I know there are different levels but to have some taste to what is served. The nurses, MA’s and CNA’s were really very helpful. Times they were rough when. PT and OT were very positive and helpful. " Skaalen Center is wonderful home filled with excellent staff. Micheal Hecht is a great asset to the facility. He works extremely well with the patients and provides wonderful weekly programs. "

"I was a patient there for about two months. Staff was wonderful and nurses very caring. I ‘d send my loved ones to this facility. Food pretty good if sometimes cold. Work on telling a woman if she is sharing her bathroom with a man. Work on placing a loud patient on a more appropriate floor. Room small but recliner and bed comfortable. Excellent service with fresh ice water even at late night times."

"My father-in-law is in Oakwood Village now. The facility itself is rather nice. It's several acres. They have a couple of ponds and swans, and there are walking paths all around it. People who are mobile enough can walk around there. There are a lot of people who really like it. He's in the nursing facility right now. He has an apartment there. It has independent living, it has assisted living, and it has full nursing care. I've only met with some of the nursing staff that had been taking care of him for the last several weeks. They seem to be really nice people and really competent, so I'm pleased that that the people that seem to be taking their job very seriously. It's institutional food. I think it's not restaurant quality of the highest restaurant, but it's OK. He likes the fact that he is independent and he can pretty much do what he wants and eat when he wants. There are hundreds of activities in a year there. They have a lot of things that are available for the people there, who seem to enjoy them. A world famous string quartet came right there just after he moved in. "

"As far as I can tell, the care that Sun Prairie Retirement Center provides to my husband has been very good, I would say excellent. I've never been in the place because of the virus. In some manner, they've accommodated outside visits by having a plexi glass with a table and being 6 feet apart. They've tried to accommodated visitations now that it's colder, though right now they're not doing the visiting. As far as I can tell it's been very good. I get reports like if he sees a doctor, he's had a fall and they called, and they've called with questions. I can talk to him virtually and they do updates if he gets his flu shot. I'm his medical attorney and they need to contact me if he gets a shot, and they do. He likes the food although I haven't seen it. He said he's comfortable. Their facility on the outside looks very nice, and they have it decorated for the season. The facility itself is fairly old but it certainly in good repair so it's fine."

"I chose Columbus Nur Rehab Center and I'm being moved there. My husband was there after his surgery, and I just feel comfortable there. Our experience was fine, they helped him a lot, and if we pushed the button they came. The food was alright; I'm a fussy eater so I wouldn't have eaten some of the stuff, but he liked the food. He was in a room by himself and there was a shared bathroom. The bathroom had a door from his room and the other door. If the other person didn't lock that door, you'd see someone sitting in the toilet. They have facilities for therapy where they do different things like weight-lifting, walk around, and up the steps. They have an area outside where you can sit on a canopy if you want to, or are out in the sun. They have a community area. The staff members were good, they were nice friendly people. The layout is good; there are a lot of windows."

"Willows Nursing & Rehab Center was fine. I didn't see any problem. They took care of my mother all right. I had no negative comments against them. The staff was very good. The food was all right. The room was always kept clean, and my mother was always kept clean. They had activities that people could do every day like playing games and watching movies, even little field trips at some place. However, my mother could not have any of that because she could not get out of bed. "

"This is my 3rd nursing home this year. They all suffer from understaffing, altho Crossroads seems to have the most staff. I like my room. It is not huge (approximately 15x10). I share a toilet with the person next to me but there is a bathroom right across the hall. There is a sink in each room to help with the twice a week showering. There are things to do here with a small group of active residents. The staff is really nice as are the therapists. The bad issue is the food. It is terrible (0 star). Low quality of food that is cooked poorly. The biggest complaint is that the food is overcooked on the outside and still undercooked on the inside. To order, they send around a form the day before, and you pick what you want. Far too often, this form is ignored. Luckily, across the hall is a fridge we can use and a microwave so I have a few days food stored and that's what I eat."

"Oak Park Place is a place for retired people who are living independently. It's a wonderful community. Their cooking is great and their hospitality is wonderful. The apartments are beautiful. They have underground parking for the cars. I can't see a thing wrong with it. It’s just a beautiful place to be. "

"Rock Haven is wonderful. They're very individualized as far as what their residents' needs are. They're kind, compassionate, and caring. I'm not talking just about the nurses, but I'm also talking about the CNAs, the social worker, and the people who clean the place. The first day we were there, everybody came in, spoke with my mom, told them their names, and said, "We know you won't remember, but we're here to take care of you, whatever your needs are. This is your home." I think that makes a big difference, making it a home for her. They've been very kind to us. They're a little more strict as far as COVID protocols, but that's ok. My mother was down this week playing euchre with another lady and she hasn't played euchre for I don't know how long. It's nice to see her doing that and coming alive a little bit. This is a huge thing. The amenities, the cleanliness, and everything are outstanding. Her room is beautiful and well painted. They have their own set of protocols for even putting or hanging things up. They'll have their own people come in and do that. They have built-in dressers, drawers and things like that. You can bring in your own things. Then they have beautiful drapes and very nice, spacious bathrooms. They make sure that her blood is tested and her insulin is tested. So, I think she's getting wonderful care."

"When I went to Karmenta Center, I saw that there were people from all ages and ethnicities and they were happy there. I felt that the ambiance and the younger people there were much suited for my daughter. I have been calling them and trying to get my daughter there, but they don't have any openings yet. "
