"When I first learned that my mother-in-law would be moving to an assisted living facility, I was terrified. I couldn't help but think of a dirty, smelly place where people walked around screaming and talking to themselves. I could not have been more wrong. Wellington is a blessing to its residents and their families. The facility is sunny, spacious and clean. The staff are friendly and helpful. I have always been made to feel at home when visiting. I wish my mother-in-law could still live at home, but since she can't, I'm glad we have Wellington. The staff are truly angels, they treat my mother-in-law as if she were their own family. The administration also goes out of its way to include families in celebrations and events. If you or a loved one have to move into an assisted living facility, please consider Wellington. I promise, you won't regret it. "

"We visited Point Manor while searching for an assisted living facility in Wisconsin for our uncle. He has lived in the area for most of his life - so he has a lot of friends and family there. The outer grounds were well taken care of and nicely appointed. The foyer was decorated with fresh flowers. Everyone we could see looked content and well taken care of. We spent some time in the visitor's dining area and could see that any resident would enjoy having his or her family there. The food was delicious - like something you'd find in a nicer casual dining establishment. The menu showed that someone took the time to think about quality food -- providing variety, healthy and great taste. The main dining room was communal, but still had an intimate feel. If they liked, the residents could sit in small groups to have their meals. There are plenty social activities -- from local parties and events to holiday gatherings for every religious denomination. The library has a nice book selection, which is added to regularly by charities, the local library, family and visitors. The variety of year-round events and outings was impressive. We could see that our uncle would be adequately intellectually stimulated there. Even in cooler months - there is plenty for residents to participate in. The work-out facilities were better than many we've seen; from the modern machines to the instructors who offer individual training and classes. The rooms were spacious and homey. This is a well-tended assisted living facility that has much to offer its residents. Overall -- looks like a great place to spend retirement years. "

"Very caring staff, very pleasant facility in most beautiful setting by the Wisconsin River. Wide variety of meals served in pleasant dining room and/or breakfast room. "

"I visited Copperleaf Assisted Living and Memory Care North Ridge for a little while, but we can't go there now because of the COVID. I think my husband is doing fine there. The rooms were fine, we toured them, and he settled on them; the rooms were good. The staff there was very loving. He's eating, so the food there must be good. It looks nice and the grounds are nice."

"North Haven is a really nice assisted living facility in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. We visited during a recent outing to the area to visit friends and family. Our aunt wants to stay in the area and can no longer live alone. The outer regions we saw -- from the main entrance to the garden and outdoor seating areas were all lovely. Our aunt has always enjoys being outside, so she would really enjoy these aspects. The main communal rooms were well-kept and nicely decorated. There was plenty of activity - from reading to games to crafts -- everyone looked like they were enjoying themselves. We understand that there are also many outings for residents to enjoy as well -- from local sporting to cultural events - such as theater, fairs, festivals, art, films and music. The main dining room was communal, but still had an intimate feel. If they liked, the residents could sit in small groups to have their meals. The menu had many quality meals with varied and healthy options. The food was delicious - like something you'd find in an upscale dining establishment. They also had a nice variety of healthy snacks that are always available. This facility was well maintained with attentive staff and seemed like a very nice place to live for seniors. "

"Harmony Commons was very nice but very expensive as well. The staff was very nice, although I did get a message saying that the gal who led me on a tour had left. There really wasn't much I saw. I don't think they had a gathering room, and one of the things I am interested in is trying to find some people that I could be friends with. I think it was great, except the one I mentioned -- a meeting room or common room -- but I didn't see anything that needs to be improved. "

"The food was good, and everybody seems to enjoy it. Wellington Place was nice, but it was a bit old facility. I wasn’t impressed with some of the employees. There were a couple of them that were arguing and left the area, and when I was leaving, there were a whole bunch of them outside smoking. I just wasn’t impressed with the people."

"I visited the Brown's Assisted Living Center approximately two weeks ago for a job interview. During the time there, I saw some things that sparked my attention. The first thing I noticed was the decor. While it looked lovely on the outside, the inside was furnished with antique looking furnishings, and just felt very old and uncomfortable. It is important to note that the assisted living home is not for elderly; it is for mentally disabled patients of various ages.I got to see the staff interacting with the patients, and thought they did a fairly well job. They interacted with them in an more personal environment, doing things that included watching television and playing games with the patients.The manager of the facility was not the friendliest person in the world, and I was not impressed with her attitude. It does concern me to think of how she would be interacting with the patients. Overally, I believe the patient's do get good care at Brown's Assisted Living, but the atmosphere should be more welcoming and better furnished. "

"They have 6 different sized apartments. We choose a large 1 bedroom for our mom. It has a full kitchen with stove, dishwasher, refrigerator. Also had laundry in the apartment. Lots of space. We put a queen size bed in the bedroom room. It fit with lots of room for her dressers and she is very happy. Daily activities, mom loves to use the pool! Food is good! Staff is very friendly! Great choice for our family and piece of mind that mom is safe!"

"Atrium Senior Living was a beautiful facility, they have birds in cages on the lower level, and it’s kind of relaxing. But I wasn’t impressed as you never saw nurse at the nursing station; there was no one to answer the call. I remember standing there one time as the person that I visited needed help so I went down as they won’t answer her call. But as far as the facility goes, it’s new and beautiful."

"A friend of mine was in The Renaissance and so I went over and visited him and then he showed me around. They got one of the nurses involved and lo and behold the room right next door to my friend was open so I got it. The people at The Renaissance were very helpful, they sent me literature and what to look for, and they gave me all kinds of good advices. My mother moved in July 30th. It worked out really well. She likes it, she's comfortable, so I feel good about it. It's right on my way to work, I can just drive right by there. Meals are good, people are friendly, and they got everything there for you. "

"Wisconsin Rapids has a smaller tone, and the people are friendly overall. The staff was very friendly and answered our questions immediately. They did their job, and everybody seemed to want to be there. "

"My dad moved into Cranberry Court on Monday. I really like it, they're very nice, and they're treating him real well. The staff is good, dad likes the food, and it looked good. He has a little kitchenette which is nice, he's got a private bathroom, and he's got his chair, his TV, and everything in there, and it's a good size for him. I liked that it's 2 buildings, there's a courtyard in the middle of both of them, and it's a nice place for them to hang out. They're very friendly, and everything looks good."

"We stopped in to check out the Harmony of Wisconsin Rapids as we were in the vicinity looking at assisted living options for our aunt. We needed to come earlier than planned, and the staff was friendly and accommodating. The manicured outside grounds looked spacious and well kept will plenty of room for parties and for residents to enjoy easily and safely. The main rooms were nicely decorated and the residents seemed quite happy. The activities looked interesting, from local entertainment, to cultural happenings in the region. Residents are encouraged to participate in everything -- from outdoor outings such as nature walks, to in-house events. The snacks offered looked healthy and delicious; the staff encouraged everyone to eat regularly, including healthy snacks that are offered throughout the day. The food we tried was delicious. They make every effort to accommodate as many tastes and dietary needs as possible. Our aunt would really like their menu options, which seemed to have a lot of variety. The library was nicely stocked - and we were told that many of the residents are avid readers, like our aunt is. She would particularly like the garden area, where many of the residents spend quality time. The residents here all looked well cared for and happy; we could see our aunt blending in well here. "
