"My aunt is at Hilltop of Pepper. I have been going there for several years, and I like the place. The times I've been there, I would give them a five because they are friendly, and my aunt's room is beautiful. You can go outside, but you can't get out of there unless you go through the main door; it is a locked place. I have been there when she was eating, and she liked it although I didn't taste it myself. They asked if I'd like to eat, but I didn't have that much time to stay. At one point when I was there, my aunt was in distress because of mouth sores or so, and I didn't know where to find the staff person because it was during lunchtime, and the one that there was the cook, so I mentioned it to the cook, and the cook went and got one of the gals that takes care of that kind of thing. She came and looked at it, and then she went and got some medication, put it on my aunt, and took care of it. "

"Arborwood Lodge is nice, clean, light, and airy. I liked the fact that it has a separate bedroom from the living area and the rooms are nice and big. The staff is friendly, caring, and available. My mother gets three meals a day, and they do all her laundry, and all her cleaning. They have exercise classes and church services if they want to attend or they could play bingo and cards. It's just a very nice, clean facility. The director was very helpful and came out to my mom's place to help do the paperwork and stuff. I'm just very pleased with everything."

"We stopped in to check out the Harmony of Wisconsin Rapids as we were in the vicinity looking at assisted living options for our aunt. We needed to come earlier than planned, and the staff was friendly and accommodating. The manicured outside grounds looked spacious and well kept will plenty of room for parties and for residents to enjoy easily and safely. The main rooms were nicely decorated and the residents seemed quite happy. The activities looked interesting, from local entertainment, to cultural happenings in the region. Residents are encouraged to participate in everything -- from outdoor outings such as nature walks, to in-house events. The snacks offered looked healthy and delicious; the staff encouraged everyone to eat regularly, including healthy snacks that are offered throughout the day. The food we tried was delicious. They make every effort to accommodate as many tastes and dietary needs as possible. Our aunt would really like their menu options, which seemed to have a lot of variety. The library was nicely stocked - and we were told that many of the residents are avid readers, like our aunt is. She would particularly like the garden area, where many of the residents spend quality time. The residents here all looked well cared for and happy; we could see our aunt blending in well here. "

"Cranberry Court was OK. I’ve known that one under a different name, and my parents had stayed there. The staff was very friendly, she showed us all around, and it was fine. The rooms were smaller, but clean. "

"My mom was a past resident at Renaissance Assisted Living, and that was a good experience. It was very homey, very clean, and had a lot of activities. They had relatively good staff. The rooms were good and very roomy, but the food wasn’t good. They had a salon, library, and a billiard table."

"My mother has already moved to Our House Senior Living - Wisconsin Rapids Assisted Care. I really enjoyed the community, the staff, the surroundings, the food, and the atmosphere. She's not really memory care, but they're able to give her lots of reminders and help. It's a 1-level facility. The dining room and gathering spaces are in the middle, and then the rooms and apartments are to the left and right. The outside appearance is very friendly with flowers, trees, and bushes. Its brick, so it's very attractive. The staff that I met was very outgoing and curious of what mom's likes and dislikes are. They cater to specific people. It's a smaler faciilty, so they're able to. I'm very pleased with it, and that they're very caring and concerned. The food is very good, and they have encouraged family members to eat with them. They have a set lunch and set dinner time. For breakfast, it's kind of any time in the morning. There's no set time for breakfast. You can either eat at 6:00 in the morning or 10:00 in the morning, but the lunch is always at noon and supper is always at 5:00. They do arts and crafts, bingo, Yahtzee, cards, board games and outside activities (like gardening). Her room has a bathroom and a sink, but we can make it anything we want. Her room is just the right size. It's not too big nor too small, but it's decorated however we want to do it. We have lots of pictures of family, and it's very homey."

"My dad moved to Hilltop Grand Village. It's always up to date. It just seems like everybody that worked there was very nice, and the whole facility is just very nice. It's pretty new. It's about seven, almost eight years old. So, it was pretty up-to-date on stuff. His apartment is pretty spacious. He has a one-bedroom, and it's a pretty good size for one person. They have a swimming pool. They have activities. They have mass there. They have a barbershop. They do pedicures, manicures, haircuts, and a home therapist if they need it. They cook their own meals. They just have a lot. The value for money was very reasonable."

"I visited the Brown's Assisted Living Center approximately two weeks ago for a job interview. During the time there, I saw some things that sparked my attention. The first thing I noticed was the decor. While it looked lovely on the outside, the inside was furnished with antique looking furnishings, and just felt very old and uncomfortable. It is important to note that the assisted living home is not for elderly; it is for mentally disabled patients of various ages.I got to see the staff interacting with the patients, and thought they did a fairly well job. They interacted with them in an more personal environment, doing things that included watching television and playing games with the patients.The manager of the facility was not the friendliest person in the world, and I was not impressed with her attitude. It does concern me to think of how she would be interacting with the patients. Overally, I believe the patient's do get good care at Brown's Assisted Living, but the atmosphere should be more welcoming and better furnished. "

"I would strongly recommend the Delaney home for anyone looking for a small Hometown Assisted Living place. Tim and Melissa truly care about their patients. I feel the care they give is over and above of what is expected of assisted living places, and tnat speaks well of them. Their staff is knowledgeable and kind. My relative enjoys living there and it is home to her. I cannot say enough about their home and what they have done for my family member."

"My father was there . He was very hard to please. But he loved it. Great staff and food. I checked alot of places , this Riverview is way the finest in the area. Beautiful, very peaceful location. That's what a home should be. They have and can provide different levels of care if needed. "
