What a beautiful place! the staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. they treated my family like their own. I am so happy we chose them and so was our family member.

High staff turnover. No trained staff. Low staff to resident ratio. That post an activity calendar. Staff tell families that they never perform any activities as they are too busy. Owned by a larger corporation.

My brother will be moving to Our House Senior Living - Wausau Assisted Care. We chose this place because it was very nice, clean, friendly, and close to where I live. The person who gave me the tour was very friendly, very informative, and was concerned about my brother. They clean the rooms once a week, unless it needs more cleaning. They painted everything fresh. The bed was comfortable, and the furnishings that were in there were nice. Their dining area was homey and nice-looking. They have special parties for Christmas, Easter, and birthdays. They do projects with them. It's a little bit of a country setting, so they can go out and sit on the porch, enjoy the birds, and stuff like that. Overall, I was impressed. Cost-wise, it's a little bit lower than some of the other ones I looked into.

My mother is happy in Our House Senior Living - Wausau Assisted Care. She is enjoying her time up there. It's small. There are only about 16 to 18 people there. The girls that work there really make sure that everybody feels wanted to be there and looks in on them. They're interested in what they like or what they don't like to make them feel as comfortable as possible. They do different activities with them. A week ago on a Friday, they had an Appreciation Day where they had all the tenants come together and do a lot of different crafts. They do that kind of situation. They will team them up. They found a couple of ladies there to come the first day that my mother was there for lunch and dinner. They sat together because they thought their personalities would be very much alike, and that's how they get you involved in getting to know people there. I have not tried the food, but my mother loves it.
