"Capitol Ridge was very nice and very clean. And the workers, the CNA’s, and the nurses seemed very dedicated to the residents. Them paying attention to the residents was the main thing. "

"Wingate Residences on the East Side was very nice and very much like a hotel. The staff was very attentive to our tour and very nice. It seemed like they had a daily schedule of nice activities to do, like a pool and exercise program in an exercise room. "

"My mother-in-law is in Anchor Bay at East Providence. I loved the whole place. It's a beautiful place. It's great food for her. They told us that they would help us when it came time to switch over to Medicaid. However, one of our friends who is also there broke his foot. They tried to get Medicaid to help, but they said Medicaid does not help with memory care. We didn't know that. They were going to run my mother-in-law's money out and then when Medicaid was supposed to take over, they were going to say, "Oh, no, sorry, you got to take her somewhere else." It was awesome. I liked the place. The problem is it's under new management. The staff has been great and very helpful. They get three meals a day. I have not tried the food, but I have read what they have, and I have seen it when we've been there and we're visiting. The plates are perfectly sized for them and it always smells wonderful and looks wonderful. It's been great. The activities are quite good. I haven't been around to witness any with my own eyes, but my mother-in-law loves it. They just need to be upfront and honest with people."

"Very friendly atmosphere. Helpful staff, confident that they care for their residents & know them all by name. Very clean & well kept rooms & bright dining rooms. Safe feeling, nice areas to go outdoors. Staff are kind & cheerful people, always showing concern for my mom. Fantastic and regular amusement & music & food festivities! I enjoy seeing the photos they take & post on social media."

"My aunt and uncle moved into assisted living in The Highlands. When we went to visit, my uncle took us around, and I noticed how happy everyone seemed and how friendly all the caregivers were. The rooms were nice, pleasant, and roomy. I would say it is spacious, and it is more than enough room than they probably needed, so it was roomy for them. The dining room is very nice. I know they have a list of activities every day, but I'm not sure exactly what they have. My aunt has mentioned bingo and cards. Sometimes they have guests that come in to entertain them. It seems very safe and secured, but I don't know too much about it. They had a woman at the front desk, and they had a book for you to login. I would say the outside ground was very small. It would have been nicer if they had a larger yard or a larger area on the outside for the residents to enjoy. "

"I toured Wingate Residences on Blackstone Boulevard. Driving into the facility, I looked at it and I had questions about it because of the curb appeal. It looks like an old brick building, but as soon as you enter, it is very nice. The staff was very nice. One thing I do remember about that location, is they have a memory care unit, so if it was determined my mom had dementia, they have facilities to handle that. And it is a locked-down floor in the building, so you have to have code access to access that area. They showed me around, and I saw a chapel, a hairdressing salon, and an exercise room, which were very nice. I met a couple of the residents, and they seemed to be very happy. At the very end of the tour, they showed me a room that they had set up. It was a room where residents could get on to like Zoom or Skype or something like that to see their family. It had a nice computer and big monitors, so they could see their family, and I thought that was a very nice idea. The accommodation was very similar to what I saw. I saw one room like a hotel room. They have both fully furnished as well as unfurnished. Their price was a little bit more expensive, and that's the only thing. Because of the memory care facility that they have, that is very nice indeed. If someone needed it, that would probably be a place to go, but the prices were a little bit to swallow."

"South Bay was very nice, but definitely out of our price range, and we found that out pretty quickly. It was what I expected to see, so I wasn't surprised or anything like that. It was a very nice place. We talked about the transportation they provide, which was something that I was interested in. They do have activities, and there is a schedule that goes out. They don't have a pool. I looked it up online, so it was pretty much everything that I had probably seen online. There wasn't a time where they couldn't answer any of my questions. It was very clean. "

"We chose Brookdale Sakonnet Bay for Mom because we liked the staff, the amenities, and the proximity to our home. She's very happy there. They serve 3 meals a day. The staff is very cooperative and gets back to me very quickly if I have questions. I'd call or email, and I'd get an answer within hours. They are very responsive. Mom does exercise in the gym and group exercises every day. They meet in the pub, and they do trivia games and socializing. They also have a happy hour which she enjoys every day. They also have music activities regularly. They also have outside activities like trips, shopping, an errand day, museums, and scenic rides. On Tuesdays, they can arrange transportation to go to their doctors. The place is older, but it's kept up very well. They meet with the residents once a month to get feedback from them."

"My brother will be moving into Chapel Hill Senior Living. The director showed us around, and I was pleased with everything. We chose this facility because it's between my house and his daughter's house. The facility was very clean and organized. They had a garden area and several common areas inside and outside that were very nice. They had activity areas, a library, and a pub. They had clubs for everyone. The staff members were very nice."

"The rooms are bright, however some have to room with a roommate. They offer various types of food, exercise and activities. They also have a bus that can take some of them out to the mall if they want. "

"I toured All American Assisted Living at Wrentham and I like that it was clean. The people there were very friendly, the apartments were nice and they were a good size. It's just a comfortable feeling. The person who showed me around was friendly, gave me information, and answered my questions. I wasn't rushed at all and they took their time with me, made sure that if I have any questions they wrote that down for me, and gave me a nice folder to take home. She was very nice, her name was Sydney. The apartments that I looked at had a refrigerator, and you supply your own microwave."

"We chose Coventry because my brother’s wife had been there for seven years, and she received such excellent care. I don’t think there is a better place anywhere. When it was time for my sister-in-law to go into a nursing home, I looked up the nursing homes within the 10-mile radius of our home, and my husband and I picked out six of them. We toured them, and this one was on top. There was no other choice for when it was time for my brother to go there. The staff is very cooperative and very caring. I couldn’t even think of all the positive words to describe them. He has a private room that is very big and very nicely furnished. The food is excellent. I can only say positive things about this place. "

"We are residents of Summer Villa. It has a yard. During the summer, they plant vegetables there. It has a driveway, and they put tables, chairs, and umbrellas for the summer. You can go there and eat on Thursdays for lunch, usually. As far as the upkeep, I upkeep my own room because I don't want anyone in my room, but there is a woman, her name's Maria, she does the cleaning, and she works really hard. There's a medtech and a nurse during the day. Then at night, there's medtech for the next two shifts. Everyone seems okay. They take us to Walmart twice a month. They also take people to other places, like bowling, the pool, and the beach. Every week, we play bingo, we do arts and crafts, and then there are other games that they do, like trivia. They have a musician come in once a month, and she is very good. They were having a gentleman for yoga, but I don't know if he's still coming. So, we're pretty well taken care of. They find things to do, but people don't want to do them. The food is ok. Sometimes it comes out burnt, and sometimes it comes out raw or cold. They have a microwave that you can use to warm it up. If you don't care for what they're serving, you have to go talk to the chef, and he has alternatives. They have ice cream every Saturday night. There is dessert or snack time at 7 pm every night. I don't know what they cost, but they take our disability checks. Medicare covers whatever. I guess it's worth it."

"My mom has been a resident for almost a year. She absolutely loves the staff and the family environment. She enjoys the food, staff and events. She can balance her interactive time and private time which makes her happy, She really enjoys staying at the Commonwealth house as we know this was the right choice for her... and probably would be a good choice for your loved ones."
