"Hampton Manor of Trenton is beautiful. I wanted to go there. I didn't see the meals, but the dining rooms were nice. The rooms needed a little more friendliness to them. They were kind of cold and sterile. The only thing I didn't like about them is that it costs $1500 just to walk through the door with a patient, like for them to do the paperwork on it or something. It's above and beyond what you would pay a month. I like that they give the patient's family a code to put in the door. That was a good deal. They have a courtyard, and during nice weather, the patients can get outside and enjoy the fresh air. They can't get to the road or anything like that. It's a really nice courtyard they could go to. The lady who toured us was very informative and very nice. She also straight-out told you what all the expenses were."

"I only met one of the staff members at Allegria Village, and she was pleasant. She was the Director of Admissions. The facility looked clean. It was well kept on the outside and the inside. It looked like they had good programming. The studio was a standard size. They had a large dining area. They had food that could be brought in the room as well. It was like banquet hall style. I have eaten there before, and the food was OK. They had outdoor activities and field trips. They had different programs that come inside. The grounds were well maintained. They had villas, pond areas, benches, and gazebo settings."

"My husband is at American House Westland Venoy, and I can't really complain. I don't have no negativity as far as him being there. The physical appearance of the place is good. I'm not gonna say it's modern, but it's well-kept. The staff is courteous and very informative. He gets breakfast there, but sometimes he doesn't want to eat it. There are days when it's good, and there are days when he doesn't eat his meals. They have a calendar of activities. They do coloring, toss basketball, exercise video, and puzzles; he doesn't really participate. I wish it could be cheaper. They have amenities like a salon. I think maybe he could use another light, but he's got a little lamp. They also have a garden patio. Right now, they got it decorated for Halloween."

"Blessed Assisted Living & Memory Care had a nice atmosphere and I liked all the activities they were telling me about. I saw one room and it was very roomy and sort of like a room in a home. The staff was very knowledgeable and they tried to answer all the questions I asked. They gave me a lot of input. I saw the game rooms and the dining area was also a nice room."

"It is very nice, and they have lots to offer. It is the location that we are looking at because my children are living further south. I have nothing bad to say about them. They have field trips to the casino and to special events like opera or plays. They answered everything we have questions for. "

"I like The Westland House. It would have been my second choice. The staff was friendly, and the place appeared to be clean from what I saw. The rooms were nice and large. They check on their residents five times a day, which I was impressed about. My interaction was limited to the person who showed us the place, and she was friendly. The people when you walked in the door were also friendly. We saw the cafeteria. I like the fact that they provide snacks for the seniors even after their mealtime hours. So, at night, if they got hungry, they were willing to give them snacks. That's good for them. They have various activities also for them."

"My mom love Glen Abbey. The staff is friendly and caring and they go the extra mile. There are a lot of fun activities to choose from. Her room is bright and cheery and spacious. She enjoys going down to the salon to have her hair done. The food is very good and a wide variety is offered. The staff is always very helpful."

"I visited American House Livonia. It was all on one level, and my father was in a wheelchair. It was not too big or small, enough to where he can get around. Everybody was friendly and everything's included. So, the price was right for us. His particular apartment has a roll-in bathroom so his wheelchair can go all the way down to the shower, to the toilet, to the sink. And it's. It's perfect for him, I forgot what she called that bistro kind of thing, where they can sit around and have coffee, snacks, and watch sports; that was one thing he would be interested in. They also have the medical team right there for his physical therapy, and his showering. They have a salon for his haircut."

"My mom has been here since April and for several months I was extremely happy with the facility, the staff was great when it came to the care of the residents. The only problem I had in the beginning was missing clothes and shoes. Recently the staff and administrators have changed and not for the better, I don’t understand why the change because the old staff was the best, no one is hardly available to address my concerns and the nursing staff is not as professional like the old staff which I wish could come back. At this point I’m looking for a new facility especially since they have increased their fees $200.00 and their services are no longer worth it. The only thing that is consistent from the time my mom moved in would be the activity director Bridgit, she is amazing and has my mother very active. It saddens me to see this beautiful place and staff in the beginning to change so drastically to the point I’m removing my mother from her comfort zone but I can’t keep her there. We had a life scare and Jatonya noticed she wasn’t breathing right called ems which I was told had it been any later she wouldn’t be here today. She is no longer there and that’s sad she was excellent at her job and I don’t feel this new staff are as attentive as the old staff, while I visit no one comes and check on her which they never know when we visit for this unhappiness I feel now she’s going to leave as soon as I find another happy place. I’m so sad to do this to my mom but the only thing to keep her there would be to return the old staff completely"
