"My mother was on their service and received THE BEST CARE! Her nurse and aide were like family and always stayed longer than necessary to make sure she was taken are of and my questions were answered. The social worker helped us to get her survivor's benefits from the VA AND apply for Medicaid so she could go to a nursing home when her care got to be too hard for me at home. I don't know what I would have done without them and I feel like I can be at peace with her death because I know she was treated so well and was made to be comfortable during her last few weeks of life. "

"We went with Brighton Hospice for my father, and they were really good. They did everything.They had a nurse come out twice a week. They had a nurse's aide come out five times a week. They had a reverend come out, basically just about anything you needed at that point. All the people were just very caring and very personable. They were very nice. They offered grief counseling. I would highly recommend them for anybody's loved ones."

"We used Trinity Health At Home hospice care for my mother-in-law. They did an excellent job. They came when they said they would come and did what they had to do. It was good. They were a lot of help. They're friendly and helpful. We paid them for an hour, but they only stayed for half an hour. Their billing was weird. They're supposed to stay here for an hour, and they never did. However, they took care of what they had to do."

"We only had Custom Health for nine days, but the service was excellent. The staff was great and couldn't have been more kind. Each person that came to the house was lovely and caring. They were great. "

"I cannot say enough about Season's Hospice. My mom was at home when they put her in hospice. They took very good care of my mom. My mom's nurse, Paula, was always there for us when we needed her. Always available to answer our questions and if my mom wasn't feeling well Paula was right there. Unfortunately our mom passed away shortly after being in hospice. A nurse came very quickly that morning when we told her our mom was passing. She walked us through the steps on what was going to happen and told us what to do to comfort our mom. When she passed Paula made all of the arrangements we needed. They also offered support group meetings online, which was comforting. I would not have chosen a different facility. "

"My family was introduced to this service while at Bi-County Hospital (I guess now called Henry Ford/Macomb) when our mother was dying in late 2007. She received home services and died at home. Everything about the experience from the initial contact onward was VERY respectful and responsive, and helped make a horrible time into a bearable one for all of us. Moreover, it made my mother happy and at peace, to be well cared for at home. Follow-up contact with the family continued for a full year after her death. Really well-done hospice services."

"We're doing an in-home hospice for my husband right now. It's okay. I have no problem with them. It is just the idea that you have to have them here. My husband doesn't like that idea. However, the care they're giving is well managed. We have a nurse that comes in once a week, a social worker that comes in every week or two, and aides that come in twice a week. Overall, they're all good. "

"The Michigan Community VNA has taken over all of the stress and pressure of trying to make sure that my husband gets the best hospice care possible. They cooperate with the current facility that he's in, they're making sure that he has the right medications, and they come in and visit regularly. I don't know their full schedule, but I do know they're on-call 24 hours. My favorite aide is Jamie. She came out on a Sunday to bathe him and get him comfortable, because where he used to be they could not get him comfortable. That place kind of evicted my husband and asked me to find another place, but the VNA came through. The nurses are great. The referrals that they found for me helped, they're the ones that found my husband's current facility. They gave me something that nobody else could give me. They gave me peace of mind along with their help."

"My mom was in the Beaumont Hospice program for over two months - She passed away on 11/17. I want to make sure that anyone who is in the position to have to choose a hospice program for their loved one knows just how WONDERFUL every person that we came in contact with (doctors, nurses, aides, social workers, massage therapists, chaplains, etc.) in both the inpatient hospice care and home hospice care was! Saying THANK YOU to these amazing individuals just doesn't seem like it's enough! They treated my mom AND my family with such care, respect, gentleness, and attention to detail - I could go on and on! We feel so blessed that we chose the Beaumont Hospice program/team to care for my mom (and my family) during such an anxiety filled, confusing, emotional, and stressful time. Any time that we called with questions or if we needed actual assistance from a nurse, etc., they would be there, day or night, it didn't matter! 100% support - 100% of the time! My family was able to spend so much quaility time with my mom before she made the peaceful transition to eternal life and this was all possible because of the Beaumont Hospice team and the care and support that they provided! "We used Beaumont Hospice for my father. They were really good, very caring, very loving, and not only supported the person who was ailing, but the family was also supported. They came out to the house and they treated him. Another thing that they were good at is they give you a 1-800 number 24 hours a day. If you need anything in the evening or during the night time, they're there for you. I just can't say enough about them."

"My mother in law had received hospice at the end of her journey. Our RN was Heather during the day and Dawn at night. They each were amazing women. First with Heather, she absolutely came in compassionate, understanding, and open to all ideas and ways. She gave us the tools and teaching that we needed to take on the care of my mother in law. We had them for only 11 days but They impacted our family. She came out or called any time we needed her and never once did I seem to think we were a bother. Heather even would take the time out to call and make sure we were alright and my mother in law was doing fine. After my mother in law had passed, she had come to sit with me for a bit. I didn't deserve such kindness but I got it anyway. She listened to me, laughed with me, and let me cry. She also comforted me. She went over and beyond her job and I am forever grateful to her. Dawn was on call at night and she had run out the house a few times to either give us supplies or if we had any concerns she was there. She always had been so kind and sweet. She was there to take care of my mother in law once she had passed and did such a great job and was very respectful to us as a family. She was able to guide us on what we are able to do and let us take our time with my mother in law. We never seemed rushed or pushed. She went well beyond her job duties. Sarah was the massage therapist, thank you for her massage. Margaret was so happy that day. Jennifer who was the Aid for my mother in law was amazing. She is a very friendly, outgoing, funny girl. She let us help bath Margaret and ask alot of questions. She was very respectful and sweet. She always went over her job for us. To all those women, Thank you!!!! Her last days were filled with love, caring, and most important peace. It was exhausting, sad, with some laughs in between and you guys made the difficult situation smoother. I am forever grateful for the kindness you all showed us. God bless you all."

"American House Sterling Meadows was great. Under the tension of COVID, they still did fabulous with my mother-in–law. She had no complaints at all. When she first came in, she was mobile with a walker, and then eventually we had hospice come in, and that's where she passed at. The facility itself looked very nice. It was a three-story building and she was on the second floor. She had a two-bedroom. They had a beautiful dining room on the main floor, and activity rooms on the second floor. They had different denominations of religion that would come in on Sundays, and social activities. The staff was very good and she got excellent care. They gave her an option with every meal, and her appetite actually improved. They had entertainment come in, they could use a shuttle to go to doctors' appointments if they wanted to, therapy was offered, and they had a hairdresser. It set her needs. So, it was absolutely worth every penny we paid them."
