The nurse that I have is great with her, but the service with the agency is not great. I've been looking for a nurse for two weeks and they have nobody to cover the case. They never have available nurses to cover the shift.

They could hire people that know how to do their job or they can train their caregivers. They need to ask more questions instead of just yes or no questions. My biggest problem is that they send me people that lay around and do not know how to make a bed or clean the toilet. And there is not availability of people.

I think they were good because of their friendliness. It was the emotional and physical care my mother needed. My mother was very easy to deal with, she's a people person, loves people, and has always nurtured people. The caregivers appreciated her. My mother just loved everyone. I think they were able to meet the needs we have. In addition to the home health care, they also helped with other things I needed, such as entertaining guests my mother had.

They help me a lot. I'm in a wheelchair. I have pain in my shoulders, so they help me. They clean up my area and kitchen. They run the Swiffer on the floor and make my bed. I like a lot about BrightStar. The one I had was an excellent worker, but I think she is going to school now.

My nurse quit, and then they sent two people on different days when I told them I had something going on. I didn't know anybody was coming. They didn't call me and let me know someone was coming. I would have said to not send someone because I was not there. I felt bad for the people that came. I thought they would have called me first. I thought that wasn't very professional. I would recommend them. I have had some problems lately, but I don't hold that against them.

The difficulty that I am having is that I am 85 years old, and without any help from BrightStar, I do not know how my husband would be able to get out of the hospital, since I would not be able to take care of him. I would highly recommend them because I like the way they treat us.

They could come in and do what they are supposed to do. They could do housework, bathe me, wash my hair, make my bed, change my sheets, and do things like that. When they come, they could care for the patient and make them something to eat. I am bed bound. They could tidy up a bit and not just sit and talk.

One of the things they helped with the most with was the bed baths. They could train their caregivers better. They don't make good use of their time as they are in and out pretty quick. I didn't get the time I paid for.

The times when BrightStar Care has to pick caregivers for me, they wait until the last minute and then just pick anyone that is available. I have given them as much information as possible, but they don't seem to use that information. I don't feel like they try very hard to place the right caregivers with me and I don't feel like they really care.
