I visited Mayfair House Assisted Living. Their rooms are a good size, you can put a bed, a dresser, a desk, and a closet in them. They also have a Jack and Jill bathroom, or private ones. They also have furniture that you can use if you didn't have any. They are remodeling, and that's a good thing because the building is a little old. Everybody was very nice, they were very inviting and kind, and they answered all our questions and offered any kind of help if we need it. They showed me their calendar, and they have a bus that would take them on trips around the town or to church. They have a beauty salon and nice patios, there were three or four patios. It was a nice and quiet place. It's one of the more affordable ones.

Mayfair House was an older place and not as fancy as the others, but it's nice, and the care was good. The therapist my mother had also worked at the Mayfair House, and he told me about it. He said that they take good care of them there. They had a nice dining room, a nice common area to watch movies and television and have a little concert, a piano, and people come in to sing and do different things for them. The rooms were nice. They had private rooms with bathrooms and private rooms with shared bathrooms. All the residents seemed happy. The person in charge of the place was extremely helpful. If I had it my way, that's where Mom would've gone.

We chose Mayfair House for my parents and it has been two months since they have been there. The place is very clean. All of the employees that we met are very caring and attentive. They take care of their meds. There's a doctor's office right next door so they can easily get them to the doctor. They have two rooms with a shared rest room. They have activities as far as exercise and games. They love it there.

We place my mother at Mayfair House because of the atmosphere, the care, and the closeness to our home. My mother is so much better from the time we put her in there. It's unbelievable how they have helped her come back a little bit. They have a doctor who is taking care of the residents and giving her medications. She loves the nurses there.

Mayfair House looked a lot better than where my mother is in. I didn't see most of the staff, but the lady that runs it was very nice.

My visits to Mayfair Manor Assisted Living Facility were generally positive. Each time I visited, a staff member greeted me at the door and asked who I wanted to visit. Then, I was escorted to my great aunt's room. On my last visit, a staff member advised me that my aunt's alzheimer's had advanced and so she was moved to a different wing of the facility so that she could be more secure and monitored. The facility always appeared clean and the staff was pleasant. The rooms were like home away from home. My aunt had pictures on the walls and a television in her room. However, the rooms were a little small. The lounge area of the facility was spacious and seemed to be a popular hang out spot for the residents. There was a large television in the lounge and some magazines to aimed at keeping the residents entertained. Overall, my opinion of Mayfair Manor is positive.
