The property manager and the staff at The Oaks at Hampton are very helpful and informative. You cook your own food. We have an activity room and it's large. It has a large kitchen, an up-to-date exercise room, a crafts room where we have bingo and stuff, and a theater room. On Thursdays, you have movies, and during the week, they have different kinds of crafts, bingo, and they play cards. If you want to have a family get-together or something, they have that available with the large kitchen and eating area where you can entertain your family. They have a pool and a barbecue area. We have a community garden. It's very calming, and it's gated. The garbage is picked up on Mondays and Fridays. It's very convenient, and it's very appropriate for seniors who are up and about and able to take care of themselves. The rent is income-based, but they offer certain assistance for deposits or something like that. They require that you do have insurance. Value for money is very good.

The staff is the greatest they have been so much help when it comes to My uncle. They didnt have to go the extra mile but they did. And not once but a few times. Thank you Staff. Thank you very much! If we only had this kind of staffing greatness everywhere life would be grand.

I stayed at The Oaks at Hampton but I don't recommend anyone to go there. Their staff has a really bad attitude. I lived there for 2 years and I left last July. They kept selling the place, I think they've sold it 3 times in the past 2 years. What I liked was that it was quiet. What I liked least was that they don't fix anything on time and they don't clean up the yard. The trash by the dumpster was a mess. I even saw a bobcat over there because the nature reserve is right behind it and I didn't like that at all. It's a 55+ place so they don't offer food or anything. They have an exercise room and a pool but in the 2 years that I was there, the pool was never opened. The computer room did not work either. The upkeep was a problem there. I tried to get down for 6 months to come and fix my window shade and it just stayed hanging down after the maintenance man, with his hammer, broke it by mistake. I ended up paying $25 for it. They charged me $1230 a month but that was not worth it. I had to deal with nasty people in the office building, and the facility outside was not clean. You have to pay $1500 for a 2-bedroom and 2-bath, but it would take you a month to get your repairs done. When I moved out, some of the repairs I needed when I first went in were still not done. They should take the prices down, get new staff, and clean up.
