I wouldn’t send a dog to this place. The careless & unprofessional treatment my grandmother received at this place I have no words for. When someone goes into a facility for rehab to build up strength that had a feeding tube & isn’t suppose to have anything by mouth & is given a cup of ice water it shows how careless the staff is at this place. Not to mention she was doped up & slept pretty much all the time up til one day I called a demanded to speak with her on the phone to realize she had aspiration pneumonia I could here the gurgling sounds while talking to her. I had to tell them to send her to the hospital.

I think they spent all the money on furnishings and pretty fountains, etc. to up the occupancy. They are totally unorganized and desperately understaffed. Professionalism is nonexistent. I am leaving this review to warn others who may be thinking of placing a loved one into the care at Life Care of East Ridge. I would check out other facilities.

My mother is in Life Care Center Of East Ridge and they're wonderful. They keep her room very clean, and the people there were very nice and accommodating. We've never had any problems with them. The food is average, but it always is since they're budgeted. They had continuing physical therapy that my mom was in three times a day. The cost is covered by insurance. The dining area and the whole place has waterfalls and stained glass ceilings. It's like staying at a 5-star hotel. My mother loves the therapists, who are wonderful.

Life Care East Ridge did not want to keep us up to date on my mom's health. We came in many times when my mom was sitting in a chair, wet and smelly. They would get her up for only rehab, and she would not walk anymore. You could not get over a hip replacement just walking once a day. You're not going to get better. The anesthesia bothers anybody that's starting to have dementia, and the anesthesia did bother her. However, they kept her sitting so they could keep an eye out on her. It was her downfall, and she has never come back from that. Their rehab people are terrific, but their nursing facility and their management are horrible. Several times I came in smelling urine. I won't say they're well maintained. When you're paying money, you'd expect to things to not smell like urine. I was very disappointed. However, the food was good, and the lady that made sure everybody ate was even attentive to my mom, trying to make sure she was eating.

My mother stayed here for 100 days for rehab after back surgery. The nursing staff was very kind but profoundly over worked. The nurses only seemed to have enough time to pass meds. The nursing techs who did the hands on care were not generaly inclined to do a good job. They were never able to answer questions about my mothers stause, ex: when has my mother has her last bowel movent, The therapy staff was hit or miss; some staff memebers really seemed to care and motivate her, others stayed on their phones texing and talking while my mother sat on the machine she was suppose to be using for the alloted time. Complaints to administration made no diffrence . I had to make the complaints over and over again and nothing ever seemed to improve from it. The food there was also hit or miss, generally inedible . My mother does not eat eggs there and it took there two whole weeks to stop sending her eggs.
