My experience with Creekside at Shallowford has been very good. Everybody here is very, very friendly. I enjoyed it. Even the people that live here, not just the staff, have been very friendly to me. They showed me around and helped me out in getting to know the place a little better and that sort of thing. Everything's very pleasant here. I have a beautiful apartment. Other than the three meals a day, they have housekeeping. Once a week they come in and if I use their sheets and their towels, they do the laundry for those while I do my own personal laundry. They have a lot of activities going on and sightseeing. They go around and see different places like going to the stores. They also take you to your doctor's appointments. The dining area is very, very nice. It's all set up with placemats, napkins, and utensils. The food has been OK. It's not bad, but it could be better. They stopped serving a week ago because of the Coronavirus and so they were delivering food to the rooms, which is OK.

Creekside At Shallowford was a very nice place. All the people were very friendly. But my mother needs assisted living instead of independent living. The rooms were nice and very big. They had very big closets, and they all had a patio or balcony. The place was kept very well.

I toured Creekside At Shallowford. They have a really nice one-bedroom apartment that I was hoping for my father to be able to get if we were to need them. It has a separate living area from his bedroom, which would have been nice. The place was very clean. One of the rooms had a private patio, which was nice, too. I interacted with the social coordinator, and she was awesome. She spent a lot of time with me. She was very friendly. She knew the special things that the residents needed or wanted. She did a lot of activities with them, too. The thing that I like most about this facility was that they would arrange for my father to be taken to his doctor's appointments if he needed that. They would also take them out for shopping trips. They have a very active community there, which is nice. I got to speak with the chef, and he seemed to really care about what the residents wanted. I asked some of the residents how the food was, and they told me it was great. They have a very nice outdoor patio area with walking paths that are paved. For someone who likes that, that's definitely a plus. They also have a room where family members visiting from out of town could stay in, which I thought was plus.

Creekside At Shallowford has services during the day hours. They have a nurse that comes by once a week. They also have a therapist who comes by there. They provide food three times a day. But no nighttime security or staffing. I think it would be a wonderful place to live; it's just that my income is not going to allow me to without some assistance from the VA. But the VA is not going to give me any assistance with it because it doesn't have 24-hour staffing. They seemed very concerned with the people staying there. The facility was very clean.

Creekside at Shallowford was our second choice. It was a great facility, but the rooms were a little smaller. Nevertheless, it was a beautiful setup. They had the same options as the other place as far as the meals and things like that. The activities seemed great. Everything seemed fine. The unit would have been much smaller for the same amount of money that my sister is getting now. The lady that gave the tour was wonderful though. The food smelled good. The structure of the building was fine. The atmosphere seemed friendly and calm.

I like the environment at Creekside at Shallowford. The whole place was nice and clean. The people that work there were very helpful. They've got beautiful landscaping and a place in the back where the residents can go and sit. It's very peaceful and very pretty. The staff was very informative, very friendly, and very cooperative. They were very nice. You get three meals a day, breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The facility seemed to be very structurally sound. The people that work and live there seemed to be very friendly. It looks like they have a lot. They had a table set up with jigsaw puzzles and books and someone was celebrating their 65th wedding anniversary. So, they had a party for them and there was entertainment there.

My parents have moved to Creekside at Shallowford. It's a very nice place and the staff is amazing. My parents are still trying to adjust but they love their apartment, it's got everything they need, and it's very nice. It's about 650 square feet, one bedroom, a living room, and a bathroom, it comes with a washer and dryer, and the kitchen is fully equipped. They're offered three meals a day plus snacks 24/7. The food is one thing they're trying to adjust to, so it's a hit or miss. They're having a sock hop so my mom was practicing for that and that made us happy. They also have Bible studies, they have a salon, a pharmacy, they have a movie theater, a room where they can play pool, and a game room where they can do puzzles. The grounds are gorgeous, they look beautiful and clean. It's just a very nice place.

I toured Creekside at Shallowford. When you step in, there's a dining room right immediately off to the left, and it seems kind of compact to me. The layout was pretty, but it seemed a little tight and small to me. The apartments were small and very compact, too. The person who assisted me was very helpful and very willing to answer questions. They had a pamphlet. He took me on the tour himself. I didn't get to experience their food, but I got to see a sample of their menu. In comparison to the other place, there were very limited choices. I didn't see a whole lot of people, too. They mentioned that they have a card room where residents can play cards. There are two places that have big jigsaw puzzles where people can come by and work on them. The place is also very clean.

Everybody at Creekside at Shallowford was so nice and friendly. Even the residents themselves could not have been any nicer. The building was nice on the outside, but the rooms were just not where I would want to put my cousin. The layout looked nice, but they were damp, musty. That's no fault of theirs. It's just the building itself, but they had a lot of social activities such as arts and crafts, and a lot of things that you could do. They also have physical therapy and a nurse that comes in.

We like Creekside at Shallowford. My dad's been satisfied with where he is. The staff is great. I couldn't ask for anyone better. The rooms on the first level have patios while the rooms on second level have balconies (the one with a balcony is what we chose for dad). It is a one-bedroom apartment with a kitchenette. They have all kinds of games such as pool tables and chess. At least once a week, they have a concert, and also outdoor activities where they take them on their little bus to go to different places like the museum, the aquarium or just to tour around the city. They have movie night where once a week they serve popcorn and then play a movie on a movie screen as well. They have more amenities than you could want. Initially, the food was great though. They had lots of options, but the menu is a little off right now and is not as good as it was the first week.

We toured Creekside at Shallowford in person. Everything was just fabulous. All the people were super nice and super helpful. The lady that we just spoke to (Erica) and sat down with was extremely helpful. Overall, it was a good experience, and the rooms were pleasantly pretty good size, so we were quite pleased with them. We didn't do a total inspection. We kind of walked through, looked at square footage, and what my mother-in-law would need to bring with her. As for activities, she loves the library. She loves overlooking the garden. She's just ready for the next chapter in her life. She also likes it because it was a quiet place. It was quiet, and it wasn't all chaotic. The dining area looked fabulous. We even got shown a little private dining area, where families can make reservations and have dinners with 10 to 12 people. You can have a dinner in their little private dinner area. I was super impressed.

We toured Creekside at Shallowford and I just love it. I'm trying to get in there as hard as I can. I've just applied to the Vets for help. I've been there a couple of times on a tour, and I've had two dinners there, separate times, and I love the food. The food is restaurant-style, cooked on premises, and served restaurant-like to the table. I love that they have a menu. It's not just one thing or two things to choose from. I love the decorations and I love the nice portraits on the wall. It is a place that I could just spend the rest of my life. The views from the windows are nice. They have nice balconies outside and outside your door on each floor. They have services there and the help that I would need. I have arthritis bad in my hands and legs and they have helped with the help that I need in the mornings to get ready for the day, and at night to bed. They just have everything I need. The beauty, the food, everything is nice. We spoke with all the staff, the kitchen, and the maintenance. The residents there came up to us and it was wonderful. It was a very nice welcome for sure. There were two people, a man and a young lady that took us through, me and my two daughters. They love it, and I love it, too, and they love it that I love it, too. My daughters are vegetarians, and they serve them well. I love the one bedroom and the layout was just really fantastic and convenient. The shower is great, and they have someone that can come in the morning and help me with that. I really wanted this particular apartment.

Creekside at Shallowford is a nice community. It's a nice setting. It's a little bit off of the highway, it has three floors, they have a nice dining area, and the meals have been pretty good. She gets at least one good meal a day for sure, and she's doing all right. There's no problem. The only thing that kind of surprised me was if she needed any kind of assistance, that would be an additional charge. So if someone gives her medications, there would be an additional charge. If on a certain day for some reason she wasn't feeling well, there would be a charge to deliver food to her room. Lunch is usually the best meal and breakfast, I understand, is fairly good. The evening meal is like a sandwich, some kind of wrap, or something along those lines. There wasn't room for her bed, so we had to buy her another bed, because she had a queen-size. She has a little patio outside. It's very small, but it's enough for her to have maybe two chairs out there so she can sit outside. She will enjoy that, I think, when the weather cools. There's no problem with it. She has a small refrigerator and cabinet space. They have a fishing trip planned for people who want to go fishing. They have a trip planned to a store a lot of the older folks would like to go visit. They're going to have a watermelon cutting. I think they have people coming in to sing different types of things. The other day when I went down, they had pets and dogs. People could gather around in their little sitting area, and they could pet the animals. They have a walkway outside where you can go in and walk around. They have a lot of chairs in the front and the back where they can sit outside. They have a library. They have a pool table, and they have something called "horse racing;" I'm not sure what that is. They have a beauty shop where the ladies can get their hair cut, or the men, and they have a chapel where they have a couple of services throughout the week.

My Mom moved into the independent living community at Creekside at Shallowford, and it was good. The community is clean and very open. I like that they spend time going over things, and it is a good experience. The room is nice, but it is small. When she moved in, there were bugs, but they've treated that now, so now it seemed to be pretty clean. When she got in there, it was a little dirty, but overall, it wasn't that bad. It was a nice room.

I visited Creekside at Shallowford. The people were very nice. I had concerns with it because not everyone was wearing a mask. There were a lot of people in the dining room area which was a concern because any time you get a lot of people together is a concern right now. The building was older, and it had a temperature setting for the heat, but the air was like a wall unit type thing that you had to turn on, so it was not central heating there. The kitchen itself was very, very small. The refrigerator was only 5-foot high, and it was very small. It was more like a nursing home type thing, and it was not fancy. You would not walk in there and think "Oh, this is beautiful!" It was older, but it was clean and nice.

Creekside at Shallowford was fine. My mother was impressed by it. It's basically set up like a little community. They had a cosmetology area, a library, a game area, and things of that nature that they can stay active with, with other community members. We had lunch there, and it was very good.

Our experience with Creekside at Shallowford was very good. I was very impressed with the place. The independent living and assisted living facilities are all there together. The staff was very friendly, very outgoing, very warm, and welcoming. The dining area was large, but it's very spread out because of the virus. We just did a brief tour. The facility was very nice and very clean. They've got large apartments.

My parents moved to Creekside right before the COVID-19 issues. The associates at Creekside are making the best of a very difficult situation. When meals are brought, the associates are friendly and kind. This means so much as many times these are the only people my dad sees.

My experience at Creekside at Shallowford was very good, and they had an apartment available. They have a common area, a chapel, and they do meals and provide housekeeping. The staff members seemed nice, but I only saw them from a distance, and only talked to the sales guy. They play bingo, do crafts, and they have live entertainment come in. I was very impressed with the facility.

My 92 year old sister moved to Creekside during the summer, from another retirement home where we were not pleased with several things. We have all been very pleased with Creekside. Both residents and staff are very friendly. I visit my sister once a week and usually eat with her and I think the food is good. It is served like a nice restaurant with a choice of beverages, salads, two entrees, and choice of a couple of desserts. This is their noon time meal. They offer many activities but sadly, my sister doesn't feel like doing many things. If a person went there younger, or in better health, the many activities would really be nice, especially those away from their building to things in the community.

Creekside at Shallowford is a wonderful facility. The staff was very caring. Everybody was personable with each other. My mom had a caregiver, and she was exceptional. She occupied a studio apartment. They had all types of activities, even taking them to the grocery stores, the mall. Inside the facility, they have activities on a daily basis. She complained about the food though, but I would still recommend this facility.

Creekside at Shallowford was pretty much the same as another facility. We did not eat there, but it was very good. The staff seemed very professional and caring. Homey would be a good word to describe the rooms. Everything was great.

The only thing that I did not like at Creekside is the fact that there’s two levels and she would have to get the elevator. Everybody was wonderful there as well as the rooms. The eating area was really nice; it was downstairs as well as the common area. They have group nights where they do different activities.

I stayed one night at Creekside. I would say it was really a nice place. The staff was friendly and really helpful in everything that I had to ask them. The residents that I had talked to and ate meals with were nice and really friendly. The food was good, and the dining room service was good also.

I went to visit Creekside at Shallowford. It was wonderful. I like it better than any place I visited, but it did not meet my needs of assisted living since it was independent living. The staff was great. They called me several times since I visited and invited me to come back. The rooms were very good. They were clean, and some had balconies. I had lunch there, and it was great.

Creekside was a very nice place, and the facilities were outstanding. They have very nice and outstanding people. The food was good, although I’m not a big eater, and the dining area was good. They have one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments. The apartments are very spacious, clean, and outstanding.
