Assisted Living Communities in Fort Oglethorpe, GA

"About three months ago, I put mom in Regency House, and so far, the experience has been very good. I chose it because of its location and cost. They have a small exercise room. I haven't tried the food, but Mom always has positive comments. The staff is fine. "

"Signal Mountain Senior Living was a very nice place. The people were very nice. It was a better price than what I'm paying now, so I like that. They were very helpful and assisted me around to show me their facility, and I appreciated their time. They have one-bedroom apartments and studios. They also have a mental health care facility included in that facility, and independent living also at that place. They give you a couple of hours for each meal. You have time, and people go in as they want to dine, and it looks like a nice room. They have different activities. They have bingo. They have a nice-looking rehab facility. They take people out on trips a couple of times a week, to doctors' appointments, and things like that. For a tour, they're very nice, knowledgeable, and seemed very helpful. I have no complaints about that. As far as care and all that, I won't know that until my mom actually moves in."

"My mother has been a resident here for several months now. She is able to have her own space while enjoying all the facilities opportunities to socialize. We are thankful for staff! "

"I went here. They had a circular floor plan with a courtyard in the middle. Some of the room configurations were weird. We looked at a one-bedroom, which had a separate living space. The separate living room area was very small and it didn't have a window by where it was placed, so it seemed very dark. That's the only one we saw that was like that. The others weren't like that. We looked at both studios and one-bedrooms. Mom ran into a friend of hers and we ended up sitting in that lady's apartment talking for a long time after the tour. Nothing stood out in particular and Mom wasn't as drawn to here as she was to the other place and so I just sort of dismissed it in my mind. The staff was very nice. They had some kind of activity that we watched for a minute that was kind of fun. They had lined up the seniors across from each other in chairs. They were sword fighting with plastic pool noodles swinging them around in the air."

"My aunt is in Pleasant Valley Personal Care. She has 24/7 care and they prepare all her meals, help her with her daily routine and everything. They give her her medicine and make sure she's OK. They're very helpful, very friendly, they're always there to check on her all the time. It's very clean there. They don't have any activities going on right now because of COVID. So far, she's been very pleased with the meals."

"My mother was at Dalton Square for three months. We were well satisfied with them. My mother didn't want to mingle a whole lot, but they had activities all the time for those people. The food was excellent. The staff was excellent, too. My mother was very happy there and we were happy with them. My mom had an apartment with a bedroom, a nice walk-in bathroom and shower, a little kitchenette, and a little living room area. So that was very, very nice. They also had activities going on all the time."

"My friend moved into The Rosewood at Fort Oglethorpe. Her son chose it because it's close. It seems that all the people working there are very kind and sweet. Also, it looks very clean. My friend is very happy there and happier than I've seen him in years. The food looks good and smells good. His room is not very big. He has a bed, a dresser, a TV, a room for a chair, and a little kitchenette area. They do have a courtyard, which is pretty and well-kept."

"I have visited The Canopy at Boynton Ridge. I saw their shared room, it looked nice, and the bathroom and shower were nice and more handicap-accessible. In their memory care, there seemed to be more room to move around. It's an open area and people were out of their rooms. The person who gave me the tour was very friendly. I was very impressed with the facility itself. There was a nice outdoor place, they're up on a hill so there's a nice view, they had a putting green, gazebo, and benches. It was pretty nice."

"My mother is in Life Care Center Of East Ridge and they're wonderful. They keep her room very clean, and the people there were very nice and accommodating. We've never had any problems with them. The food is average, but it always is since they're budgeted. They had continuing physical therapy that my mom was in three times a day. The cost is covered by insurance. The dining area and the whole place has waterfalls and stained glass ceilings. It's like staying at a 5-star hotel. My mother loves the therapists, who are wonderful."

"East Ridge is a converted hotel that is set up really wel and only had two floorsl. There is a nice-sized lobby and a front desk with people there to help you right away. You can see the dining room from there, so it is a good place to sit and people watch. Everybody was very friendly that we dealt with. The person who gave us the tour was the activities director, so she told us of the many things that they do, like cards and bingo. Dinner was being served, and they had a really nice, long salad bar set up and soup. There was a variety of choices for each meal, so it was nice that there were options for each meal. "

"My mom is staying at the Senior Saints Home. I loved everything about it. The only reason we started looking was that they had been up on the price, and that's just a burden on the family because it's more than her check. It's a beautiful home. It's just like everybody's family. They have shared rooms. It looks like a bedroom. It's got two beds, and it's very nicely done. And then they have a single room. They also have a room with two double beds for a couple or something. I would recommend them. It's very nice. It's the greatest home setting you'll ever find. The staff are very caring and loving. I actually have no complaints whatsoever. The food looks like a good nutritional meal. My mom builds puzzles on the coffee table. She's got her traveling books and stuff. They can do what they want to do, but as far as coming together as a group and playing bingo or exercising, they don't really offer that."

"We toured Morning Pointe at Happy Valley. They were very nice. They were roomy and they had the sink and the refrigerator. We looked at the studio room, the bed, and the nice big bath and closet. It's brand new. It just opened last year. The staff was very nice and very helpful. My mother is from that area so she would have loved it if we could have worked on the budget."

The staff is alert and attentive and the residents are clean and bright. The food is amazing and you can tell there is a lot of care and kindness that goes into the food. There are memory activities for keeping the mind alert and to help them feel less lost. There are outings to shopping malls and to the parks but because of the memory issues they do not venture far from home to keep them feeling safe and secure. The rooms are large and very clean. The home is nicely decorated and there is a warm cozy feeling here. I would place my loved one here. "My parents moved to Rockbridge Oaks. They serve a certain menu every day, but if you don't like it, you can choose from other things, and everything I've tasted there has been excellent. The rooms are nice. They were freshly painted and have a nice kitchenette area with a medium-sized refrigerator. The air conditioning units are high, like above the windows, so they're not blocking the walls. It's got a nice big bathroom with a shower. Everything is nice about the room. The staff had been great. Everyone's been very pleasant. They have in-house activities like bingo, trivia, name that song, art things, and trips to a restaurant, a grocery store, or different places. My parents have not participated in any of that yet because they are just getting adjusted. The value for the money is pretty average from the various facilities I visited. It's maybe a little cheaper than some."
