"PruittHealth was good, but the therapy department was the best. Half of the nursing staff was not good at all. Some of the food was not great. Some you wouldn't think go together. They would put anything randomly together. They only had one dining room, and only 60 patients could go into it out of 120 people. They had an activities department, which were good too. They had bingo, coloring, spa days, movie day, and dancing. They try to get the residents to have fun. "

It was very, very good in some areas of the facility, although we found another area that didn't seem quite as good, but overall we were very pleased with it. It's a place that I would like go if I needed to go to a nursing home. It was very clean. I had no complaints about that at all. The staff was very pleasant. They had a dining room for those who were able to go, and it was really, really good food, and the dining room was beautiful. My sister lived there for about five years, and she got very good care. It is a facility anyone could benefit from if they needed that kind of care. Most of the staff seemed to be very caring, very attentive, and very good to her. "

"I liked Life Care Center. They had a very good and responsible staff and had everything necessary for senior citizens to adapt to a life away from home. They had an ice cream shop, barber shop, and all sorts of facilities for physical therapy and doctors. It’s not too big or too small and is a very well-organized system for move her up in. The environment is very calm and most of all, the physical therapist was very good with the patients. "

"Alexian Village Of Tennessee is the best one I've seen. I have friends who live there. I've been to their independent living dinner a couple of times and I've toured the assisted living. I like the professional treatment of everyone, collegial but professional. Nobody called me honey, deary, or sweetie for once, and they had very good food. It was as good as you get in some restaurants in Chattanooga. The facility is lovely. Some of the units have great views. It's clean and well-appointed. It has lots of high ceilings. It's much less institutional-looking than most of the places. It almost looks like a resort. They have an activity director, they have a jazz night, they have ice cream, and they go on shopping trips twice a week. It's where I'll end up going when I need to go to one myself because they offer a lot of activities. It's expensive. It's almost double the price of most places in the area. It's for more refined taste and that's where all our friends go. If you have money, that's where you go in Chattanooga. It's the best of the ones available. People have to buy their units there unless they're moving into assisted living. You get part of it back depending on how long you've lived there. They always refurbish it before people move in and you get to choose your colors and your flooring and it's quite lovely. My friend is really happy. She's just been there for about four months now and she's had no trouble whatsoever with anybody, and she has loved being able to choose her own paint color and everything being done to her taste. It had two pools, one heated and one not."

"I went to look at The Garden Plaza at Cleveland. What I like best about the place is the architecture. It's beautiful. There is nothing there that I don't like. It's a very nice facility. It goes from assisted living to independent living, but they do not have a memory care section. I have tasted their food, and it was very well prepared. They have a swimming pool. It's near restaurants, shopping centers, and main roads, so it's easily accessible."

"My mom is the third family member we have had in Quinton Memorial, and we have loved it every time. They always take great care to call us with changes to her health or health plan. They have multiple meetings as to ensure everything is up to the expectations of family members. Mom has dementia, so at times she is difficult. For example, when she refused to wear her false teeth, the staff saw to it that she was able to eat all she wanted by grinding up her food to small pieces and providing extra water and fluids to aid in digestion. When dad was dying, they would sit by his bed and feed him when we were not there. They even cried with us when he crossed over. My grandfather was especially difficult, but they always treated him with great respect even though they did not get it. He was rude and tried to push them and slap at them. They never let on any emotion but compassion. "
