My grandmother had been discharged from other nursing facility with only two days notice. Not to mention she is 94 years old and not well. Most Nursing Facilitys have a waiting list and no availability. My friend who is a nurse practitioner recommended Golden Living in Phoenixville. Upon my grandmothers arrival i met with the D.O.N. Michelle, she really helped me to sort out Grandmas paperwork and appointments. Assistant D.O.N Pat provided transportation services. She was always kind with my many questions. The nursing staff Scott, John, Alexis were very effective. They truly care deeply about their patient's. Donna the office coordinator was extremely helpful. Grandma had nothing but kinds words to say about the nursing team. Grandma, enjoyed the food and her room was spacious and clean. I give 5 stars to these hard working and dedicated staff.

My mom is currently in a nursing home at Golden Living. She's been there for about a month now. It was one of the choices my mom wanted. It's hard to describe the facility and her current situation at this nursing home. I guess because she was at the rehab part of it at first. They weren't just as attentive as they should be. With regards to the treatment with her by the staff, I'm going to say just kind of okay. Although the staff was not very informative and I had to ask first. They don't give me information unless I asked. The other thing is that they don't give attention to their patient's needs. I must say they are not professional enough with what they are doing.

I think that this is a fairly good assisted living provider. It is a small facility and they have been trying to increase the number of residents by doubling up in the rooms. Unfortunately the rooms seem much too small for multiple residents. The main problem is the high price for what you are getting, especially if you share a room. I would imagine that due to the small size it would be hard to get any privacy with out your own space. They also seem short staffed with usually only one person working at a time. The staff does seem friendly though and like they truly care about the residents. If more staff was hired it would make it a better facility and worth the prices. Another benefit to this place is the location. It is next to a nursing home and less than a block away from the local hospital so emergencies can be dealt with quickly.

IF there was a ZERO star I would use that in this review. To me it is clear they are short staffed, and the staff shows resentment. Thus, this leads to much negligence. Discomfort and distrust sits within the majority of residents and family members for what all takes place in a day and nite at this facility. I have experence of people asking for help, putting on their lights, and seeing them just sit and wait with no one coming to assist. To hear people cry, or scream "someone please help me".....rips out the heart. I can sum this up simply by saying "Stay away", this is not where you or a loved one wants to be.
