"I came to St. Mary's for the rehab. The physical therapy department has been wonderful and the nursing staff has also been excellent. I am so happy I was able to come here. I am beyond thankful to the staff for their care and compassion. God Bless the staff at St. Mary's Center. "

"My mother has been a resident in the assisted living side of this home for about 2 years. She recently had a fall, and I was notified within 30 minutes! They took her to the ER via Ambulance, and I got calls from Riverview, the EMTs during transport and then from the hospital. She is back now in the rehab side of the home, and is being treated carefully and kindly. The nursing staff is excellent, they all seem to love their work and their clients. I have gotten all concerns addressed ASAP. The location is wonderful, right on the banks of the Delaware River. I live in another state (Mom's choice not to move out of her area, where she has lived since 1955) and there are 4 basic but clean and quiet guest rooms, for only $30.00 a night. This makes my visits with mom less stressful for me, and I'm able to participate in all her activities and dine with her (for a very small fee). I would highly recommend Riverview Estates. "

"We looked at Wesley Enhanced Living at Stapeley. The tour was excellent. We had dinner there with some residents, and we liked it. The staff who gave the tour was extremely knowledgeable about the facility. The apartments looked appropriately spacious. The dining area was attractive, and the food was tasty. The facility seemed well maintained."

"I toured the Philadelphia Protestant Home. They are very organized. They had a lot of amenities, and it was a very clean and efficient place. The people were excellent. They showed professionalism and were very detail-oriented. They gave me scenarios and pictures of different living instances that I could choose from. The facility was top-notch. They had a model apartment set up to show me. They had different layouts and showed me each one, and they were very detailed in design. The apartments were of different sizes. The one they showed me was a smaller size, but it was very efficient. They allow you to select your own colors and stuff."

"I toured The Quadrangle. It wasn't bad. There was a little bit more care taken as far as the rooms in the dementia part. It still wasn't up to par to where the regular ones are, but I didn't really have a problem with that at all. Overall, it was better than the ones that I previously went to. I liked the rooms. They were better, so I was OK with that. They had great activities for the residents there, so that was pleasing. I really didn't have a lot of time to spend there. I quickly went there during my lunch hour, but they were playing some kind of bingo. The atmosphere there was great, so I was happy with that."

"Deer Meadows is beautiful, and my mother-in-law seems to like it. The price is right for what she wanted. She has an efficiency 1-bedroom with a bath and a little tiny sitting room. They appeared to be fine and had a lot of activities like ceramics and Bingo, you could have animals there, you could have parking if you have a car, and the dining rooms were lit and beautiful. "

"My sister likes Wesley Enhanced Living Pennypack Park very much. There are several things that we liked about it. The people that were there, Claire as well as Martha, were professional. They took their time and explained the process and what they had at the facility and what the options might very well be. After understanding what we needed and wanted, they took us on a tour of the property. As they took us through, Martha showed us exactly what was available and it was exactly as they had described it in the discussion before taking us on the tour. We were very pleased with the apartment and the amenities. We had an opportunity to take a look at the gardens. We're very familiar with Philadelphia and The Wesley Enhanced Living facility takes you away from the typical understanding of what an urban environment is. It's a respite, quiet place, suitable for senior citizens and safe in a very urban area. They had the shopping and the ability to go to two different supermarkets and come back home with transportation provided. We had an opportunity to take a look at the menu and it was more than ample and sufficient. The garden was absolutely beautiful. My sister, who is not comfortable in an urban setting liked it very much, felt very comfortable, and hoped that we could work out the finances that she could be there. Her husband is currently in a nursing home and there are provisions that once we get her in, there is the possibility that he could come over there also and they take Medicaid. That's another thing that was very interesting and acceptable. She would be independent and should she need assistance or personal care, those facilities are there also. They explained how the rates would change as one would go from one to the other. We were not able to taste a meal while we were there. However, we did have an opportunity to see all of the available amenities and some of the people were participating as the gym was being opened up. We saw the area for religious services, the grill, the dining room, and the gardens, pretty much everything that they had there. The bedrooms were more than ample, spacious, and well lit, with more than enough room, and the bathrooms seemed to be secure with bars, etc. I thought the living quarters were fine and very comfortable."

"I went to Juniper Village at Bucks County and I was greeted properly. They've got very nice people. The place was clean. They showed us several apartments, several of the crafts that they were doing, the restaurant, and the menu. Everything was great. They have studios, one bedrooms, and two bedrooms. The staff during the tour was very nice. They have a church on the premises. The buy-in was cheap. We tried to set up several luncheons, but we weren't able to do that."

"I visited St. Mary Center. The few staff that I saw were great and they were interacting with the residents. The lady I talked to knew the people by names which is nice, when she talked to them and went by. Even though she's not hands on, she still made the effort to know them by name, which I think was very nice. She gave me a quick tour of an interior room. It was empty, but it was neat, well-placed, nothing looks bad, looked better than my room, my bedroom. Everything looked very clean well-kept. They had a barbershop I believe, a cafeteria, and they did have an outdoor sitting area. People could go out and sit out there, it was all secure. They couldn't just get up and wander off into the road, or anything like that. And they did have a lot of stuff scheduled, there was a gardening to help out with, and they had different little sectional area. It wasn't just 1 giant rec room. They have 1 large room, but they had a smaller one around. So, they did have multiple things going on. I liked the way it was laid out. It was pretty much like a giant square, they do have people who like to wander, and they can actually just kind of look around the halls, they didn't really have to worry about them getting in trouble, wandering off anywhere because it's pretty much centrally located."

"Spring Hills Post Acute is bright and beautiful and designed to assist elderly individuals recover while enjoying their stay. While other centers do not allow family to stay with the patients, this administration welcomed family members. The private suites had pull out sofa beds in the rooms for convenience. The food served at the Bistro was average but one could choose a made to order meal from a daily menu. The staff went above and beyond in providing me with exemplary care namely: CRNP Kelly, PT Stefan and Jester, RNs: Sister D. and Charlene, Concierge Annalynn, Aides: Kenny and Crystal, Activity: Mia, Tiffany, Vaughn, Bistro/kitchen: Hosefeena, Housekeeping: Kim et al. Dean from Administration was Top Notch in handling our medical concerns with prompt and efficient care.. Because of the outstanding staff, wonderful activities, immaculately clean and bright environment, excellent physical, occupational, speech therapy, and many amenities which all lead to wellness in life, I highly recommend this place!"

"My mom is being well taken care of at ProMedica Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation. She gets bathed every day, she gets her meals, and she has help when she needs it. She has to be fed now so I've helped her eat and her food is very good. They do physical therapy and all but she can't participate in anything so I don't know much about their activities. They do have them but she has macular degeneration, so she can't see well and couldn't go play bingo or anything like that. She's been there about two and a half months."

"We chose Shady Lane because it is a nursing home and for the kind of care that my grandmother needed, that was a top priority for us. Also the location was within 5 miles from my home, so it ended up working out for us. My grandmother did well there. She did very well. It was close to her, so knowing that the staff there was local, she did know some people there. They were the staff who knew her from growing up, so it made it a lot easier for her. Overall, we couldn't have been happier with it. They do so many activities with them all the time, all day long. They make sure no matter they would pull her out of her room and say, "you're coming." They have a singer come in a couple of times a week. They take her down to the salon; they get her hair and nail done. They make it as comfortable and as homey as possible. It works out for my grandmother; they are really, really good. "

"United Methodist was clean. The marketing specialist I met with was very polite. Everybody is tenured; they’ve been there a while. It was nice and has a lot of items available. We saw the studio apartments, and it was very nice. I saw a model studio, and it was very nice, repainted, and refreshed. They have a queen size bed, a dresser, and two chairs, but my mom isn’t qualified because she doesn’t have money. I liked the place, but I don’t like the follow up. They told me that they will call back. They have an in-house salon, and a little snack bar area, which I actually thought was pretty nice. They have an actual rehab -- which I thought beneficial because a lot of people as they age go to rehab. "

"The last place where my friend was until he went back to the hospital was Laurel Manor. It was pretty nice. They kept the patients engaged in games, and they were well aware of who they were and what their problems were. The place was very clean and did not smell. It didn't even smell like a hospital. The staff seemed to be very friendly. "

"I was a resident of ProMedica Total Rehab+. It looked good. I spent a lot of time in a wheelchair, so I had ample room to maneuver, you could say it's spacious. I wasn't pleased with the meal plan, and I needed some help. There wasn't enough food to eat, and the cuisine was sometimes lacking. But the staff was friendly enough and engaging. The physical rehab staff was competent, professional, and friendly. The rooms were well-maintained and cleaned regularly. I stayed in both private and shared while I was there. Some had refrigerators and some did not; the shared rooms did not have a refrigerator, but the private room did. The private room had a sink and hot and cold running water. The shared rooms did not have sinks, they did have a bathroom that had a sink in the bathroom. I've seen two types of private rooms, one that did have a kitchen sink, and the other did not. The meal plan needed some serious help. The portions were inadequate, and the quality of the food was questionable from time to time. They clean the rooms, the halls, and common areas, daily. They have therapy rooms. I actually stayed there a few years ago, and at that time they had a café, and you would go there for meals in a more social environment. That was very nice, but because of COVID, they shut down that shared dining experience, and we had meals delivered to our rooms. So, the dining experience is not as good as when it was in the cafe."
