"There are some things that I'm looking for at Woodbury Mews and other things that I do not want. That's why I'm deliberating all the places that I have seen. The rooms were good. What the person who took us around showed us was very nicely kept. Everything is neatly done. They have a lot of amenities and that's fine, but there were other things that I was still looking for. We were invited to lunch and I have a restricted diet, so I have to be careful of what I eat because I have a lot of allergies, and I just don't think they provided a real good option for me. The lady was very helpful and very informative. She was great."

"The staff at Brookdale Echelon Lake was very friendly (you don't get that in a lot of places). They were very gentle with my grandmother, very caring, and very nice. The rooms look like hotel rooms, like a 200 square-foot hotel room. The facility was fairly clean. The food is table service where you walk up, you sit at your table, and then they'll take your order. The dining area looked clean and organized. It was like a mini restaurant."

"Spring Hills was fantastic, except for the community fee. It was the nicest place I saw, so far. It was very classy, very beautiful, and clean, and had a hotel feel to it. It had a nice ice cream parlor. It was really big, so I think it was more suited for independent people or people who can get around. There were stairs when you first come in and marble floors, so it was beautiful. It wasn’t a good fit for my father because of the layout. "

"Our father has been a resident at Arden Courts of Cherry Hill for five months now. From the start, we have been very impressed with the care and compassion shown to him and to our family. Having a loved one in a memory care facility is emotional for family members. The staff at Arden has been so patient and does a wonderful job explaining things to us and making us feel that it is the right decision and he is getting truly the best professional care. But most importantly, when we visit or FaceTime with our father, we see that he is very content and most importantly happy. Fast forward until March and we landed in the unthinkable situation with COVID-19, the staff at Arden has worked so diligently to providing a safe environment while paying close attention to our need to be able to communicate by video chats and feel confident he is okay. Arden's communication to family members via weekly zoom's to give updates and plans in place are so reassuring. While at the same time they demonstrate by showing us that life goes on with our loved ones and the quality of care has remained at a consistently high level. We are very grateful we found Arden! "

"I toured Fountain View at Logan Square. The community was beautiful. My brother loved it. We loved the atmosphere, the restaurants, the library, the entrance, and how well they treated us when we came there. Even the guy that gave us the tour guide was wonderful. The nurse who came and did his assessment was very pleasant and very kind. However, we were not able to afford it. I thought that we would be able to get the room because I was going to financially help him. However, the money had to be in his account, so he was denied because he didn't have enough income coming in. The staff was wonderful with the tour, but when he set us up for the medical doctor, he gave the impression that my brother could get the studio because it was cheaper, and then by the time we came back, he told me the studio was $4,600. The upkeep was very nice, except they were still under construction, so it was a little messy. However, the rooms I saw that were already ready were very nice."

"I love Chestnut Ridge, and it is where my father is currently is now. I love the staff and the way they communicate. It is just so wonderful. It's a high-rise building, and the rooms are nice, but the bottom line with everything is the staff. They do have activities, and my dad participates in some of them."

"It's been 90% positive, so it's been good. My parents are in the assisted living right now. It's not too clinical, and they have lots of activities. The staff is friendly. Their room is really good and big enough to get my parents' king bed in the bedroom, which is what they wanted. The room is perfect and one of the things that sold us on the place. My parents say the food is somewhat institutional but very adequate. My mom partakes in some of the exercise classes. They try to get my dad to get out and join but don't pressure him too much."

"I went to look at Spring Oak Assisted Living of Vineland. The management was very excellent in presenting the place. I would rate it excellent. It was very nice. It is a two-bedroom that I looked at. The staff showed me a couple of others as well, but I was more interested in the two-bedroom apartment. It was excellent. They had a room where they play games. The other thing I really enjoyed was the group where they shared different projects they were working on, such as puzzles. My wife likes that kind of stuff. It was very, very accommodating for the activities. The staff also told me about the trips they would take for different shows, different areas, and different locations. I met some of the staff, and they were very helpful and polite. They were glad to see me, I guess. They were all smiling and happy. It was a friendly atmosphere. They showed me the cafeteria, which was nice as well. You could pretty much have the type of food you want. They're very accommodating in that area as well, so I liked that setup. It was what we were looking for because everything was on one floor. Everything was accessible."

"Our family member was a resident in the memory care unit at Rose Tree Place for over a year. We were impressed from our first visit by the friendliness and caring of the staff-starting with a call to Mike, a greeting at the reception desk and a tour of the unit. After he became a resident some changes were made in the nursing staff and things just got better. Lines of communication (so important) were always open. Medications were altered to ensure his safety and well being. The facility was always bright and clean, his room was clean and his person was clean. He loved the food! The support we received when he passed was heartwarming but not surprising as the staff is 100% about their residents. "

"My mother-in-law is in Merion Gardens, and we are very happy. Whenever we are there, the staff is very helpful and friendly. The rooms are very nice. The one that she is in right now is very nice and very spacious. I know they have things available to do. She likes that the library is right across the hall from her room. She likes to read, so she likes the access that she has to the books there. I have not eaten there, but my mother-in-law has not complained about the food. The dining room is quite clean and has a nice appearance. "
