"I toured many facilities before I choose Terraces for my husband. The care he received and the kindness of all of the staff exceeded my expectations. Everyone - the Administrator, Lori, the nurses, aides, Activities Director, maintenance person, ladies at the front desk - all were so thoughtful and helpful. I believe that my husband got excellent care and when he went on Hospice and was going through his last days, the staff could not have been kinder or more accommodating. I highly recommend Terraces!!"

"I liked Summit Place very much. It was a smaller community, but it's not going to be the one for us. It has no gym and nowhere for my husband to continue his therapy. They would have outside therapists come in, but they wouldn't have anybody in-house. It had mini-fridges, which would have been plenty for him. They're giving you three meals downstairs, and Lisa was wonderful. We looked at menus. It had the little square breakfast, lunch, and dinner for the week that you can pick. There were two choices of breakfast, two choices of lunch, and two choices of dinner. They offered soup every lunch. He liked soup for lunch, so that was a plus for him. It's a very nice facility. It's not as elegant as the other facility, but it was a very homey place and had nice, wide hallways. They didn't have a giant dining room. They had a smaller room for other things, such as game time and dining. I think they had 40, not even 39 rooms, maybe. A lot of the people there, one of them was 103 years old, and a lot of people there have been there for a very long time. Their children even end up going there."

"I went to look at Brookdale Echelon Lake. I liked that my sister would have her own room and a little bathroom. She will sit at a dining table and gets to choose what she wants to eat. It has a better atmosphere. She doesn't sit in her room all day. She can move around. It's on the first floor. They provide assistance. They have nurses. The staff members were all very nice. It seems like there is a pleasant and quiet atmosphere there. The facility was clean. It's set up on a lake, which is nice. You could go outside. It seemed to be organized. It's a secured building. You can't just walk in."

"My mom moved into Tylers Mill Senior Living. I like it because it's more of a smaller type of facility with a lot of continued interaction with the other residents. The care and services have been great. The staff members were friendly. They have planned activities to keep them involved and engaged."

"A friend of mine is a resident of Brookdale Evesham, so I go there every other week. We also toured the assisted living for my brother-in-law. It's very clean and they do lots of various things. Every day they have all kinds of activities. They interact so that the residents aren't alone in their rooms. Even if they're non-cognitive, they want them to be at least out in the public area so that they can see other people, and it's not like they're in senior jail. The staff members have been very nice when I go up at the front. The various different ones at the front desk don't know my name, but when they see my face, we say our hellos. They don't want guests coming into the dining room when the residents are in for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. If the residents are having some family members over, they have a separate little side room that they let them go and sit in if they want privacy. There's only so much seating, and they can have it for maybe two hours. My brother-in-law is still doing his own things, like his pills and showers, but they have people there who would come to help if he needs it. They also said that if you need more care and go from independent to assisted, you don't have to be moved to another wing or to another floor. You could still be in that room, and they would have it set up so that they would come to you, which is also very nice."

"We toured Woodbury Mews. Jerry was very courteous. We had lunch there. The food was excellent. The food was outstanding if that was something that you were looking for. The facilities were a little bit older, but everything had been upgraded in the unit. One thing that we didn't like was that they didn't have any balconies, verandas or patios, so that was negative for us. The units were smaller, with no kitchen, just a kitchenette. But they had a theatre, a huge craft area, and a very active activities program. The staff we met were all very friendly and accommodating."

"My mom has been a resident for three years now, and I couldn’t be happier! First, the rooms are beautiful, clean, and very spacious. Maintenance does a wonderful job daily, of coming in and keeping the rooms clean, and waste bins emptied. The residents have access to a Beautiful lounge, movie theater, exercise area, TV area, art area, etc. Each room is beautifully decorated, and clean. Now I would like to talk about the staff. There’s always someone at the front desk as you walk in, who is always there to help you with any needs or questions you have. The aids are very dedicated to their job, and work very hard. I have seen them with patience, kindness, and caring, on a daily basis. ( and I am there frequently). The nurses go above and beyond, and are always quick to answer any question, or any need you have. Everyone there is very compassionate, caring, and professional! I would highly recommend this place to anyone, who is looking to put their parent, or a loved one in a place, to get the care, of being in their own home. I can’t say enough, to express the gratitude, and appreciation, I have for the staff, for treating my mother with dignity and respect, in her senior years"

"We went to Spring Oak Assisted Living of Vineland. It was very nice. The administrator was very informative. And, it does offer quite a bit of what they do. But we need a nursing home and they didn't meet that need, so that's why we did not choose them. The amenities were very nice. The wash areas where you would either have them wash your clothes or you could wash them yourself were very nice. Just every part of the facility was very well-kept and very nice. The eating areas were certainly like a community. Nobody was sitting alone. It was very engaging. It seemed to be very good in engagement with the people living there, the patients, and just very nice. It made your heart feel warm that they seemed to care. The admissions administrator did a fantastic job."

"My mom will move into CareOne at Evesham. The facility was clean and modern. The rooms were a good size. The director was very personable to residents there, knew everyone's name, and greeted everyone as we walked around the facility. CareOne is very good at communication."

"HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY BRUNCH HERE AT CAMBRIDGE. SUCH A SWEET AFFAIR. EVERYONE HERE IS SO CARING. YOU CAN SEE IT IN THE WAY INTERACT WITH THE REDIDENTS. I SO VERY MUCH APPRECIATE EVERYTHING THEY DO FOR MY MOM!"

"We toured Atria Center City. When I walked in it was very clean, and the people were very nice. I was introduced to someone who would show us around. It was me and my aide. He took us all over the place. It's a large place, and everything is nice and beautiful. They told me that if I got a place there my sister would be on the third floor. They had two units, and one was very large. They had a bed there. The only thing that was missing in that unit was a chair. It had a microwave, cooking stove, refrigerator, and lots of closet space. The other room was smaller, but higher than the one I chose for my sister. He said it was seven hundred and seven a month, but the one that I chose for my sister was four something a month, but due to the fact that my sister needs special care, that would be an extra three thousand, he said, and I couldn't afford it."

"I liked everything about Fountain View at Logan Square. The location was fantastic. They have a parking garage. The rooms were a nice size. They had a washer and dryer in the room. The rent was a little expensive, but the facilities were nice and clean. The person who took us around was wonderful. He knew his business. A couple of the other people we met were very good. I liked Fountain View. The food looked very appetizing. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and they seemed to know the people that they passed in the hallway. They were friendly, and they knew about other facilities. They tell you, "You should try this one," or "Did you go there?" The atmosphere was very nice. Some of the residents I saw knew each other."

"CareOne at Moorestown was extremely nice. We had a nice tour. I thought they had a lot of things going for it. I was seriously considering them, but my father passed away, so it wasn’t necessary to continue my search. It had nice grounds, and they seemed to take care the different levels of people. We got a tour of many of their rooms, and we had a very good experience and a good feel about it. I think they had a lot of programs for the people, and I think they had a lot of things to offer. I thought they were one of the better ones we had seen. "
