"My sister was at Caretel Inns of Brighton for rehab. It was after surgery. She was there for two weeks. She went to physical therapy every day, and they helped her get back on her feet. I visited the place while she was there. She seemed to be happy there, and she seemed to be pleased with the care she got. It was clean, and it seemed fine. I know that they have permanent senior citizen apartments on the lower level. My sister said she had been down there, and she said they were very pretty and very lovely. They're quite expensive, but they are very nice. The staff was very pleasant and very helpful. The first time I went there, I had a hard time finding my way around because it's kind of a big circle; it is kind of complicated. Other than that, they helped me. It's fine. It's clean, and it's nicely decorated. It's all on one floor, and it's nice. My sister said food was OK. It wasn't bad, but she would rather be home. She complained a lot that she wants to go home and do her own cooking in her own home, which is all normal."

"I've been in Novi Lakes Health Campus for quite some time. It's good. It's not perfect, but none of them are. The staff is pretty good. Some of them are better than others. There are more skilled people in rehab to take care of you, whereas the people in assisted living are unskilled. The room is fine. What I'm in now is assisted living, and it's got a smaller refrigerator, big enough to hold quite a little bit, a small microwave, and a separate little kitchen sink. It's just one giant room except for the bathroom. The bathroom is a good size and the shower is nice with tile and everything. The rooms were maybe just a little bit smaller in rehab. They have different rooms for what you want to spend or what you can afford, financially. Insurance isn't going to pay for a suite, and the only difference I see is that a big TV is mounted on the wall. They do a good job with the activities. There's a lot of courtyard area here where they're growing flowers and stuff, where you could go out in a wheelchair or a walker. There are rocking chairs and regular seats on the different porches. You have access to go outside and the staff will take you and wheel you out if you're in a wheelchair. There's a large window in all the rooms that you can see out and see what's going on a little bit. The room is equipped with a recliner chair. They have games in here. They have something going on every other day, like bingo and volleyball where you have fly swatters that are like hands, and then they put a net up in this activity room, then you just hit this balloon back and forth over the net, which is good exercise. They'll help you with activities basically from the waist up. They have what they call a Wine Down Wednesday, and you can go down there and it's just like a social thing. If you want something to drink they've got wine and some alcohol. They offer soft drinks or something. They do a lot of things here and I'm really surprised. They have little events. They feed you and they give you your medicine, but you have to be your own advocate with a lot of things. If they have dementia or Alzheimer's, they don't belong in here. I've been in rehab twice in here, and assisted living twice in here. It's been all the same facility."

"This is very old facility no phones in the rooms. The staff sounds nice and when THEY want to can be helpful but if it’s a bad day for them and they decide that you have called to much, because your love one is having some problems, then they conveniently don’t answer the phone. When you do get someone on they phone you may or may not speak to your family members nurse. Something so simple as to speak to your 79 year old father who, in my minds eye may be in distress, becomes a problem. I tried several times and for several hours to HAVE to tell the staff nurse that if they don’t put my father on the phone right now I had only one last option and that was to call the police and 911. That is now desperate I got. All I wanted to do was hear my father’s voice! Why all this resistance was very concerning that is why I said what I said about the police and 911. After my 5 hour ordeal once I heard my father’s voice and could hear from him he was ok, I was fine. Was that really to much to ask for? REALLY! The “SECOND” floor nursing needed to GREATLY improve!"

"It has been a little more than 1 year since my mother in law (MIL) stayed here. When we first arrived, it was not where she wanted to be. I read through the reviews and see that most people who post, do so to complain. Being my first experience with this step in life, my advice to all is, DO NOT EXPECT the care to be that of a hospital. Things move a bit slower as you should expect. This is an OUTSTANDING rehab center with the same goals that we have. Get the patient back home. My MIL ended up being here close to 3 months. In this time, I had the pleasure of being by her side a lot. The staff became her friends. There are many that stick out in my head but all deserve a huge praise because they are a team. It really does take a special breed of people to offer this kind of care and I can't thank Danto's enough. Sure, I could complain about the food, or the fact that it took too long to get assistance to get my MIL to the restroom or.... These are all part of the situation. It is rehab where the staff to patient ratio is not that of a hospital. My MIL was on a Renal diet, that is pretty much YUK food to anyone. Be the support your loved one needs. Not the complainer that stresses your loved one out. I would choose Danto's again and will definitely recommend them all the same. GOD Bless the Danto's staff"

"I am a family member of a resident of White Hall Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. In general, I thought White Hall Nursing Rehabilitation and Nursing Center was an excellent choice for someone who is looking for an excellent placement for a friend or family member. White Hall Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is beautiful inside and out with a cozy cul-de-sac appearance. The grounds of the facility are beautiful and wooded in appearance that tends to set off a cozy cul-de-sac look it is so heart warming to see. The common areas of the facility are in a very beautiful wooded like area and the beauty of the trees and landscape is just simply breath taking. The surrounding neighborhood is also that of a cul-de-sac appearance as well. The residents' rooms are beautiful and nice and clean and have no smell the residents’ rooms are of beige and earth tone colors that all bend very well together and compliment the facility. The residents rooms are very formal but of a contemporary style living. The residents were all very happy when I visited my grandmother there and they were also interacting with one another also. The staff and management of the facility are very dedicated to the residents, professional, and team, task, oriented in their job duties and performance. I think the residents receive excellent care there. While I was there, I noticed that staff was serving the residents various kinds of snacks as the residents were watching a movie. They were serving the residents juice, coffee, tea, Frito corn chips, potato chips, popcorn, and various other snacks. The residents conveyed to me that they like it there and that the staff there treats them like family. I would have to give White Hall Rehabilitation and Nursing Center a five star rating for their excellence and expertise. Overall, White Hall Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is an excellent choice for placement for someone who is looking for a placement for a friend or a family member that would like to interact with some very nice people. I would recommend it to everyone, anyone or to anyone 50 and over because I know that they would do well there and I know that they would like it there. "

"My mother is at WellBridge of Brighton. We've been there when they served her meals and the food looked really good. It's a very clean facility. She's in a private room. They come in all the time and they make sure it's clean for her because she's got advanced dementia and she doesn't remember to do a lot of things. It's a nice-sized room. It looked brand new when we moved her in there. The entrance of the community and everything is just spotless. The hallways are wide and clean. They have two different places for them to eat if they go out into the cafeterias for their meals. My mother prefers to stay in her room. So, they're very good about making sure they bring her a full course meal on all three meals and the meals looked great. They have a monthly calendar of activities. There are different things to do every day, whether people want to participate or not, and they have fun. It's a good place. I've seen them do bingo and arts and crafts. They have entertainment coming in, and many other activities going on. So, they're not short on that at all. My mother thinks the staff is wonderful. They're all so good and kind. As far as my experience, they have been extremely helpful and always willing to address any questions. They always have good answers. It's a very good team of people. They go in and see her every day and make sure she's OK. Then a registered nurse goes in and checks on her. They've ordered some tests because they want to make sure that everything is updated and that they know they're caring for her properly. They locked up her vitamins and any medications she should have, and they came in and gave it to her on a daily routine. They do an excellent job."

"My father was a long term resident here. The staff was amazing and loved & cared for my dad as if he was their own father. My dad started here as a rehab patient but could not continue rehab due to gout. He then turned to a long term patient - a year and half. Because my dad was bed ridden the staff came in multiple times a day to check in and sit with him. The activities gal stopped by each day with his paper & chatted with him. The speech therapist did the same even he was no longer her patient. The staff here went above and beyond the call of duty! They kept our father alive and with a great quality of life because of their caring and diligence with him. God bless you all and thank you for sharing in our fathers life! We are eternally grateful!!"

"West Bloomfield Health & Rehabilitation Center is topnotch. My mother is getting excellent skilled care with a skilled nurse, physical therapists, and occupational therapists. They have special attention and an individualized diet and menu for her, and they have educated us about that. They customize her dietary plans, which is hard to find, and the food is delivered hot and fresh. Everyone is just pleasant and the place is clean. So, we are very well pleased. She's got a large, private room that has a bed, a nightstand, a dresser, two closets, her own restroom, a large window, a loveseat, and a large lounge chair for visitors. My mother is invited to go over to the long-term care side of the facility, which is just a quick walk down the hallway, and they have a full calendar with movies, bingo, wheelchair bowling, sing alongs, and a Saturday morning stretch. They also publish a menu in advance, so others would know what's going to be served for the whole week. Some of her physical therapy is done in her room, and sometimes she's taken to the physical therapy room where they have weights, bands, steps, and rails. A doctor makes the rounds too. It's just not brand new, but it's contemporary. The hallways are huge, everything is carpeted, and clean."

"The staff of The Manor of Novi was good and the people I interacted were great. I would highly recommend the hospice care. It was fantastic. My brother looked forward to them coming because he could ask them to bring him something and they would bring it. The majority of the nurses had a lot of compassion for him. He was a very difficult person, but they were able to work around him. And that is one of the things that I really liked about them. They would also alert me immediately when he had fallen out of bed. They were always in communication with me on different things. My brother passed, but I cannot thank the Manor of Novi enough for taking care of my him. "

"We liked Star Manor of Northville enough to place our mom there. However, she had some incidents that she had to go to the hospital and now we wanted to bring her back. They had a lovely staff. I was not there during any activities, but I knew they had a list every day by hour of what activities they were going to do. I know they did flower arranging, bingo, and puzzles. The dining area was small, but they did three meals a day. "

"Amy's Place was outstanding in every possible way. It had a very calm atmosphere. The staff was always right there 24/7. It was very clean, exceptionally well-organized and the care was outstanding. When my mother first arrived, she knew she had come to a new place and she was very happy and she liked the people very much. I interviewed 10 different nursing homes and 10 facilities and it was the finest place. "

"We like Medilodge of Farmington. It is closer to me but not close to my brother. However, I liked it the best because the person in charge was very courteous. She went beyond. The rooms were big. The place was very clean. The dining area looked very nice."

"My in-laws are residents of Mission Point of Holly and we liked it. It's a small place and brand-new, they recently rebuilt it. It has 66 beds and only 22 are occupied right now. The staff is friendly and helpful, and they offer activities to the residents."
