I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

we want to share our bad experiences when Vino physical therapist treated our loved ones in your rehab . Some of Vino's style of therapy are; Lack of Follow-Up: he doesn’t address issues we raise about poor posture or discomfort, it shows a lack of commitment to our progress. Ignoring Symptoms: he always overlooks specific pain experiences we describe, they may not be adjusting our treatment to suit our needs. Rigid Protocols: he sticks to a one-size-fits-all approach without considering our unique movement patterns, it suggests they’re not listening to us. Dismissive Attitude: he reacts negatively or brush off our worries, it indicates a disregard for our input and a potential red flag in their practice.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

I wouldn't recommend The Manor of Novi if my dog's fleas needed care. It's a very clean facility. It doesn't smell when you walk in. It is very clean physically. However the social workers are unsympathetic, and the administrative staff has been less than helpful as far as my friend's Medicaid application. I can't move my friend from there because there isn't anywhere else I can take her to at this moment. As for the food, my friend told us it's not usually very good. But she has had positive feedback about the activities. She has two different aides and one nurse that she's been pleased with. But other than that, they don't follow up with us to tell us how she's doing. We are her medical powers of attorney. And I'm seriously considering turning the social worker into LARA. Her comment to my husband and me was as if there was nowhere for my friend to go and if she doesn't get approved for Medicaid, they could release her to a homeless shelter. My friend is 92 years old, and that's what the social worker told us. My friend is supposed to be on Medicaid pending. But because they've been telling us piecemeal what needs to happen for Medicaid pending, it hasn't been done in a timely manner. Now they're saying she may owe them at least three months of care out of pocket. Well, good luck getting it. The woman is applying for Medicaid which means she doesn't have money, let alone $5,000. If they had been timely and told us everything that needed to be done all at once, maybe it would have all been done and she would have her Medicaid by now.

I would highly recommend NOT sending your loved one to this facility. You can't visit without an appointment, OK I get it COVID. They don't answer their phones, took no information when patient was admitted, when we did get to talk to someone contradicted themselves. Their excuse...it's a holiday weekend. RUN AWAY from this place!! We already transferred our family member outta this place!!

I am/was a resident of this facility

never going back. found the nursing assistants to be impatient and mean, not to mention a little rougher than they needed to be. the fact that they had almost all of the help in the dining room at mealtime is definitely a sign they are understaffed. tolerable, but not worth the time spent there. therapy staff very pleasant and helpful. got great therapy while i was there.

I am a friend or relative of resident

Once I got to the facility i was pleased to see the outside. Was clean and neat. However, once i got inside this is where things got a little skeptical. The smell was putrid. The patients were all over. It also seemed short of staff. The attitudes of the nurses were umm not friendly at all..each nurse seemed to busy or extremely agitated to even answer simple questions, things that were very pertinant to the patient. I also observed that patients that needed more assistance seemed to not be looked after as they should or checked upon. Manor of novi could be a good place but major changes need to be made to staff.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

The staff of The Manor of Novi was good and the people I interacted were great. I would highly recommend the hospice care. It was fantastic. My brother looked forward to them coming because he could ask them to bring him something and they would bring it. The majority of the nurses had a lot of compassion for him. He was a very difficult person, but they were able to work around him. And that is one of the things that I really liked about them. They would also alert me immediately when he had fallen out of bed. They were always in communication with me on different things. My brother passed, but I cannot thank the Manor of Novi enough for taking care of my him.

Friend or relative of resident

The manor of Novi is a great senior care home for the elderly. All the facilities, beds, and rooms are very clean. The residents are treated very kindly and with a lot of patience from the employees. They have many recreational activities available for the residents each month such as egg tosses, movie outings, mall outings, trips to the casino, and many more. They even have events every year for the residents to enjoy such as the fashion show, where the residents can dress up, and dressing up in costumes every Halloween. Meals are provided in a timely manner and those who need help with being fed are assisted. Overall, the staff is very friendly and all clothes, bibs, pads, and bedsheets are washed everyday. The staff is very friendly and it is a great place to stay.
