As close to home as you can get. Clean spacious rooms. Home cooked meals. Compassionate caregivers. Very peaceful. They admitted my mom when no one else would and provide excellent care. Her room is beautiful. Amy treats everyone with kindness and respect and has a great knowledge about dementia care. I can finally rest easier knowing mom is well cared for.

The care was very good for the almost two months my mom resided there. The financial arrangement was not clearly spelled out with a contract and I was a bit surprised that there was no refund for care not received after the passing of my mom. When I questioned the provider they responded that I was lucky that they had put up with my mom's behavior. Until questioning about a refund I was continually told everything was OK and it was the nature and progression of the disease. I also paid a $500.00 deposit to secure a place for my mom while I made arrangements to switch hospice care providers and get a bed ordered for my mom at the request of the owner. I paid a $500.00 deposit for 2days. I am very disappointed in the advantage that our system takes of the elderly and people in need, Amy's Place included. Why should money be kept for 7 days of care that was not provided? My other disappointment was at the end of my mom's life, I was not allowed to stay and be with her. Amy extended visiting hours by one hour only knowing that the hospices nurse had called to tell me the end was near. When I initially visited Amy's Place that was one of my concerns and I was told that exceptions to visiting hours would be made at the end.

Amy's Place was outstanding in every possible way. It had a very calm atmosphere. The staff was always right there 24/7. It was very clean, exceptionally well-organized and the care was outstanding. When my mother first arrived, she knew she had come to a new place and she was very happy and she liked the people very much. I interviewed 10 different nursing homes and 10 facilities and it was the finest place.

I have placed my mother in 3 senior assisted homes. This is the best by far. Expert Loving Care!
