"We have selected Magnolia by the Lakes for my friend. The community overall had a very close-knit family type of environment. All the residents were extremely friendly. The place was clean. The amenities were top of the line. The floor plans were good, the upgrades were nice and the food was excellent. They have all sorts of activities, crafts, movie nights, church, and trips to the grocery store and the markets and the movies. They have a whole calendar of activities that are available daily. The staff was very knowledgeable and personable."

"My elderly father-in-law has been living comfortably at Provision Living at West Bloomfield for over one year. He has been enjoying the community setting including the variety of daily activities and the monthly field trips. The staff has been very supportive as he progresses through the aging process. Especially wonderful is the attention to all of the resident’s health and wellbeing. The PVL-West Bloomfield site has recently become part of the Story Point Group and all of his support team have been even more helpful during the transition. One of the most satisfying improvements has been the new menu of food that the in-house chef prepares daily. They also are so attentive that if a resident has a special request, the team does everything they can to help out each resident. Our family has been so impressed with the kind care that my father-in-law receives… it is very reassuring to know that this phase of life can be made less stressful for everyone involved. "My mom moved to Golden Grace by Majestic Residences. They've been very caring. They're also very good at helping with the transition because we just moved there. The food was very good. There was no smell. Everything was clean and dusted. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. It's not a large facility, but for a group home, it's laid our very well."

"This is the third assisted living facility that my husband has lived in within a short period of time, and it's truly "home." I never thought that my husband would move from our home of 32 years, but when it became necessary for him to do so, we finally found StoryPoint of Farmington Hills, and he couldn't be happier. The rooms and common areas are like what you would find in a beautiful hotel, but warm, accommodating, and homey. The entire staff is absolutely amazing. The dining room staff is awesome, and the food--which is very important to my husband--is wonderful. The activities, which are also very important to my husband, are also great, and the staff puts so much of themselves into them. What sets StoryPoint of Farmington Hills apart is the caring staff members, who put their hearts into everything that they do. StoryPoint of Farmington Hills is truly like a family, and my husband couldn't be happier."

"My dad has been admitted here. He is in memory care. He was able to adapt well. He has a nice little studio apartment. There's a TV, bed, and chair. They have nice meals. The facility is only about five years old. It's very roomy. The staff members check on the residents every few hours. They have some outdoor courts where they will take the residents so they could get outside without having to be outside the facility or parking lot. They have six or seven different types of rooms. If you go in, they give you the floor plan of each one. They have an exercise room, they have a TV out in the area where the residents dine, and they have a place that they call the pub. They also have an area where they can go and purchase different types of drinks and snacks if they like, and they have little tables there, and if the residents want to just sit there and have something without being in the main dining area, they can. They have a great program for the residents that are there. I can't say enough good things about it. The meals are limited. They're going to be low sodium and low fat. It's not a gourmet menu, but the idea is that it is suited to the seniors. They have a beautiful parking lot and there is a lot of handicapped parking right near the doorway there. In most places, their memory care is inside of another area. This memory care is a building that stands on its own, so it's the whole building, and that makes it nice, too. In most of the places I've been in, the memory care would be a locked area within the actual facility; however, this one is not. They have karaoke and puzzles. They immediately asked what type of interests my dad has and they try to get him involved. He's very quiet, but they got him out to watch the movie with the other residents right away, and I was very surprised that he's going to do that, so you can tell that he likes the facility."

"American House Milford is 5-star but very expensive. It’s a very beautiful building. The people are also very nice. The apartments were nice. "

"My dad moved to Rose Senior Living Providence Park. The facilities are very nice and everything's positive. The rooms are nice, everything's clean, and they have a lot of amenities. But the only thing was that the flexibility for things like the food is not as good as the other places. Their staff is also a little less accessible, they're not walking around very much, they're hiding in their offices most of the time. And it's tough to reach them without leaving a message."

"My father will be moving into Fairmont of Farmington Hills. They recently did a renovation, so it looked great, and they just had a grand opening. The apartments were OK, repainted, and newly furnished. The staff was helpful. He helped me see what they had and the changes they were planning to make as part of the renovations. He made a lot of things clear and has continued to be helpful. We were not able to sample the food, but the dining area was very clean and they had a cafe. They had people come in, and have performances come in. They have social events and holidays. They had an activities calendar."

"We chose Farmington Hills Inn for my brother mainly because of the money and the care. It was the best that we saw for us. You can't get in the building because of the virus. I've only talked to him one time through the window. I haven't had contact with the staff except the day we moved him in and signed the papers. The admittance people were very helpful. From what we saw, it looked very clean and everybody we saw in the hallways were helpful when we were bringing in his stuff. If we have a problem, they only need a three-day notice, and then we can move him to our second choice facility. In terms of value for the money, it fits in his budget."

"I went here. I was very pleased with it. It was clean. The residents that I came in contact with seemed happy. I like the facility as a whole. The rooms were a little smaller than I expected, but they were nice. The facility itself, and the grounds were also very pleasant, and the workers that I came in contact with were pleasant. They had physical therapy right there, which we were interested in. Seems like they had enough activities for the residents to be involved in. The one that gave us a tour was very helpful, very knowledgeable, and was able to answer all our questions."

"We're quite satisfied with Pleasant Valley Family Care. It's like a nursing home, only it's a private home and they're licensed by the State. They give my husband everything that a nursing home would. It's pretty good right there. I have high respect for all of them. His room is not huge, but it's plenty big. He has a La-Z-Boy chair, a chest of drawers, a table, a bed, and his own bathroom. It's the cleanest place I've ever been. When you enter, you have to either take your shoes off or put on those plastic booties. There is a little porch in the front where you could go out and sit if you want. They have a chair out there, and those in wheelchairs can bring their wheelchairs out to the front of the house and look at the outside for a while. The staff is the best. They have a piano player that comes in, they have a guitar player that comes in, and they have somebody that comes in and does stuff with the patients. It's every week that someone is there."
