"I would not recommend Cranberry Park West Bloomfield for memory care. I took a picture of the food they served my husband for dinner one night, and it was a cup-sized chili, a small croissant with such a thin layer of either chicken salad or tuna salad on it that you couldn't even see it without lifting the bread, and a juice. The facility was clean. The first thing they tell you is they will keep your loved ones safe, but they did not do that. I was just so upset that my husband spent six days in the hospital until I could find another place to put him, and when we got that done, he only lived about nine days and died, and I blame it all on the fall. Another resident shoved him, went into the wall, hit his head, and then fell to the floor on his hands and knees. I had seen him that day, and he was functioning as good as he always has. He walked, he talked, he ate, and he could express his opinions. After that fall, I went to the hospital and saw him in an emergency room. I could not understand him because all he was talking about was gibberish. There was no program in trying to help his memory. I went in one day, and he was sitting all by himself in the dining room. On another day, he was in the dining room looking out the window. Nobody else was with him. If I had to do it over again, he would never have been placed there. The staff was OK. They were friendly, but they didn't give him much help. All they did was babysit. They didn't keep him safe. He was a big eater, and he would eat anything, but when I saw what they were giving him for dinner, that's all he had. As far as personalities go, the staff was very friendly, but they certainly did not do a good job with memory care. They were not trained for it. The only thing I ever saw them do was play balloon volleyball. They had puzzles set up and Legos and stuff like that, but nobody was ever there to help them. I saw one lady who was working on a jigsaw puzzle by herself. I think with the balloon volleyball, it was just my husband, and when I came in, I joined in, but the rest was all staff."

"The tour guide was very knowledgeable, friendly and knew the residents. Magnolia is clean and has many fun activities The food was not your normal senior resident menu - very good selections daily. . There is a shuttle to get the residence to places they want to go and the view of the lake is magnificent."

"I went to American House Milford and it showed good potential. It was clean and I was impressed with the large double room. The staff was friendly and helpful. The facility was nice and clean, and they kept the lawn well. They had a small gym, and the dining area was neat. It's just off of the main highway."

"My Mom was here for two years. She was treated with love, respect and empathetic care; and as a true member of Danielle and Daniels family. You will never find a more beautiful and caring home. "

"My mother is here. It seems homey and friendly. They have her in memory care right now. I've seen the food, but I've not tried it. It's not gourmet by any chance, but it's fine. They have walking, bingo, the music occasionally and somebody comes in, and arts and crafts. Carl's golf club is right next to it, and it's across Costco and McDonald's."

"My elderly father-in-law has been living comfortably at Provision Living at West Bloomfield for over one year. He has been enjoying the community setting including the variety of daily activities and the monthly field trips. The staff has been very supportive as he progresses through the aging process. Especially wonderful is the attention to all of the resident’s health and wellbeing. The PVL-West Bloomfield site has recently become part of the Story Point Group and all of his support team have been even more helpful during the transition. One of the most satisfying improvements has been the new menu of food that the in-house chef prepares daily. They also are so attentive that if a resident has a special request, the team does everything they can to help out each resident. Our family has been so impressed with the kind care that my father-in-law receives… it is very reassuring to know that this phase of life can be made less stressful for everyone involved. Thanks again to David and his entire team!"

"My mom moved to Golden Grace by Majestic Residences. They've been very caring. They're also very good at helping with the transition because we just moved there. The food was very good. There was no smell. Everything was clean and dusted. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. It's not a large facility, but for a group home, it's laid our very well."

"My aunt recently passed. She lived in the memory care of this community. My family toured many local memory facilities before we moved her here and we are very happy we did. Nikki, the director and her staff are great. They were always attentive to her and were very communicative w us on her medication mgmt and the changes in her condition. The memory care area was lively and always filled w residents and staff--weather they were having a birthday party or playing games. The community is beautiful, very clean and a nice environment. My family an dI had interactions w Kelleigh the Director, Tierra the Head Nurse and Lisa and Susan who helped us move my Aunt in. Thank you all."

"I toured Fairmont of Farmington Hills. They showed me everything. The place itself is beautiful, and it pretty much feels like home. Their room feels like you're inside of your own house rather than in an assisted living place. There are memory care rooms and regular rooms. They also have a giant field outside. They actually were throwing some sort of party there. There were multiple people who took me around and showed me their stuff, but all of them were phenomenal. The place was super clean, too."

"Farmington Hills Inn was a nice facility. I visited both the assisted living and memory care. The lady was real nice and knowledgeable. She was very pleasant and very caring. It was just a little dated, but overall, it was clean, and well-kept. The residents seemed well taken care of, and they also had activities for the residents. They have a library, a chapel, a beauty salon, TV room, and stuff like that."

"We're quite satisfied with Pleasant Valley Family Care. It's like a nursing home, only it's a private home and they're licensed by the State. They give my husband everything that a nursing home would. It's pretty good right there. I have high respect for all of them. His room is not huge, but it's plenty big. He has a La-Z-Boy chair, a chest of drawers, a table, a bed, and his own bathroom. It's the cleanest place I've ever been. When you enter, you have to either take your shoes off or put on those plastic booties. There is a little porch in the front where you could go out and sit if you want. They have a chair out there, and those in wheelchairs can bring their wheelchairs out to the front of the house and look at the outside for a while. The staff is the best. They have a piano player that comes in, they have a guitar player that comes in, and they have somebody that comes in and does stuff with the patients. It's every week that someone is there."
