The owners and employees treat the residents as if they are family. It is very clean and has no medicinal smell. The food is made mostly from scratch and they adjust for each resident's dietary needs. Each person's clothing from the day is cleaned at night and their night clothes are cleaned during the morning. Each resident has their own furnished room with a large flat screen TV and cable. Residents each have a sit to stand recliner to relax in during the day. Ahava brings in a recreational therapist twice a week plus bingo twice a week, and an art instructor once a week. In addition, a nurse visits regularly and they arrange for residents to have PT and/or OT as needed. The doctor comes regularly as well.
