My mom moved into Westlake Health Campus. They take really good care of her. The place is very clean. The food is good. Overall, it's a really good place. My mom's room is nice. The staff is nice and communicates well with me. The facility is pretty new. I think it's only a few years old. They have music and bands come in. They do arts and exercise games. It's in a quiet neighborhood, so things are pretty calm around there.

I went to Westlake Health Campus. I like it but there was no opening, so that wasn't even an option. It was very nice and clean. The people that were there appeared to be clean and well taken care of. The staff was very informative. I just talked to one gal. She was very involved. She knew everybody's name. Anybody who came through the door, she knew who they were. She was very involved with the whole situation. She showed me a pretty roomy room for assisted living. It's not small. It was a bigger room than I expected. It's more of a studio that has a separate bathroom, shower, and sink right next to it. Then there's a bed in there and then they can bring in their own furniture if they want. There were several courtyards, there was a dining room, and there was quite a bit of area where they can come in and get drinks during the day if they want. The place was clean and updated, and there was plenty of staff there cleaning.

I would have liked to have had a meeting that set out a plan, what were the benchmarks for the individual, what was the schedule for all of the therapies. It would have been good to have continuity of care. There were a number of excellent nurses and patient care aides, and then there were some that should not have been there. Calls were not returned. There was no noted plan of care. I would have appreciated follow thru, a meeting to discuss a plan of care, continunity of staff. I would like recognition of the staff who demonstrated that they really cared. Staff that did not assume taking an ocular test of ability and professionals (doctors) who followed thru with what they said and demonstrated a concern for the residents.

My father was in Westlake Health Campus while he was in rehabilitation, and they had a couple of COVID cases, and they just basically make you aware of it. They make people wear a mask and face shields. They took other precautions, but they didn't lockdown. It was a nice-looking place, but he didn't like the food as well as where he's at now. His room was very comfortable. It was a large room and it was very nice. They were very attentive. He went from not even getting out of bed to being able to use a wheelchair. The therapists were excellent. Every time he pushed a button or the showers, he was getting everything he was supposed to be getting.

My mother-in-law was at Westlake Health Campus for rehab and she really liked it. It's very easy to find and get into. She liked the staff members. It's a newer facility, so it's very nice and clean. The food was very good. They had sing-alongs and bingo.

If you just need a caregiver for a break may be fine, but if medical supervision is needed then avoid it at all costs. I would have taken my mother out earlier but going against their doctors order can result in loss of Medicare benefits. I picked her up and took her straight to the hospital where she passed away 7 days later, despite begging the staff to listen to her complaints.

My dad was sent there at Westlake for rehab for a little while. Food was excellent. They had assisted living, skilled nursing, memory and rehab. They were good. For activities, they had reminiscence groups, bingo, arts and crafts, and a lot of outside bands and musicians were brought in. What I like about Westlake is that the staff was so accessible. You can find staff everywhere. If you put the light on, it was answered within two minutes. The facility was very nice.

I was an in-patient at Westlake Health Campus. I was there twice; the first time, I was there for four weeks and the second time for 6 weeks. I was in a very nice, large, and comfortable room. The staff was amazing. They all had smiles on their faces, they were happy, they like their job, and they like taking care of people, and when they are happy, it makes our healing go much faster. The food was delicious. I didn't see a lot of the other patients because I was in therapy a lot, but they were all very friendly and looking to get better, but at meals we got to talk quite a bit and they were very nice. They had the same opinion that I did about the staff and how much they help us to get well. I only had one major problem with Westlake and that was the medications. The medications are not easily come by, they bring them in from Ohio, and I went three days without one of my medications and I was just glad that it was not something that could have been life threatening. I wasn't unhappy with it. It is a very nice facility.

Westlake is close to my house. We went there and talked to the people that ran the place and they seemed nice, but once I got in there it was a whole different story. Their food is cold. I asked for my medicine and two and a half hours later, I had to get up, go down to the nurse's station and find a nurse.
