My mother is doing fine at Sunrise of West Bloomfield. The staff members are caring, very professional, and very attentive. The director and the lady that sits at the desk are really nice. It's very well kept. She's supposed to be moving rooms. They have her in a double suite right now, so it's spacious, but she's going to be going in a studio. They clean the rooms twice a week. The dining area is nice. It looks like a restaurant type area. The grounds are very well kept, and there are pretty flowers. It's homey looking. My mom likes the food. They have a main entree, but they give them other choices if they don't care for that. The have crafts, they have an exercise class that she's been going to, and they have bingo. It's kind of expensive. We chose it because of the location, and it was upon a recommendation.

I toured Sunrise of West Bloomfield. They were very open, even the patients were very open, and they were very excited and very welcoming. They were explaining things that were going on in the building as they worked there. I liked that they were very energetic. They had music playing throughout the building that was nice and soothing. Everybody was interacting, the kitchen staff, the people on the floor, the hostess, they were all interacting, making them feel good about themselves. The apartments were nice. They look like a little mini-home. They were spacious and very open. You could tell that the staff made sure that they took care of cleaning because you can see it even in the patient's room that the housekeepers were cleaning. There was no odor or anything. I haven't tried the food but it looked good and the residents say that it was excellent. They didn't have any disagreements.

They lose everything!! Lost my mothers clothes all the time there were always clothes that didn’t belong to her in her drawers. They lost her phone and jewelry which h I’m still suspicious of!. Her room has black mold in it they had to move her. She fell and it seemed more than normal. Lots of injuries. Room was not cleaned very much I had to do it. The food was terrible! Watered down soup small portions no nutrients value.

Sunrise of West Bloomfield was very clean. There are a lot of open rooms and a lot of activities for the seniors. The staff seemed friendly and they had a lot of staff members helping the residents. They had a game room, a movie room, a kitchen area, a pool room, and a dance night coming up.

My husband moved to Sunrise of West Bloomfield. We chose this place because of the availability, mainly, and word of mouth from people saying it's a wonderful place to be. The move-in experience was fine, so far so good. What I like best would be the people that work there, and the way they treat everybody. They genuinely take care of the people that live there and help them out. He says the food is wonderful. The facility is very clean, very homey, and comfortable. From the outside, it's a multi-story building that's kind of old-fashioned, but up to date and very inviting. There are lots of trees on the outside.

I toured Sunrise of West Bloomfield. From what I observed, they had a variety of rooms to choose from, which I really liked. Their staff was very cordial and attentive, and I was there a good hour and a half. The location was not practical for my family, it was completely out of the way from my other siblings. The facility was very nice, very clean, and very well laid out. I felt like I was at my grandma's house. It has nice furniture, a nice dining room, and the people seemed to be very good. There were activities going on when I went there, and the people seemed to be happy. The staff was very, very cordial. It was a different type of facility than where my mom is, but if my mom needed that extensive care later on in life, I wouldn't hesitate to put her in something like this place.

We've chosen the Sunrise of West Bloomfield for my mother, but we haven't moved her in yet. We like the layout of the facility. The people we talked to were very nice. They were willing to make whatever accommodations we needed to assist my mother. They have music, they have exercise programs, they have some amount of allowing the residents to do physical therapy, that type of thing.

Sunrise of W. Bloomfield has done an amazing job - particularly during the Covid season. They stayed Covid free until November, 2020 and then lasted for 23 days when it was cleared up. And no cases since then. My sister has had wonderful care and I would recommend this facility to anyone. The management and nursing staff truly care about their patients and do whatever is needed. Most importantly, her personal caregivers are also extremely caring and competent. Thank you to all for making this experience go so well. G

I visited 3 facilities. Only one was very good. It was Sunrise of West Bloomfield, and that was excellent. My mom was there last year, in November. They had good activities, great staff, good meals and they could choose their meals. The room that she had was with a beautiful view. We only take her to a facility while we go to Arizona for 2 weeks a year, that's the only time we take her. The staff were very appropriate, and very good. She was very happy to be there, and she had a good experience. The food was good. She said they had a chef, you could pick what you wanted, you could pick anytime you wanted the food and she said it was delicious, plus they had guest trays so when family could go visit last year, they could order a tray. The dining area was big. It was very nice with windows, lots of rooms and very open. The facility is beautiful, very, very homey, very nice, and very well laid out. They had beauticians, barbers, all kinds of things for them. They had activities, crafts, paintings, musicians, singers, bingo and movies, so they have a lot of different things there. The facility was great.

My friend moved into the memory care of Sunrise of West Bloomfield. It is easy access for visitors, but we like the security and we feel good with it. The service seems to be working quite well and we're satisfied. If anything, we would just like a little more communication with us. The place is clean and the meals are nice for the residents. They have a nice activities program on-site.

I was going to put my husband into Sunrise of West Bloomfield. I really like it. They seemed to have a lot of different activities. They have a large garden area. Every time I went, they were doing some kind of an activity, which is a good sign. The staff members were very nice. I had been looking everywhere, and Sunrise of West Bloomfield was the one that really attracted me until I found another place a week later. Nevertheless, Sunrise of West Bloomfield said they would give me back my money, and they did, so that's good in my book. The room was adequate. It had a window and a nice view to the outside. They provide a bed and a dresser. However, the garden area was locked. Also, it was a much smaller area for the lockdown memory care people.

Sunrise of West Bloomfield had a unique individual environment which was what we liked. The residents seemed to be engaged in activities, which we liked. We really like the individuality of the rooms. Each room was kind of unique and different. The staff was friendly and accommodating. I liked the grounds and the location. It was a really nice facility. It was not cheap, but I thought it was reasonable.

I was not interested in Sunrise of West Bloomfield. It was an older facility, and the rooms were not as spacious. It was definitely subdued and was not a good drive for me.

I visited Sunrise of West Bloomfield. The staff was very welcoming and warm. They gave us a tour, were very nice, and answered all of our questions. The facility was beautiful. Unfortunately, it was out of our price range. The community areas where the people could gather or where they went to eat stood out to me. They offered different activities like bingo or had people visit to play the piano for them. The rooms were pleasant. You had to bring your own furniture, but they were very nice and had windows. The staff was very nice to my mother and treated her very well. They had a dog that wandered around, and everybody could pet him whenever they wanted.

Sunrise of West Bloomfield is excellent. My mom’s been there for about four weeks now, and they’ve been very attentive and very responsive. They really go out of their way to make sure that her needs are met and that the family is well informed, which is very important. It’s fairly new but small. She’s been very comfortable compared to where she was before. She had a pretty severe stroke, so she’s not improving a lot, but at this point, I’m just trying to keep her comfortable and thriving. She’s been receiving good care.

We went to Sunrise of West Bloomfield for my mom. I have to say it is top-notch. It looked very nice. However, I didn’t think it was suitable for my mom. It was awesome and nice. The facility was very clean and pleasant. Everyone was very pleasant, too. The staff was very nice. They showed me two rooms, and they looked very nice. It was a good experience. It was a nice community.

My mother is 91 and she has dementia but she has really done much better at Sunrise of West Bloomfield. We chose this because they have nursing care seven days a week. There are also two nurses on staff. They provide very good followup and the caregivers are very nice. They do a good job there. They have great activities. They keep the facility clean and nice. It doesn't smell. With regards to accommodations, they have a variety of rooms available based on what you want to pay. They are all fine. Food is another good thing about this facility. They offer choices for each meal. Aside from giving them menu, they also post what the menu will be for the month.
