I'm here at Lions Gate. When I came here, the people were friendly. I had to wait a little bit before I could get in. The food is good. The accommodations are good. Everything is fine here. I like the food. I like the people. I have made a lot of friends here. I go swimming. They have a pool. I go Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays in the mornings for physical therapy. They have lectures at night. Sometimes, they have movies. They put on special occasions for the holidays, like Veterans Day and Thanksgiving and all that stuff. It's really a really nice place to live. I'm in an apartment here and the facilities are really good. If there are any problems, I call maintenance and they're here within a half an hour to fix the problem. I don't need to do any maintenance myself. It's all done for you. They accept pets, too, so if you wanted to bring like a small dog in your apartment with you, they'll allow that. I'm by myself. I have a bathroom, a kitchen, a living room, and a dining room. It's plenty of room for me. There's a lot of activities here.

Lions Gate was clean and very nice. They have exercises, a swimming pool, some Bible study, and a library. The staff was very pleasant. It's nice that they had cottages instead of just an apartment setting. If you got extra pieces of luggage, they would give you a space for that. They were nice.

Be for warned, maintenance is useless, you can never find anyone to help you. Evs either. Facilities are dirty and smelly and truth be told falling apart after 15 years. They don’t clean g FB or Covid.

We chose to have my parents at Lions Gate, because my father had been there for rehab, and he really liked everything about it. So since he'd already been there for that, we decided to have them both there. The rooms are very, very nice. The staff is very accommodating. They both love the food. There's lots of activities and it's very close to me, so it's very convenient, too. They have entertainment, lectures, clubs, and choral groups (my father loves to sing and he wants to join that). The atmosphere is very nice. It's clean and bright. I highly recommend them.

Lions Gate seemed like a very caring facility, and able to meet everybody's needs. The hard part was you put up a certain amount of money so that you're there for a lifetime, and some people can't afford to do that, but they're really good. We stayed for lunch and the food was great. They have an active physical therapy class, which was helpful for me, and they have a pool, which I really need. All the food accommodations are also provided, and they take you out to either groceries or to the malls. They're still in the process of building new structures too.

Lions Gate is a beautiful campus. It had all the amenities. It took a long time to get from one building to the other, so it was a long walk. The staff was fabulous. The rooms were smaller than we thought they would be. There was a class going on while we were there. The residents were in a concert or something. We saw a swimming pool, and we saw the medical facility that they have. We met a doctor. It was beautiful. I saw a library, I saw where they eat, and I saw the common areas that were beautifully done. We looked at assisted and independent living. The staff members who accommodated us bent over backward for us. They were wonderful. We had a tour scheduled for the assisted care, and Alan immediately dismissed it, and so they called up the independent living director, who came over and got up and walked over to the independent living area and did a full tour with us. They were wonderful.

My father is in Lions Gate for rehab. We're very happy with it. It's very clean. They take very good care of him, and they push him, which is good. We have no complaints. He talks about the food. He says it's OK. He doesn't like fish and I think they serve a lot of fish, but they're taking care of him. The staff is very helpful. The facility is beautiful and well maintained.

Mom is in Lions Gate, and she hates it there. The food is horrible, and she feels like the aides are not too attentive. When I bring her stuff and I send it, it takes them hours to get it to her. Sometimes, she has to wait half an hour to an hour for someone to get to her when she pushes the button. It's also very expensive. She's in a private room, and it's now costing us $520 a day, which is a lot. For that kind of money, I expect more attentiveness to be honest. The facility is okay, and I don't have a problem with the layout, it's more on the care my mom is getting. Now with COVID, there are a few activities and they keep getting cancelled. Mom enjoys music and entertainment, but they keep getting cancelled. They should work on improving the food and attention to the residents. I just don't feel like my mom is getting the attention she deserves. It's a perfect location to me. It's close to my house and I can drop off things, that part I like. Sometimes, they're clean and maintained. She complains that sometimes the trash piles up, which I assume is typical for nursing homes, and she has to beg somebody to come and get it.

Horrendous skilled nursing facility. Senior administration does not communicate policies, processes and other necessary information to residents and their families. They do not return calls or emails. In the 1 or 2 instances they did respond they were disrespectful, disingenuous and not fortcoming. Understaffed. In 2 weeks ratio of aid to resident was 1:16 (supposed to be 1:8). In house Physical Therapy rude and overrides physicians orders. Staff will not even try to help mom transfer from bed to bathroom. They can’t be bothered. When they finally respond 20 minutes after rung for they tell her to go in her diaper. She never wore a diaper during the day until moved there. Her mobility severely decreased after only being in their skilled nursing 2 weeks. She will likely never regain it.

Disappointed in the lack of bariatric beds and/or care. It seems like a bias based on the size of the person in need of care.

Please Please do not make the same error as I have. This facility does not deserve your love one as what is sold to you will NOT be the reality. This property was totally unprepared for the Virus. The Staff is under Paid and the property does not staff properly. Lionsgate had NO plans on how the family could stay in touch with our family. Its chaos. Little or no infectious disease control even if they lead you to believe they do. Sure, probably in their SOP collecting dust in the Director's Desk. IF you can take care of your family at home, DO IT! Stay away from Lionsgate. It's all smoke and mirrors. The food is so awful. Awful!

My husband stayed at Lions Gate rehab and everything was very nice. They have a common room with tables, armchairs, and books. They have a restaurant on each floor, with small tables for up to four people. The staff was very nice. The food was good.

Lions Gate has a pretty building, it's pretty inside, and the dining room is nice. The staff member who assisted us seemed nice. They have activities in the gym, and I heard the food is good. However, it's expensive. There's an entrance fee and a monthly fee.

We liked Lion’s Gate. We visited because it was in our price range. The staff was very responsive, very reliable and treated us very well. We’re moving there on Tuesday. The apartments are very nice; I have a two-bedroom, two-bath with a kitchen, a living room, and a dining area. The food is very good. They have everything you ever wanted for activities, including arts and crafts, painting, dancing, all kinds of cards, and a pool. The people who lived there were polite; they introduced themselves to me, and I felt I’ll be welcome there.

Dad was in rehab from his first back surgery in January. It was a very lovely facility with qualified and very caring people working there. I thought the rehab was very good for him. It was a much smaller facility. They were much older people, and sometimes it was very difficult to communicate with them because they had Alzheimer's and dementia. The food was good there. It was a set menu. You had 2 choices for your meals. You could even pick from a whole menu.

My aunt is at Lions Gate right now. It seems very well run; the food is adequate. The only reason she would be looking for a change would be to be closer to us. It's over an hour away. The activities are adequate. She has a card game going all the time. She plays mahjong but she's a very good bridge player. She's extremely happy there. She has a nice apartment. It's a 1-bedroom unit which is one of the smaller units. It was adequate for her and my uncle when they lived there and now, it's just for her. It has a small kitchen, a decent-sized bathroom with a shower, a washer and dryer, and a little balcony off the bedroom.

We are staying in Lions Gate. We're in their independent living facility. There is also an assisted living facility here. It is a continuing care facility. The environment, accommodation, and the services of the staff are wonderful. My husband and I are very happy here.

The nicest one was Lions Gate but it's also one of the most expensive. It looked like a very expensive hotel. The rooms are accommodating. They have Kosher meals. The people were nice and friendly and some people seemed engaged. They have bingo, they have mahjong, they'll take you shopping. They have organized some shopping trips if you're mobile enough and can get on the bus.

The facility itself was nice, as it was less than 5 years old. Staff members were very kind and accommodating to my Grandfather. Unfortunately one evening he took off his ring and locked it in a drawer and it was stolen overnight, presumably by a staff member. This experience tarnished our feelings about the facility. The amenities were nice, big courtyard, a lending library, and a large bird cage with brightly colored birds. I think my Grandfather was happy at this place.

This facility involves a lot of walking so we are not considering this place. We saw the rooms, they were okay; they were nice and big. I think to better improve their services they could make it more convenient for their residents. They could use more (motorized) wheel chairs. I think this is the best that they can do.

Lions Gate seemed like a very nice place for elderly people. It has plenty of land and very green grass! Upon arrival a very friendly tour guide greeted my grandparents and I, and started our tour. The dining hall was large and there was a lot of variety in the food. I am not a coffee drinker but my grandfather did not like it. The rooms seemed comfortable with many amenities to make things easier. The people seemed fairly content given their situation. We saw the nursing staff at work and they seemed very competent and knew everyone's names. The best part of Lions Gate is how they fit your needs. If you do not need as much assistance you can live on a standalone home in the vicinity. For people who need more help they have apartments. Both were very spacious and I could tell my grandparents were impressed. They can't wait to sell their home and move in!
