The Cottages at Allen Springs offer a cottage instead of an apartment, and it has a garage. It is all on one level, which is important. They also offer many activities, and the rental cost includes all utilities, even the Internet. The woman who assisted me was knowledgeable and friendly. It was immaculately clean, very appealing visually, and very nicely decorated. The atmosphere was calm and interesting. The cottage was very, very spacious.

The Cottages at Allen Springs is very, very nice. I think it's 16 or 18 years old. There are duplexes and quadruplexes, and all are single stories. They have access to all the services of the other facility, like the meals, the assisted living, and in-home health care. The location is wonderful too. They don't require you to have a meal plan, which is a plus for us. The other benefit of it is they require no advance payment. It goes to a month-to-month rent and you can cancel out any time after thirty days. The person who toured me was very, very helpful, and I've been in touch with her for some time now, because we've been on the waiting list for a spell. They have available activities to the other property, but my wife and I are very active, we would play golf and we would travel. We don't really have a tremendous need for on-site activities, so that was not a focus for us, but they are available should we desire them through the other property. The dining area is very nice. We have not eaten there but reports say that the food and services are very good and the dining area is very clean and very nice. They also have transportation, board games, movies, and all those kind of things.
