My mother is in McFarlan Home. It's a very nice facility. I think it's one of the best that I've seen. She's been there for almost two years now. The staff is great. The only thing they did not have is therapy or anything like that. A lot of the things that they would've had that they don't have now were because of COVID. It would require a lot of people to be coming in, but I think they do their best. It would be on the top of the list because I haven't seen anything like that around here. If they want to participate, they have bingo and other games in the facility. They do a pretty good job. They have them up and dancing and they have music and other things that they do with them. I can only just go by what my mom does and what she enjoys doing. She's satisfied with the particular activities that she participates in. I have a list of what they provide and how much it costs. The price is dependent upon the room that you get, and I guess it's a pretty good price. In comparison to a nursing home, they're really good as far as price is concerned.

Court Street Village is a community where my grandmother lives. The individuals on staff there are very helpful to her for whatever she needs. The building is very secure and safe at all times, which you must be buzzed in by the person living there. My grandmother has a car, so there is a parking lot for the seniors and a separate lot for visitors. All upper level apartments have balconies, which she loves very much. Her balcony faces the beautiful court yard with lovely trees and flowers planted. There is a large dining room for the seniors to have three meals a day if they do not feel like cooking their own meals. When the dining room is not used for meals, there are always some sort of games or sing a longs happening, which she loves to attend. There are also daily bus rides to the local malls and grocery stores for them buy the needed items they desire. This building is old, but the maintenance crews are great at keeping the facility running great. I would recommend this community to any of my friends for their loved ones
