I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My dad is in a place called Maple Place Adult Assisted Living. It's a group home. The staff is good. The food looks okay. The facility is always clean. They have bingo and movie nights. They go outside and catch a ball and they get people to come in and do arts and crafts too. The value is good.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

I placed my father-in-law in Maple Place. It’s a small facility with only 13 patients, and they have 4 aides per 13 people. It's very impressive that they have that much care for the residents, and the food is included. It's leaning more toward hospice or dementia patients, and they do different little activities with them. It's a very likeable place, and I would recommend anyone to go there because the care is very phenomenal. They're very clean, the aides make sure the sheets are changed regularly, and they do laundry for the patients. It's a great place, the aides are awesome, the owner is outstanding, and they have an RN on-site 24 hours. The place is very nice, welcoming, and friendly. You’d never walk in without someone saying hello, which is very important because if they're treating us this way, they're also treating the residents the same way. It's more of a home environment than it is a nursing facility. They have a really large dining table, and they always have my father-in-law join the others. I can't say enough about the facility.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

My wife is at Maple Place. The staff that's helping her is really good and try to do as much as they can. The person who owns the place is actually a nurse, and I like that idea. The place is small and only holds 10 or 12 people, which I like, too. It's very home-like. She likes the people there, so that's one good thing. It's a very good place and more reasonably priced, too. They don't have a whole lot of activities. They have some games to try to keep them active, but there's no major schedule of activities, though they do try to entertain them as much as they can. The facilities are kept up well. It's not a new place. It was a home that had been renovated with two wings put on it that hold six people. It's very well-kept in paint and repairs, and I'm happy with that. It's clean and has home-cooked meals. The nurse who owns the place is a hospice nurse. They don't have resident nurses, but they have people come in as needed daily. They try to give them some physical therapy so they can get a little stronger.
