Forest View has been absolutely fantastic. The facilities are clean and comfortable and the employees are very nice and caring. We evaluated many nursing homes and found that Diane at Forest View was the most responsive, attentive, compassionate and caring individual to work with. She quickly set us at ease during the very difficult and emotional time with my mother. This is the best place in the area from a price, quality of care, and human touch perspective. Highly recommended.

When I showed up to visit, my mom, staff told me she was taken to the hospital after a fall. But they refused to tell me where she was taken or anything about her current status. I asked to speak to the manager and she threatened to call the police if I did not leave the building!!! She refused to tell me where my mom was too!!! UNBELIEVABLE!!! My brother put her in this disgusting place without my knowledge, and even after I provided Forestview with a court order showing I was entitled to know about my mom's healthcareand obviously her whereabouts they still refused to comply. Her room was disgustingly dirty. We found all kinds of debris on the sink in the bathroom on the floors on the walls. Her bedding and her clothes were soiled when we came to visit her. We had to tell the staff they needed to clean her up on more than one occasion, and to clean her room up on every occasion. She fell multiple times at this facility and their solution was to put her in a wheelchair bound room, and when she was in there to remove her walker. So she fell in her own room and smashed her head and broke her hip because she had no way to get to the bathroom and nobody was answering her calls to help her. This place needs to be investigated by the state of Michigan and closed. They do not care about their residence. They treat them like they're not even a human being. Within a year of her fall, she had passed away from being wheelchair, bound for the rest of her life. The large contusion on her head remained for the rest of her life from that fall.

I was very pleased with Brownstown's Forest View Assisted Living. It was clean and it had a very nice atmosphere. They knew all the residents by name. I got to meet a lot of the staff members, too, which made me very happy, as opposed to just getting a walk around. It is very close to my home and my son and I didn't get a nursing home feeling when I walked in. It felt homey. Their common areas were set up. They're not sterile. There were couches, TVs, and coffee tables. I felt comfortable there. I went into the dining area and it's set up quite a bit like a restaurant as opposed to a cafeteria. Their sample menu looked pretty good to me. If you don't like what they're serving, you can have a sandwich. I liked that there's other option and they encourage the residents to come into the dining room. They also offer OT and PT (which they encourage the residents to go to it as well). They're all-inclusive in their pricing and then they have end-of-life care so there's nothing ala carte. You would know what your costs are going to be. Their corridors are kind of a dormitory style so I didn't care for that particularly, but they're putting up artwork in there and they're expanding their patio area out in the back. The apartment comes fully furnished. There were a lot of residents outside sitting, enjoying the air. While some of them were in the front or in the back of the building. The calendars were full of activities every single day. I saw the salon, the area where they do their activities, and they play bingo with money and prizes to win.

Very poor care and staff are always on their cell phones, very unprofessional med techs and food is horrible , the rooms are outdated and cost is too high. Don’t waste your time.

Short staffed. Residents answer phones in the night, maybe because staff are asleep. No good care, half of the time they don't give residents water.Residents are just an income to the place. Concerns are ignored or your lied to.Director puts on a show all she does is fill the rooms.Food is low quality garbage. Not much to do there besides stare at the walls

I chose Brownstown's Forest View for my mother. It's clean, free of odor, and has very friendly staff. We know some people staying there. It's very reasonably priced and includes laundry, 3 meals a day (plus snacks), and the cost of the cable TV. They have activities on a daily basis. It is assisted living, so the rent is based on what kind of room you're in. The care that you receive is based on a tier system from being totally independent to a lot of care needed. She likes the food.

Forest View is clean and small. The staff seemed to be well-trained and attentive to the community. My mom's room is clean, organized, and well thought out. The pricing is reasonable.

I've been to this facility a number of times in the recent past. I find the management and staff to be great. Employees seem to really care about the residents. I like the size of this place, small and cozy. Not overwhelming.

My mother-in-law is at Brownstown's Forest View Assisted Living. It is absolutely a fantastic place. She is well taken care of, and the staff is friendly. It's a smaller facility, and I think that they have less than 100 residents. There are just two floors, and it is perfect. She has already made friends there. Every time we go there for a visit, they have been outstanding. They have field trips where they'll take them out to different venues. We are very happy with the place.

I was totally turned off by Forest View. It is much more of a nursing home than assisted living. The only thing that they offered was studios with a bed. The sitting room is like all one thing and the nursing station was right outside the room and my mom is just not there yet. If my mom were more ill and in need of closer attention, it would probably be okay but for the condition that my mom is in right now, I did not want it for her at this point. I was a little disappointed. There was a young man there and he does not seem really knowledgeable and not really forthcoming. Maybe he was just new but I was the least impressed with them.
