"I toured American House Westland Venoy. I like the community because when you first come in, it's like the doors lock. So, it's not really open to the public because the seniors there, if they have memory care, can't get out. So, I did like the safety of the facility. The customer service there was nice throughout, and the employees from the front desk, the front office, all greeted me. I liked the dining room. Everything looked like it was updated. They greeted me when I came in. Even as I was walking along the halls, they still greeted me. They smiled. They were friendly. The person I was walking around with actually had to clean some of the rooms, which I'm not against her cleaning the rooms, but that lets me know that sometimes they may not have enough housekeepers to clean the facility, but because I was coming, I think they made it work."

"Best Assisted Living center ever. The facility is a home, with 6 hospital beds. Dora makes the residents and family visiting feel like family. My sister had stage four cirrhosis of the liver. We came to Blessed Assisted Living for Hospice care. My sister was always clean and feed. I told my children if I ever need Hospice, Re-Habilitation, or Assisted living please take me here. I thank GOD ever night that I found Blessed Assisted Living. "

"We toured Alice Lorraine Care Center. It was super clean. They're very nice and very helpful people to work with. As far as decoration is concerned, it was very nice, and the grounds were beautiful. Even though we weren't there when the flowers were blooming, you could just see that they had a nice garden area. They have a gazebo. Every room has one or at least two windows, so you could see out onto the grounds. There is a nice big window that looks out on a wall and the wall has statues and things to make it look pretty. Out of all the places that I have looked, Alice Lorraine Care Center felt warm, cozy, and friendly. And the people that were living there were smiling and were involved with each other, playing games and playing cards in one area. Some were just watching television, but you could tell that they were very involved in that home and the residents there. The staff who gave the tour was very helpful. She showed us the kitchen area and the snacks available. Anytime somebody wants a snack, they could have somebody get it for them or they could get it themselves. The cook that was there was starting to make lunch, and it smelled good."

"Clare Bridge was very clean and homey.It was almost like you were walking into someone's home. I think they were set up for only 18 people. They had a waiting list though and they were full. The staff was very nice, helpful and willing to set us up with another place until they had an opening but it was just far. "

"My mom has been here since April and for several months I was extremely happy with the facility, the staff was great when it came to the care of the residents. The only problem I had in the beginning was missing clothes and shoes. Recently the staff and administrators have changed and not for the better, I don’t understand why the change because the old staff was the best, no one is hardly available to address my concerns and the nursing staff is not as professional like the old staff which I wish could come back. At this point I’m looking for a new facility especially since they have increased their fees $200.00 and their services are no longer worth it. The only thing that is consistent from the time my mom moved in would be the activity director Bridgit, she is amazing and has my mother very active. It saddens me to see this beautiful place and staff in the beginning to change so drastically to the point I’m removing my mother from her comfort zone but I can’t keep her there. We had a life scare and Jatonya noticed she wasn’t breathing right called ems which I was told had it been any later she wouldn’t be here today. She is no longer there and that’s sad she was excellent at her job and I don’t feel this new staff are as attentive as the old staff, while I visit no one comes and check on her which they never know when we visit for this unhappiness I feel now she’s going to leave as soon as I find another happy place. I’m so sad to do this to my mom but the only thing to keep her there would be to return the old staff completely"

"My friend moved into the memory care of Crystal Creek Assisted Living. She's receiving pretty good care there and they're doing a pretty good job with her. The community is nice and clean, it's bright, and open. The rooms are pretty big, she's in a semi-private room. They provide a big nightstand, a chair, and an armoire, then they provide a cable television, but you gotta provide your own TV. They also have a big bathroom with a walk-in shower and a bar for the toilet, so it's pretty nice. The staff is very friendly. I've had some food and it's actually pretty good. They do activities two times a week, and it's pretty good. Considering other places that I looked at and the prices, I think their price is pretty good."

"Bickford of Canton is nice. I liked it a lot. I think it would be my first choice. It's family-focused and pet friendly like they don't mind visiting dogs. They have studios and apartments. They're on the smaller side, and that's partly because they encourage residents to get out. There are lots of activities. There are lots of little socialization places as well as bigger ones. There's a door to the apartment, but once you're in the apartment, there are no doors, so managing a wheelchair or going around in the wheelchair, you don't have to worry about a door. I found it weird, but at the same time, it makes sense. They take trips into the community. They have transportation that will take you places. They'll go to the symphony or go to a local play. It kind of gives everybody a chance to get out. There are lots of activities, probably more than any of the other ones I saw. The staff were great. They were wonderful. It was clean and homey, and everybody seemed to be happy. "

"I went to Serenity Manor. It's a home with a max of six residents. They have two owners, and one of them lives there. She lives in the upstairs apartment. There is always two to three staff, so you have a great ratio of staff to residents. Currently, none of the residents are ambulatory. Most of them are advanced dementia patients and need to be lifted with a Hoyer. Right now, it's not ideal for them, but that's what they're getting. Right now, advanced memory care is what they're getting now. I couldn't even talk to the patients because they were so demented. It's a higher level of care and a lot of one-on-one. I think one of the rooms is shared. It's extremely clean. When you walk in, you were in the kitchen common area. Off to the right are the dining room and the living room, and then behind the kitchen is an L-shaped hallway with bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, too. It's very clean and very nice. If I had somebody who needed 24-hour care like that, that'd be great. I was impressed with the staff, too. "

"I visited Arden Courts. It was very nice. It was small, and you feel safe in there. The facility was very well-kept. The staff was very accommodating. The rooms were large. The dining area was very homey because they had different sections. It wasn't like a big dining area for everyone. They had a little section where they had a couple of residents from that side of the hallway that were in that area, and then they had somebody to cook the food there, so it was separated. "
