I have been very disappointed in both the rehab rehabilitation, and the full-time nursing care. We have experienced several issues of negligence, such as call lights laying under the bed where the patient could not reach them, medication’s left in cups in the room for hours with no one monitoring them, recently I had a loved one who is in hospice care and was medicated heavily move to a wheelchair and left precariously hanging over the chair in a medicated stupor While they went and did something else. Thank goodness we came in that night and found her as her legs were already turning purple. We had met with management just two weeks before this last incident happened. Very disappointing. I would not send anyone to this facility for anything as obviously the staff doesn’t care.

Grateful to professional staff members at all levels of care that is being received. Care team is skilled and knowledgeable in their jobs! Great skills and bed side manner needed for loved ones in their care. Outstanding care Dad is receiving at Healthcare resort of Olathe. Highly recommend this facility!

My husband is currently in The Healthcare Resort of Olathe. They have not even given him the rehab that he was supposed to have while he was there. There's not a whole lot that I can put on the best side, but the least side - they're lazy. They allowed their rehab department to dictate what goes on with your loved one there. Rehab does not give the OK that the staff can help your loved one the way they should. My husband has lost 30 lbs in the last 2 months. The size of his room is fine. It's very adequate. I did not try their food, but it looks OK. For him, the diet was not sufficient. It's the directors that are in charge of this. And so, the lower grade staff, like the CNAs, can't do their job because they're not allowed to do their job. They were not allowed to help my husband get out of bed because physical therapy people had not given them the OK to get him up to help him walk. It's too much control with the physical therapy. They never once helped him with the walker. They put him in a wheelchair from day one, and he's still in a wheelchair now because he's so weak. I would suggest they fire all of their directors. I think the entire thing needs to be overhauled. They need to be reported to their corporate office. The therapists down there had too much authority, it should be the doctors. The doctors could have stopped this if they wanted to.

Great place to live

My mother has been a resident since 2019. The staff is caring, friendly, and quick to address a problem. They serve a variety of food that is delicious and healthy. Snacks are always on hand. My mother's room is spacious and provides her comfort and safety. The center offers a variety of fun activities such as bingo with nice prizes, and outside BBQs, They also provide free food trucks and also great family nights, I think that Halloween is my favorite. The outside of the building is welcoming and the grounds are well-kept. I could not ask for a nicer place for my mother.

My dad was a resident of The Healthcare Resort of Olathe. If there was a low score of zero, that's what I would give them. It was a horrible experience. They need to improve on cleanliness, responsiveness, and just overall level of care. My dad had a situation where he needed help. He couldn't get up to go to the bathroom, and they weren't checking on him in the middle of the night. He would sit in soiled pants for hours. They would not bring him breakfast until almost 10:00 in the morning sometimes; and there were times at 2:30 in the afternoon where I was having to go search for where his lunch was. The rooms were dark and drab.
