"My friend has moved into here. We like the location, the facility itself, and the marketing person. It's a one-bedroom that we got to furnish for her, and she was able to bring her own things with her. It's a nice-sized room. I have not tasted the food, but she seems satisfied. They have a wide variety of activities, and I saw a calendar. She has not participated in anything yet, but they play games, they have a little theater for movies, they have ice-cream socials and a happy hour every week, they have special events like a Super Bowl party, they do crafts, and there are times when they take the residents out for drives around the city. They have a beauty salon and a gym, and they offer physical therapy. It had everything that we needed for her. It met our needs, so it's a good value."

"I was able to visit Brookdale Wornall Place, and it was excellent. I like the facility. The upkeep was great, and they had a lot of activities. The apartments were lovely. The only thing there is that their washers and dryers were not in the individual apartment. We really like the facility. "

"I elected a two bedroom unit in the Independent Living Space and I love it. The apartment is moderately sized with big closets and nice bathrooms. I have enjoyed my interactions with the staff that I have met,"

"I went to The Madison Senior Living. It was just as good as the other one I saw, the staff was great, the facilities were great, and their rooms were a little larger. Some of the apartments were larger. It was all in one building, which makes a difference, because you didn't have to go from building to building. It looks spotless, it looks really good, and in the spring it's going to be beautiful. They had a dining room, a bistro, and underground parking; I think they had a fee for that. They furnished three meals a day, they gave us dinner to take home, and it was delicious. The staff was really, really knowledgeable, and really good. It opened in August, everything is in good shape, and it's pretty close to brand new."

"It was very nice. They had an assisted living facility and a regular senior living facility. The units were very nice. The community was very nice and new. We saw everything. They had a place to go to church, a place to work out, and they had a nice cafeteria. It was very much up to date. The food was very good. It was very clean and spotless."

"I liked White Oaks at The Groves Senior Living Community. When you go out of your apartment, you get a nice view and I enjoyed that. The rooms looked good and adequate. They had a kitchen with a stove and a refrigerator, but you had to supply everything else. They had a swimming pool in the middle around all the rooms and they had activities available like card games. Everything there was adequate. The staff who assisted me with the tour was very nice. He was the maintenance man, so he was in a hurry."

"We went over to The Princeton Senior Living, and we absolutely love it. It has a lot of amenities for us. They were wonderful and very friendly. They made you feel at home, and they explained everything. The rooms were a good size, and they had one- and two-bedrooms. The entire place was beautiful. We passed by their dining area, and it was really pretty. We have not tried their food, but they said we could. The building was absolutely tip-top, and parking was very easy."

"Our Lady of Mercy will forever be my first recommendation to anyone in the KC area asking about Assisted Living. We moved my grandma there after she was neglected at another facility. The difference in care, culture and community at Our Lady of Mercy was such a breath of fresh air. The staff care so deeply for the residents and treat them like members of their own family. The community of residents is vibrant and fun. This is a special place and the staff here should be so proud of the hard work they do to provide love and dignity to those that deserve it most."

"My sister is here. So far, we're impressed with it. It's new, it's very clean, there are quite a few amenities there, and it's in a good location for her because a lot of the things she needs are just right in that area. It's located in a central location, and the staff seems to be very accommodating. She's only been there for about a month. We're pretty satisfied with it right now. The staff seem to be very friendly and accommodating. She's talked with the dietary department and maintenance. When she has questions about things she can do in the facility, she goes to the front window and talks to the staff there. So, they've been very helpful with her, very supportive. My sister seems to like the food very well. The room is a lot safer than where she'd live. It's set up according to ADA standards, so that makes it feel a lot better. It's smaller, but she has everything in there, the kitchen is just really nice, and it's a full kitchen. She has a washer and dryer in the unit, and that is very nice too. They have bingo, chair aerobics, walking clubs, and they have Bible class. Just the other day when I was there, they were taking a group of them out to the zoo, so they have outings that they can go to. When the staff leaves, they lock the doors. So you have to call up and get permission from whoever's living there to let you in, or I have a key fob so I can come in, but I like the fact that it's safe for the residents there."

"The Parkway Senior Living is very helpful and very caring. If we have a question, they answer it. It's clean and we've been very happy having my in-laws there. The food is good and I haven't heard any complaints from them. It's secure, well taken care of, and smells good. It doesn't smell like a nursing home. It's also updated. They do all kinds of things in the memory care. They have scheduled activities three or four times a day, and then they post videos of them doing the activities on their Facebook page. They've done dancing, games, worship services, Taco Tuesdays, and just all kinds of things. The people are engaged and look like they are having a good time."

"Meadowlark Estates Gracious was beautiful. It's a new place, probably less than a year old. The rooms were beautiful and the staff was friendly. We had a friend there. He enjoyed it and recommended it highly. They have recreational activities and it didn't seem to be short of anything that we would want. And it's just a mile from my stepdaughter's house. "

"I love living here. The apartment is just the right size for me & my pet. That is another reason I love living here is it is very pet friendly. There is a lovely balcony on all the upper floors & patios on the ground floors. The management here is great!! Our manager Jill has gotten our parking lot redone & fixed all the sidewalks which previous management never got done. Jill is very responsive to the residents’ needs & really cares about us. Our maintenance staff Ken is quick to respond to repairs. We have the best housekeeper we have ever had."

"My father has been at Westchester Village of Lenexa's assisted living since February and he's happy there. The place is very clean and up-to-date. There's an exercise room and a hairdresser. They also have bus trips and regular outings to grocery stores, Wal-Mart, and things like that. They provide transport to the doctor's office and doctor's appointments. They also have a preacher who comes in once a week and they do Bible study. The staff seems very attentive and professional. They're very communicative. The rooms are spacious, handicapped-accessible, and in good repair. I have not tried their food but he eats 3 times a day and he is happy with it. Their dining area is restaurant-style and it seems to be nicely done. They're on the high end, but I think I'm getting good value for my money."
