The building is very nice and the rooms are generous in size. There is very good maintenance of the facilities. The staff is friendly, caring and well trained. All seem to work well together. The building is always clean and we'll staffed, even during holidays. There are activities planned throughout the day, even on weekends. Family is always welcome to visit and if concerns arise, staff are quick to respond. Our loved ones has been in several facilities and this is one of the best.

I thought this place would of been nice but just talked to a friend of mine who's mom was there for a week she said her mom wasn't bathed for a week they always blamed it on someone else she was in worse shape when she left there! I thought about going there after my knee surgery glad I didn't ,,,, might of left without a knee! Sad,

I would not let my dog stay at the Village of Avon. My mother was there for 1 day. They charged her for physical therapy that she did not have and the staff did not know what they were doing. My mother had had open heart surgery and they had no idea how to take care on someone in her condition. We had to call an ambulance to come and pick her up from the Village of Avon and the EMT's could not use the door that was closest to her room. She had to be taken to the ER just to be stabilized enough to go back to the hospital.

My father needed skilled nursing for a while, but they didn't have that level of care for him. The staff seemed OK. The facility in general just didn't feel as homey. My mother had been in and out of Village of Avon for some rehab work. He was there for rehab for a while too. He had a pretty nice room, and I liked the layout. They are just kind of a little notch below the others.
