"My parents just moved in to Lakeline Oaks and I am very impressed!! They brought us drinks and a plate of warm cookies as we were moving in. We love it so far - the food is great and they bring it to the room if you don't feel like going down to eat - which is a plus for us. The apartments are roomy and have a full kitchen along with wash and dryer connections. They have so many activities that you could keep busy all day. The staff is so nice and are always there to help. I think that my parents will be very happy there."

"My mom is at The Oaks Gracious Retirement Living. The main thing we liked was that they had meals for her because we didn't want her to cook. We wanted her to be independent but with meals. It was just centrally located for my siblings. There's always room for improvement, but they do a very nice job there. The staff members are very caring and sweet people. They're very good people. I haven't run into anything that displeases me. My mom's diabetic, and they don't have a diabetic menu. At every meal, there are three choices. They just put in new furniture and carpeting. They come in once a week and clean my mom's apartment. They change the sheets and make the bed. My mom is happy. They do arts and crafts, chair volleyball, yoga, and lots of different activities that my mom likes. They're very expensive."

"The tour I had at Highland Estates was great. It's a beautiful place, the kind that I would love to put my mom in if it were income-based, or if the government had a program that could help. Just like where my mom is now, where they have a government program in place that offsets the cost of what room she's in. What I liked most was that it was a clean and beautiful facility, and the people were caring individuals. What I like least is the cost. The staff members I met were very friendly. They had transportation available and events scheduled for the residents. They also had physical therapy and exercise available. It's independent living, but there was no stove, and there's just a microwave, so I'm not sure how they're supposed to cook. They had food, but I can't remember exactly what the schedule was on that. They were in the middle of a remodel, but at the same time, it wasn't completely destroyed in the process of the remodel, and I can see where they were going with it."

"I moved to The Oscar at Georgetown. I've enjoyed it. It's a good move for me. I'm in the studio and I find it very satisfactory. The food is great, and the facility is well taken care of. There's a swimming pool and exercise facility. There are movies. The repair people are very attentive, and if there's something wrong with the facility, they may fix it in a hurry. There are two dining areas, one that's formal and one is less formal. The food is good and there's a great chef here."

"The rooms are spacious and they have all the amenities one could ever want! There are many activities that keep you occupied and keep you from being bored. The staff are very helpful and very nice to work with. The food is excellent and varied to keep your appetite interested!"

"My friend liked The Delaney at Georgetown Village of the three places we went to yesterday. I think it has so many things to offer. I loved the size of it, the cleanliness of it, and all of the activities they had. I liked the fact that they had a registered nurse on duty. There was bingo, there were movies. We saw one of the aides pushing someone in a wheelchair outside on a little walk. It was very nice that they took the time to do that. On our tour every resident spoke to the man that gave us the tour, he knew them all by name, and that's a pretty big outfit. We saw a one-bedroom, very nice, and the size was fine. It was very clean. It was very well-maintained, and the layout, they're just two little rooms, but that's fine. That would work just fine for what my friend was going to need. The food is the best thing about the whole place. It's like going into a lovely restaurant with a waitstaff. They had fresh linens on the table, you can pick between two entrees, and you have a choice of side. You have a choice of three or four desserts, a choice of your drink and then if you don't like any of the specials, you can come over to the other side of the menu. You get a menu and you can have any of the different sandwiches they offer, hamburgers, chicken, you name it, BLT, and salad. I was amazed at the foodservice, and if you don't want to come down and eat, you can come down on your little walker, pick it up, they have it packaged, and take it back up to your little room or apartment, or they will bring it to you if you don't feel like coming down."

"Belmont Village West Lake Hills was a lovely location. I think it's really clean and the residents were well cared for. They had the available space that we were looking for and the facility was in great condition. I think they probably topped the list as far as amenities and activities and so forth. They had quite several activities for residents to participate in and were very interesting. It seemed like they worked with their residents to find things that they would be interested in."

"Brookdale Westlake was very upscale. I popped in without an appointment. The young man who showed me around took the time to introduce me to people, show me some of the facilities and apartments, and answer all pf my questions. I was there for a good 30 minutes. I thought he was very helpful. The grounds were very nicely manicured, and the grounds were very nice. Everybody I met and spoke to was very nice and very cordial. They have outings for the residents, some crafts, an exercise room, sing-a-longs, and they also bring some people in to play the piano. I thought it was neatly situated. "

"It doesn’t have a memory care unit, but it was good. The staff was very knowledgeable. They didn’t seemed very involved with their residents. "

"There are several things that I liked about The Continental Retirement Community. I like the arrangement of the apartment. They are of good size. They have a small kitchen and the people that run it were extremely nice. So far, I am extremely pleased with everything. "

"I visited Village on the Park Onion Creek. They have individual cottages, and my mother-in-law has a dog. They're much more accommodating rather than having to go up and down the elevator five times a day to take the dog outside. The grounds were pretty. The particular cottage we saw was very nice, spacious, and had granite counter tops and a cute little patio. It's just like having a little house rather than living in an apartment. We thought the price was too expensive for what we're looking for. The services were the same as other places, like the transportation and activities are similar, but get more space and a patio. It's a beautiful community."

"Mom is going to move in, and I liked the facility. And what I like most about the place was the people; they just seemed very nice. One of the main things was the lady that I spoke to, her father also is staying there, and that impressed me. The apartments looked like an actual 1-bedroom apartment as opposed to those extended stay hotels; the kitchen is separated from the living room, and the bedroom is separated with a wall. This place has a huge kitchen sink, a dishwasher, a normal size refrigerator, and cabinet space. It’s all set up like a regular apartment. We did eat there, and the food was very good. They have Wii games, movie nights, bingo, card games, and field trips. It’s a very nice place to be. From what I have seen of the rooms, the way people have been taking care of, and how the staff interacts with the residents, I really like it."

"At Trinity Place, their individual cottages were lovely but small. I have too much. I have a king sized bed and it wouldn't even fit in the room. It's too small for me. You have your own yard where you can plant flowers or herbs. The people there were just very kind and welcoming. I would recommend this facility to others. "
