"Maple Ridge Gracious Retirement Living have handle bars all the way down the hallways. People can grab a hold of them in case they fall, which is nice. The building is also less than a mile away from my house and there's a grocery store right next door. They have a nice corner apartment. They got greenery to look out at instead of the highway. The staff members were great. We took the grand tour of everything, and we went back there for their entertainment. They had wonderful music outside, which was very good. The staff was very gracious, and the people living there were happy, which was a biggie."

"I went over to Solstice Senior Living at Austin and had a great tour. I gave them a deposit for a room, and it's been refurbished. Everything's all set. The guy who gave me the tour is top-notch. In fact, I was having transportation issues to get over there and tour the place, so he came and picked me up and took me over there so I could get that accomplished on my first tour. They have big and spacious rooms, and I'm gonna move into a refurbished one. Everything's been just recently completely redone, so it's a brand new residence. It's called a studio, so the bedroom and living room are all in one room. The bedroom is around the corner, though, so you really can't see it. For me and for my needs, it is more than adequate. The time I went over there with my sister, they were actually having a meal, and the dining area was spacious and nice. Sometimes, you can walk into a senior living facility and they have a nursing home smell or feel. Not so for this place. It is clean, spacious, and smells clean. The dining area is well-spaced, so there's plenty of room for everybody. Everybody that I came into contact with, in terms of the staff and the director, is top-notch. They made me feel like I was going to move into a family atmosphere. This place is also ideal because I'm centrally located to where my family is."

"The tour I had at Highland Estates was great. It's a beautiful place, the kind that I would love to put my mom in if it were income-based, or if the government had a program that could help. Just like where my mom is now, where they have a government program in place that offsets the cost of what room she's in. What I liked most was that it was a clean and beautiful facility, and the people were caring individuals. What I like least is the cost. The staff members I met were very friendly. They had transportation available and events scheduled for the residents. They also had physical therapy and exercise available. It's independent living, but there was no stove, and there's just a microwave, so I'm not sure how they're supposed to cook. They had food, but I can't remember exactly what the schedule was on that. They were in the middle of a remodel, but at the same time, it wasn't completely destroyed in the process of the remodel, and I can see where they were going with it."

"My parents have lived at the Clairmont for over three years. They love it there! They have always been treated with respect and have made many friends. The past and present management has been wonderful to them! They have a lovely apartment and any maintenance has been addressed quickly. The staff has been wonderful! "

"My brother has moved into Village on the Park - Onion Creek. It's very well-kept and seems secure. It's very pretty, and outdoorsy. There's not a lot of other buildings around, it's very open. The room was empty, and that's what we're doing right now, trying to get furniture for it. The staff were all very welcoming, very helpful, and always available for questions. They play cards and have happy hour on Fridays at four. They have poker on Tuesdays. They have art classes, movie nights, and all kinds of things. The food is good for you, which means it doesn't taste really good. I think they have to watch the salt and things like that. I would say that's a good variety."

"I’ve been since we opened in 2017 And have been happy here. Have met a lot of nice residents since then. This community is far better than the last community I lived in we do so much more here and have fun and stuff is all great ."

"I liked the look of it and the location. I also liked the fact that my brother goes to church and there's a church at the end of that block. I thought that was all convenient, but before I do any of that, he is going to have to get on Medicaid because his income isn't enough to cover even the efficiency apartment or whatever it is that doesn't even have a separate bedroom (the bed would actually be in the living room). I liked the fact that they had so many activities there and it was a very tranquil setting. It didn't have the appearance of a nursing home type facility. It is independent living, but they have medical staff there that comes in occasionally. I also liked the fact that there was an emergency center right across the street so that if there was any kind of emergency, they could just be shuttled right across the street for care. The staff during the tour had been there eight years. She'd been there long enough to kind of know the place pretty well, and know the people who lived there, and kind of give me an idea of how people adjust when they get there. They take them on field trips and stuff like that. The only thing I noticed was they had a gym there and they had a TV in the gym, which I thought was nice, but they only had one exercise bike there, so only one person at a time could exercise. It may be sufficient, but I feel like if somebody walked over there and then they couldn't get on the exercise bike, that they would just turn around and leave and not exercise for the day."

"I visited The Oaks. It is a lovely place. It is a brand-new place. The rooms were very nice. The staff was very, very nice. I like this place very much. They have gathering places along the hallways where people can do jigsaw puzzles or any number of other things. The atmosphere was lovely. "

"I moved to The Oscar at Georgetown. My apartment is very nice and very comfortable. The food is good. They've got a variety of food to eat. The facility is very clean. The staff is friendly and nice."

"The rooms are spacious and complete from the smallest to the largest. The staff is professional, courteous, knowledgeable give you all the time necessary to see the facility complete with activities to fill all day everyday to include restaurant, pool, library, computer room, theatre, wellness room and many more amenities. You need to visit to get the complete tour. "

"Both the staff and the facility are first class. The staff is competent and caring and the facility is warm, home-like, spacious. There are activities nearly every day; music, movies, games, puzzles, etc. "

"I will be moving into The Enclave at Cedar Park. It had all the amenities that I really requested at a price that I could afford. What I particularly wanted was basically a full kitchen with a refrigerator and cooktop. Also, I needed a washer and dryer in the unit, and they have that there. Plus, I was very interested in just being in a more pleasant environment. The staff member was very, very professional, very kind, and answered all our questions. I didn't try their meals, but knowing who the chef is, I have no qualms about that. Just like every place else they have a library, an exercise room, and a really nice green area where you can go and sit in the garden. Overall, it's a very pleasant place to be. They have a very nice dining room. Just very pleasant."
