"Belmont Village West Lake Hills was definitely clean and the people were very welcoming. The staff and the residents were sweet. My sister was with me, and we met with the director, the coordinator, and the nurse. They were all knowledgeable, except in a couple of areas they had to check on. They said they were gonna let me know if we could do this or that, but we never heard from them. It's a big facility and has a welcoming environment. They have a pool, and definitely a lot of activities for the residents. It looked like a fun place to be."

"The grounds are well cared for, the accommodations are comfortable and appropriate, but it's the staff that makes Clairmont stand out among the competition; particularly Joanne and her husband Carson. Joanne makes each resident feel special and a part of a supportive community. She's the best. And the food is exceptionally good. You owe it to your loved one to check this facility out. "

"I saw Maple Ridge in Cedar Park. We stayed in the independent living as guests. It was pretty new, I think it was maybe built 1 or 2 years ago. The place is very nicely built and very clean. I like it but not as much as I like the other place we visited. The guest room that we saw was too small, it's like a studio and it's very small and very uncomfortable for those 2 days we stayed there. The staff was very good, they're wonderful. I was not able to see any other apartments there but they have a very nice dining area, it's very sociable. It's built that you can socialize with people if you wanted to."

"I put my name in Creekside Villas Senior Village because every other place I called was way too expensive for my budget. It's a nice place. My first impression was very nice because it's outside of Austin, so you're more in a country area but it's a little town. The building that we went into and had the interview with had a big area where they did get-togethers with all the chairs and tables and there's like a kitchen there. There's a really nice theater room, and they had a small room for computers and printers that residents could use. They also talked about planned monthly activities that you could attend. The person who gave the tour was very, very nice and she talked to my granddaughter first so she knew what we wanted. They had a 1-bedroom 1-bath, a 2-bedroom 1 bath, and a 2-bedroom 2-bath that you can pick from. Each apartment has its own kitchen, stainless steel smart start appliances, granite countertops in the kitchen and bath, a refrigerator with ice maker, and a dishwasher, and they have facilities in the apartment for a full-sized washer and dryer."

"Dawn personal care home is truly a home away from home! The rooms are spacious and well kept, large living and dining area and an amazing backyard for activities. The owner was wonderful and makes sure all the residents are well taken of. Stellar service! "

"I am currently living in The Overlook at Plum Creek. I'm not happy here because since we had water damage to the complete apartment we were in, back in February, which was on the second floor. They moved us into a single-story building that they call cottages. There are five apartments per building, they had to relocate us into this. I would say the apartment's okay. We've done apartment living since, but the activities here are very few, mostly due to covid. They're opening some activities every month. One of the big disappointments has been, and people here complain about it a lot because there is a swimming pool. It's not too big, but they have not opened it up yet. They keep telling the residents, maybe next month, and we're going into September. Likely, they won't open up the pool at this point. They do have a gym that has some equipment. They have a craft room that was not open. The gym is open, but being mostly elderly people here, I don't know that it's used very much. The property is kept up nice. It's the landscaping. People are here on a regular, weekly basis. It's a very nice-looking community. But you're either going to participate in some activities or pretty much kind of isolate yourself. So, I do not plan to stay here for a lot of those reasons. They've had a constant change of employees since we've been here in late January. The two people who are currently here are very courteous and try to be as helpful as they can be. They do everything they can if you need any type of help. All you have to do is call or go by the office. As far as some minor maintenance in the apartment or cottage, it gets down fairly fast. There is no dining here. It's independent living, so you do your meals. There's not much going on. They did start a bingo, and it ended up being just a big mess, people fighting each other. I attended twice and I just didn't need that kind of stuff. They finally opened up a public bathroom and in the general office area, for people who need to, because there are three floors and the elevators are slow. Someone has to go all the way to the third floor to go use the bathroom or restroom. Outside of that, not good but what you need is here. I truly believe they're over-priced, but the rental in this area, the rents were being raised everywhere. You can't get away from the high- dollar rent. We were able to pay it because Medicaid is paying its medical costs out of his retirement and Social Security."

"Everything is fine here at Cobblestone. You have to be 62 and your rent is calculated according to your income level. I like the place as it is sponsored by National Churches. They’re quite strict on what they expect from you. There is no discrimination or anything, as long as you meet the standards and sign the papers. There are apartments and rooms with kitchen appliances. We have an association and we have something every month like volunteering. I moved in 18 months ago and the people are very nice. We just get along here like a big family. The property manager and the maintenance man were all very nice. "

"I will be moving in Friday at The Wellington. It is a number of duplexes there, it's one level -- which is so much easier on me -- and it is a gated community. We have a full-service kitchen which I have missed today. They served breakfast on Monday, Wednesdays, and Fridays only, which is fine with me because I like to cook. They have washers and dryers in the room, and all the appliances are furnished. We have 2-bedroom, 2-bath, there is a walk-in closet in the master bedroom and three closets in the second bedroom. It’s one of the nicest complexes I have ever seen. The people who showed us around -- the assistant manager -- is bubbly and friendly, and when you meet her, you’ve known her your whole life. "

"We got a two-bedroon with one-bath room apartment here in Stone Brook Senior Community that we are very pleased with. It is such a nice place. The manager and the assistant manager are adorable people. The staff is great. The maintenance man is always delightful and has a smile on his face all the time. We have water boating, various games, bingo twice a week and there's a poker and billiard club here too. We dine out and there's transportation available if you need it to go to the grocery store or your doctor's appointment. It's perfect for us right now and we are just enjoying it a great deal. "

"I toured The Village at The Triangle. I liked the food. It was made-to-order food, and it was nice. They were saying that for dinner, they are more crowded, but the day I went, even for lunch, it was a little crowded. I believe that's very unusual, but it was good. The service was excellent. The apartment was very nice, and that's exactly what I want. It's very clean. The person who gave the tour was good."

"My father has moved into Overture Mueller. They have really good amenities there. They have a pool, the apartments are fairly new, and I really like the staff. They're very friendly and super helpful. I was very impressed with them. Everything's been good. They're doing the activities online, and they social distance from other people. They offer a meal a day, but they're delivering it to their doors instead of having the people come downstairs."

"When Mom was at Mariposa at Hunter Road, she was very happy with the service they had there. The management was great. They had the hallways enclosed. They keep the grounds very clean and pretty. They're also very responsive to the seniors. I know Mom was always talking about different events that were going on there that she was happy with. They have a lot of activities planned, especially with the university right there. A lot of university students come and do performances."
