I had an horrible experience with the care in assisted living at The Oscar for my mother. After experiencing issues with medication mismanagement, failure to follow through with contractual services and care plan components, and refusal to provide complete medication administration records when problems were discovered I chose to move my mom to another facility. Even on the date of move out medication mismanagement continued to occur-they gave me another residents medication!! The difference in her and in her care is amazing and became obvious very quickly in the new facility.

I went to The Oscar at Georgetown and toured for independent living. The facility was very nice, and the gentleman in the marketing department was lovely. The manager was also very nice. He came out very friendly and called me a couple of times before the tour. He was very nice and showed me all around. I also went to lunch there and it was horrible. We went to a snack bar, and the person who gave the tour had lunch with me there. We had a choice between what they had for breakfast, or two choices of sandwiches, that was it. I wouldn't say it was a meal, just a snack. However, I heard the place for dinner is very nice and the food is good at dinner. The place is brand new so there's hardly anybody living there now, but it is lovely and very clean. They even have an indoor swimming pool. It's also very expensive.

I moved to The Oscar at Georgetown. My apartment is very nice and very comfortable. The food is good. They've got a variety of food to eat. The facility is very clean. The staff is friendly and nice.

I moved to The Oscar at Georgetown. I've enjoyed it. It's a good move for me. I'm in the studio and I find it very satisfactory. The food is great, and the facility is well taken care of. There's a swimming pool and exercise facility. There are movies. The repair people are very attentive, and if there's something wrong with the facility, they may fix it in a hurry. There are two dining areas, one that's formal and one is less formal. The food is good and there's a great chef here.

The Oscar at Georgetown is new and modern. The staff was very friendly and informative. The apartments would meet my mom's needs. I didn't observe any activities, but the amenities were provided, and all of the necessities, like the meal plan and cleaning services, which is what I was really looking for. If I were to go to a place, that's probably where I would go.
