"I liked Parkview very much. There were people all over doing things. Their swimming pool was absolutely outstanding. They had a beauty salon and a lot of activities. Different people taught classes on odd things, which is terrific because that's interesting. They served all three meals but breakfast is always available, and then you choose either lunch or dinner. The place is lovely and I saw three different apartments, most of which had decks. The food was delicious."

"We moved into Solstice Senior Living at Plano. Everyone here is very friendly and outgoing. Generally, I like the people here. The ones that are in charge are really concerned about our welfare, really caring, and interested in how we feel and what's going on with us. Our room is comfortable, adequate, and nice. We haven't had any bad food yet at all. It's very good. It's very comfortable, clean, warm, and inviting."

"I toured The Waterford at Plano. I liked it, but it cost more than what I made. Everything there I've got access to. The size of the apartment, as far as for me, works out perfectly. I don't have much stuff, so I don't need a big room. They supply a microwave. They have a sink and a bathroom. One bedroom is pretty nice, but they're out of my price range. They were all polite. I couldn't ask for better people to talk to."

"My aunt will be moving into The Conservatory at Plano. The staff was outstanding, very friendly, and knowledgeable. They answered all of our questions. They gave a good tour of the facilities and told us about all the amenities. The facility was beautiful. I loved all the amenities. The apartment units were all very nice. I didn't try the food, but my aunt and my cousin tried it, and they said it was delicious. My aunt is so excited to be moving there. She can't wait. She loved it."

"My sister and I went to Sunrise of Plano. It was beautiful. It was very nice and very spacious. They have a lot of areas, like a hair salon and a place to watch movies, so it's very nice. The people were very nice, but not a lot of them speak Spanish. The common areas were very nice, spacious, and clean."

"Atria Canyon Creek is excellent. We're very happy here. The staff is very friendly and they try to be accommodating. They offer good service. The opportunities to interact and socialize with other residents are high. The food is outstanding. The size of our room is very good. Cleanliness is good. They have swimming, theater, movies, and all kinds of games. Although my husband and I don't participate, there is a happy hour. We enjoy the community church service. They have special programs for special holidays and events. The dining area is very good."

"Atlas Point at Prestonwood attends to you very quickly, and they seem to care very much about your everyday living. They seem to pick the very food that's going to taste good and that's going to be appealing to each and every resident. It's always very, very clean, always upkept, and very, very spacious. They have good activities for all seniors that they can follow along with, and the administrator makes sure that they are well attended to. The value for the money is very, very good. It's pretty comparable to everybody around the Carrollton area."

"Firewheel Town Village was nice. It's a newer place. They have a dining room, a Zen Garden, and a gym. The staff was very nice and very professional. The dining room was spacious, and they had some big screen TVs on the wall. Cleanliness and upkeep were good. They don't have individual water heaters though. They have a boiler and I thought that was unusual. Their balconies have outlets on them and that's important for me. I want to put stuff on my balcony that might require power."

"I'm at The Wellington at Arapaho. It is convenient. The people are very nice, the staff is very nice and I have been very comfortable here. I like the activities director. I like the people in the reception area. Their attitude has been wonderful. The food is improving. They're working on the taste and the presentation. The housekeepers are excellent. The maintenance man has been on top of things all the time. Anything I have requested, he has fulfilled quickly. The activity director has arranged activities that would appeal to a lot of people. We have people that like to read and we have a book group. People that like to do crafts have a craft group. I particularly like the bingo and the brain tease. There are different programs for different people. They do an excellent job."

"Atria Carrollton was just as nice as the other place, but the location was good because it's near to where I'm living now and it's convenient. The staff was friendly and detail-oriented. They offered food, but I didn't try it. This facility was probably the largest out of all the ones that we looked at."

"We toured Discovery Village At Castle Hills. We liked it very much. It was our favorite. It had a nice apartment. The rooms were lovely and great, and the size was good. Everybody was super friendly, and they had wonderful amenities. They have a pool, which I like. Outside of the pool, I thought that the amenities were pretty typical of all the others in terms of being full of activity and full of things to do, but I was more impressed with the Discovery Village than the other two. I didn't see anything that I didn't like. It was just the closets that I didn't think were wonderful, and they didn't have double sinks in the bathroom. Another thing I liked about Discovery Village was that it had a washer and dryer and covered parking, which was reasonable. Stephanie was great, very informative, and organized. I also liked their dinner hours. They had breakfast and then dinner or lunch combined from 11:30 to 6:00, which was cool."
