The tour at Pioneer Ridge Gracious Retirement Living was a very nice experience. They did not have the full kitchens that we were looking for. They have services but not kitchens. The staff who gave the tour was very helpful and very nice. The rooms don't have kitchens, and that was a show-stopper. The facility is very nice and well-maintained. We didn't try the food but the dining area was very good, very nice, and very attractive. They had gardens and they overlook a golf course, so the balconies were able to see some of those things, which were very attractive.

Pioneer Ridge is located in the Stonebridge area of McKinney, next to the Stonebridge Golf Course. We are close to shopping, restaurants, and medical facilities. Pioneer Ridge is an all-inclusive aging-in-place independent living community, featuring two managing couples who live onsite to provide comfort and safety 24/7. Our culinary team provides 3 made from scratch meals daily. Our housekeeping team cleans your apartment weekly, and can provide fresh linens and towels each week. We take care of all of your maintenance needs, and your rent includes all utilities (except phone), TV, and internet. We have a busy activity calendar daily, and weekly outings to local restaurants, and places of interest. Our bus provides transportation to doctor appointments, errands, and outings Monday through Friday.

Pioneer Ridge Gracious Retirement Living is very nice looking and upscale. The staff is friendly and helpful. My main problem is trying to get out of bed on my own which they assist me with. The food I have had was good. They have a full slate of activities and twice a week they have shopping outings. They also have some exercise classes and some organized field trips.

The food was very good at Pioneer Ridge; however, they were not able to show me a room. The residents I talked to were very good, and we had a good conversation. It's number one on my list so far.

The nurse that comes to see my father recommended Pioneer Ridge. It was very nice, clean, and well maintained. They had movies, games night, and transportation to different places. The people we met with were very nice, but they didn’t have a two-bedroom apartment available, and they were not sure when one would become available. They had a library, a movie area, beauty shop, and a game room.

I have moved to Pioneer Ridge. The place is very clean and very open. It was built in 2014. They provide meals. They also have somebody who makes your bed and clean your apartment. Washer and dryers are available, too. There is a bistro that if you want to make something they order the food for you free of charge. They do have an exercise room.

Pioneer Ridge was fine, except the food wasn’t as good as it should have been. It was very nice. I stayed for a few days just to rest, so I didn’t do much, but there’s a considerable amount of activities to do there. The staff was wonderful. I liked the comfort, the safety, and having people to interact with.

I’ve visited Pioneer Ridge. They have everything that I can think of wanting, like a nice movie theater, a game room, and a really nice dining room. Everything that I saw there was really nice, except for the food.

We found Pioneer Ridge for my mom, and we’re happy with it. We like it a whole lot. Everything is great. My mom is happy. Right now, there aren't any improvements that need to be done. She has just moved in, so we’re in the beginning stages, but everything is going great so far. They’re very kind people.

I was very impressed with Pioneer Ridge. It was new, appeared to be well-run, and the residents seemed happy. We spoke to the residents; they liked the facility and the food. The dining facility was bright and cheerful. The manager who gave the tour was very knowledgeable.

I visited Pioneer Ridge. It was one of my top two. I would highly recommend it. When I visited it, there were people playing games, reading in the library, and working on the computer. It was beautiful, well-kept, and managed.

Pioneer Ridge Gracious Retirement Living was fabulous. Great amenities and home cooked meals; they make all their meals from scratch. Their dining area was very nice. They have a gym, a movie theater, and 24-hour ice cream. I liked the way they approached me. I thought it was really a nice facility.
