"Villa Bella of Clinton Township is beautiful. It's very nice. People were very friendly, very personable, and very patient. It's a great location and a great facility. It is very spacious and very nice. They had a lot of different things. They had movies. They had games. They had an assortment of different things, and my parents liked cards."

"The people at Pine Ridge of Garfield were friendly. We liked that there was a courtyard for gardening. We liked the apartments, and we liked the choices in the food department. We did try a meal. They were painting and updating everything, so that looked nice. They offer freshly prepared from scratch soups every day. We saw some common areas, but I wasn't really impressed with them because they were very small."

"I toured American House Lakeshore. The building was six years old, so it's brand new, beautifully decorated with wonderful amenities. The rooms were very nice. Expensive. I met three people there: the receptionist, the tour guide, and a bartender. They were very helpful, very kind. They saw me at the last minute."

"I went to visit American House East II. It seemed to be pretty clean. They seemed like they were pretty attentive to the patients there, although the cost was just too expensive. I saw one of the rooms. They have shared rooms and they have single, apartment-style rooms; they are like a small efficiency-type apartment. The room is clean. There is not a lot of space, but when you're getting older and you're sickly, I don't think you care about space. The one thing I did see that I liked was that it was very clean, and that's very important. They have a library of sorts, and they have a person who comes in and does their hair. It was like a small beauty parlor; it's one room with a chair. They also do activities like arts and crafts, they have games and things, and they watch movies. They have different things like that. It feels pretty homey, and maybe even comfortable. The staff seemed to be really nice. They seemed to be very polite and very understanding. I thought the place was very clean."

"I visited American House East I in Roseville. We wanted a 2-bedroom and looked at the independent living. The apartment itself was very nice, but the walk from your car to get in was awfully long when you're trying to unload groceries or something. I didn't like that about it. The apartment had 2 bedrooms, a bathroom, and a very nice kitchen. It's just that you have to park your car so far away. The person that gave the tour was very helpful and very nice. The place was very nice. Everything is nice except for the walk. It was pleasant looking and decorated very nicely. I didn't go into the activities that much because I was not interested in them. It wasn't what I was looking for. At this point, I don't want to go play bingo or anything. They did have things like that. I just didn't get into it because it wasn't a concern for me. We walked in the lobby and I assume that's where they eat, but I don't know if there was a separate dining area or not."

"I toured American House East I Villas. It was wonderful. The administrator or the contact person was very knowledgeable and helpful in answering questions. She was very kind in showing me the property and explaining everything. The apartments were beautiful and orderly. It was set up wonderfully. I was able to see the dining area and I was very impressed. The lounge area was great. They have plenty of room for people to move around, whether in a wheelchair, walker, or whatever."

"I really like Pine Ridge of Plumbrook. I have no complaints at all. My uncle's apartment is very nice, open, wheelchair accessible, and very clean; it's just perfect for him. The staff members are just awesome people, very friendly, and supportive, which is just the highest level of a compliment I could give them. They have several different activities for him to do, but right now, due to COVID, everything isn't open for everyone to go in there. I highly recommend this place. Anything they can do to make him comfortable, they're definitely doing."

"I looked for a place for my mom and visited American House Sterling Woods Senior Living. The place was clean and the hallways were very pleasant. They had good sized rooms and I liked the kitchen and courtyard. Everyone seemed involved in the activities. I was not able to try the food since I was on a special diet, but it looked fine. I knew some of the residents who lived there and if they did not like the food, they made something else for them. They did not have any complaints at all. "

"I have found the ShorePointe Village community, welcoming, compassionate, flexible and very accommodating. Their attention to detail has been so appreciated. They take a keen interest in each and every one of their residents. In addition, the surroundings, amenities and grounds are "top notch". My mother has been a resident there for a short period of time, but I feel very comfortable with the ShorePointe approach to living with assistance!"

"I went to American House Sterling Heights, and I liked that one. I feel that if we do decide to go down this route, then I'm going to choose that one. It was amazing. The staff was great. The tour was super nice. I think it was the staff that made a big impression on me. I could tell when I came in that they cared about the patients that reside there, and that it was like a big family and not just like a nursing home. As for the unit, there was a bathroom, there was an option with one bedroom, and there was a studio option. They also had like a mini kitchen. I don't believe they have a cooktop, but they have a sink and they said you can bring in a microwave. The staff was very upbeat and very fun. She knew what she was talking about. She knew all the patients, and the patients seemed to love her. Everything that I saw was good. When we left, they gave us a complimentary pie, but we didn't try any of the food. They said that they cook all the stuff there, so it's all home-cooked meals. There are a bunch of sitting areas. They have a separate room where they could go and watch TV. They have like a little movie theater that they had made. They have a place where they can play games. They have a bunch of stuff set up for them to do if they want to. "

"American House Sterling Woods seemed nice, and I think it would fulfill my brother's needs, but I'm not sure if my brother is able to move into a place like that where he would be living with other people because he's been living alone for quite a while. The staff seemed very helpful. The meal preparation and the eating areas were very nice. I looked at a one-bedroom, and it was very nice. The kitchen, the living room, the bathroom, and the bedroom were nice. It looked like a small hotel room."

"Town Village was very nice, and I liked that. The people were very nice, their food was very good, but there's no washer and dryer in the room. The 1-bedroom was small. The dining area was very nice, and they were doing food demonstration. I know somebody who lived there, and she's very happy there. The staff seemed very friendly, and the director who took me around was amazing."

"We toured Pine Ridge Villas of Shelby and I liked everything about it. I liked it right from the very beginning, the staff was very welcoming and the facility itself is very nice. I was taken for a very thorough tour, I was quite impressed right away. And that's where I'm taking mom back to go visit because I first went by myself. The rooms were nice, they were nice apartments, and I was impressed. I like the fact that the bathtub had a cutout so that she could just step in easily into the bathtub. It was spacious, it was very roomy, the dining area was big and it was clean. It was nice because she would have access to coffee and tea 24-7. They had residents socializing everywhere in the whole facility, it was very nice. The atmosphere was very welcoming. They had a sign that welcomed me and my mom and they greeted me right away. I don't have words to describe it, I just was very impressed with it overall without a doubt."
