"My mother in-law is in StoryPoint Chesterfield. I have had experience with different places and I find that the activities and care that they give here is so much better. It's a step above. It's so much fun to be here. The staff is very good and very caring. The only place they have any problem ever is, it seems like the wait staff in the dining room is always very young that has obviously never been a waitress before. They don't do two things at once and four things at once, like a good waitress at a Coney Island would do, but they get it all done. There's enough of them. They just don't work very well and they're learning still. The actual staff that moves people, that runs the activities, that takes them on the bus trips, and all of that, they are quick to respond with a smile on their face and just great people. They have good menus with a good variety. I think because of the wait people, sometimes things are a little bit cold and you got to send the soup back. Once a month, they have a meeting where the residents and family can come in and give suggestions and praises to the cook and the staff and they actually can recommend that they want something. They have a veterans' breakfast once a month and it's a fantastic breakfast spread. Family eats for free, along with the residents. They have a thing called Waffle Wednesday. They have waffles and breakfast meats and unbelievably good fruit. They had a fantastic spread for a brunch but that one we had to pay for. It was all St. Patty's Day Irish theme and good Irish food that they cook there. They keep things fresh that way. It's clean and like brand new. There's not a scratch on the wall. The maintenance staff is very quick. I had to complain about a flickering light and the guy said, "I'll put you on the list. We'll be right there." It wouldn't surprise me if they've already done it or they're in there doing it. It's not just changing a bulb. They're actually going to be changing the entire fixture. They're definitely good. They have a weekly happy hour with entertainment two days a week, Tuesday and Thursday. They're really amazingly decent people. They're not just somebody from the local town. Some of them travel around. One of them has recorded an album as a backup singer and guitarist for a famous woman singer. Once a week, they go to the grocery stores and a trip to the pharmacies. We went to a famous Irish pub, but the people have to pay for their own meals. A couple of months ago, they went to some really fancy Mexican place. On St. Patty's Day, they had punch and all kinds of green things, green necklaces and hats for people to wear, did contest, gave away little prizes, and sing-along. The very next day was the happy hour. For Valentine's Day, everybody was invited to tell a story about their loved one. They had a contest of whose story was the best and they had some very upscale hors d'oeuvres. There's exercise every day. They have different plans, but she's on a plan where dinner only is included. When you take into account the fact that she doesn't have a cable bill and utility bill like she had at home, she'll have staff that'll come if she fell and people that are watching out for her in general, the value for money is amazing."
