Warrenville Horizon

Warrenville Horizon is a very nice place. There are some activities going on here. Like we have a workout room that my husband and I use. People are fun to be with. Tomorrow night, we're going to go up and play a game with another couple and a couple of other ladies. We only have one staff person here and a guy who cleans, and they're both great. It's a brand-new building. We were one of the first people in it and it is very clean. We do crafts and garage sales where we sell stuff. The money goes into our community fund so we can have parties, like St. Paddy's Day party with corned beef, cabbage, and potatoes. It's not going to be out of our pocket. We also do puzzles, monthly meetings, and dinner/lunch with the people and just have a good time together. There's Breakfast Club, a book club, a library, and a movie room with a popcorn maker. A nurse comes in twice a month and a podiatrist every 2 or 3 months. Their price is just a little high for the small apartments. The two bedrooms are big, but the one bedrooms are average.

Resident

This is a fully independent living apartment building for seniors. Very nice, clean and safe apartments. There are one or two bedroom apartments. Main areas include a living room, library, movie room, small gym and community room . The residents and management coordinate a number of events such as bingo, chair exercise classes, holiday parties, trips to nearby restaurants, etc

Zelane

I toured Warrenville Horizon. It was new so everything still looked very good, and it was well designed. They were kind of small, but they were very well appointed. The bathrooms were very large, and they were accessible. They were made so that if you were in a wheelchair or something, you had room to move around. People lived there, but it was quiet. It just appeared to be very well managed. They don't serve food. But they have a fitness room, laundry rooms on each floor, and community rooms. They have some activities like bingo, and I think they have workshops, although I wasn't able to see them at that time. It was nice and it was the most secure building that I saw.
