We moved into Sunrise at Fountain Square. Overall, it's been very positive. I find that we are getting better service and better amenities than the community where we lived before. It's a very welcoming place. People call you by name, even residents. It's shocking, but very much appreciated. The dining room rivals that of an expensive restaurant. It's everything from the linen tablecloths to the chef coming by and talking to you personally and asking about your needs, the servers knowing what you want and just bringing it to you. We were kind of amazed and pleasantly surprised. The concierge is very welcoming, and can do all sorts of things for you - from work orders to sign-in/sign-out. The bistro has a continental breakfast. If you are around at lunchtime, you will get homemade soup that is out of sight. You can also add your own sandwiches. They have fruits available. They have everything that you need. Dinner has two seatings, 4:30 and 6:00. The food is made from scratch and your dietary needs are attended to. There's housekeeping every week, and it's very good housekeeping. Maintenance is very responsive. They put up our curtain rods for us and made us feel at home. The whole building feels like home. There are lots of books, people exercising and participating in different talks and different games. I haven't seen anybody who's frowny in the three weeks that I've lived here. Considering what we've seen everywhere and where we lived before, I would consider Sunrise at Fountain Square as the best possible choice.

I toured Sunrise at Fountain Square. The place was older. It didn't look clean. They have one-bedrooms. They have an exercise room and a TV room. There wasn't that much they had to offer.

We took a tour of Sunrise at Fountain Square. We had a wonderful time when we met with the woman who gave us the tour. When we were looking around, they were all being very well taken care of. There were Spanish-speaking residents there, and they told me that they have Spanish-speaking staff as well. There was a doctor on site 24/7 as well as nurses and CNAs, so this is exactly what my parents need right now. The staff who gave the tour was fantastic. We were impressed with the cleanliness and everything.

Sunrise at Fountain Square was very, very nice and very friendly. Probably, that's where I would go. The people were excellent. When I was there, I noticed activities that were going on. There were activities upstairs and I could see the participation of people doing physical exercises. In the coffee shop, they had a game going on and the participants were volunteer people who were coming down early for dinner and they were playing a game. Then there were people in the hallways that were talking with each other and it was an excellent environment that I would like to live in.

Sunrise at Fountain Square is fantastic. I love it. It's very, very nice. My parents love it there, too. They check up on them, they make sure everything's fine and going through this whole COVID situation and everything, they're very proactive. If anybody had COVID, they would start taking tests and everything like that. They keep a nice distance, but they keep a nice watchful eye on them. They have a two-bedroom with a full kitchen and everything, but they don't even use the kitchen that much because they use the meals that are supplied by Sunrise. The dining area is very nice. They have a nice fireplace down there. It's on the first floor and it outlooks to a nice little garden area and the service there is fantastic. The food is very good. There are lots of choices. They do a very good job with maintenance and upkeep. They repainted everything and redid the carpeting before they moved in. Everything is very up-to-date and very clean. You name it, they have it. It's like being on a cruise, but on land. You can participate if you want or you don't have to participate. The activities are all down in the main common area next to the dining room. There are so many things that they can be doing. The staff is very nice. I've only been there a couple of times and it's been very good. The facility is beautiful, nice, and clean. It is a little pricey, but with what they're getting, it's probably right in line with what is expected nowadays.

Staff are a gem! They take time to help me in the morning with brushing my teeth and hair. Hard to get them back tho after they move on to next person. There are call lights but takes a long time. Nurses are overworked just focusing on passing medications. Rooms are spacious enough, those who have been there should get a yearly “deep clean”. The building is old and style hasn’t been kept up the best. Staff keeps leaving due to executive director Bridget. Nurse is advertised as 24 hr but often no overnight nurse. They just can’t keep help due to Bridget. This has been ongoing issue since she arrived, and I can only assume she blames turnover on other people because she’s still there. I know corporations monitor those things. Activities are fun we have sing a longs, bus trips occasionally, bingo, etc. independent living side is best price if you can. Just know there is no care or nursing staff on independent side. The sales team can get you better prices if you are willing to walk away. Like with a car.

The Sunrise at Fountain Square was very inviting, warm, and very welcoming. The staff was very friendly and warm too. They had a movie area and a large dining room area. The room I saw was spacious, it had a lot of room, a walk-in closet, and a walk-in shower for my mom. She's a senior so those are the things that I was looking for. The community had those pull cords in the room. It was a very secure safety feature that I noticed. I toured their assisted living and I found the place to be very clean, sanitized, and looked like everything was in its place. It looked like everyone was pretty much happy there when I met the staff and some of the patrons that are residents there. I didn't walk into any smell or anything like that, and no garbage or trash that was visible so everything looked like it was being kept to the best of their ability.

Sunrise at Fountain Square is a very friendly and beautiful place. It looks like a very caring place. The person who gave me the tour was fabulous. I'm just starting to look for nursing homes, so she gave me great information and resources that I can follow up with. The building itself is very clean and very nice. They had a patio and a courtyard. The room was also very nice, very clean, not like state of the art modern, but very up to date. It was very old. They were very nice rooms.

Sunrise at Fountain Square is currently in the lead among the communities that I prefer. I went in there looking for assisted living. I liked the floor plan and they're the closest one geographically too. The staff had a wonderful personality and she was very helpful and so forthcoming. The facility seemed fine but a little disadvantage these days is that they're almost in lockdown, which you have to look past. Like the dining room was all single-person dining. They talk about camaraderie and meeting other people but how do you meet other people when dining is a table for one? Other than that, I'm personally impressed with the community.

My mom has been in Sunrise at Fountain Square for seven years. It's a very nice community, and she enjoys living there very much. I know she prefers not to leave, but there will have to be some pricing changes made in order for her to stay there. She likes the food, too. She's got a one-bedroom, and it's very nice. The property is very clean and well taken care of inside and out.

Sunrise at Fountain Square is lovely. There are lots of really nice things. However, they don't have any 2-bedroom rooms. There are studios or one-bedrooms, but they're very small. The staff members are wonderful. It is a nice place. The food is very nice. They also have a beautiful dog who belongs to the house that loves everybody. They have lots of activities and a very nice library. They also have a book club, which is appealing to me. They do lots of extra things, too. It is a very good location, but it is a very big place. Their food is very good.

I found Sunrise at Fountain Square to be very welcoming. We liked it because the independent living wing was not too large. The marketing director was absolutely wonderful. The facility was quite lovely. What we really noticed was the openness and friendliness of the residents. We went back there three times and each time there would be somebody walking by who would say, "Are you considering Sunrise? You will not regret it. It's the best thing we ever did. We are so happy here." Men would approach my husband and tell him, "Don't hesitate to come here. You're going to like it, and the food is good." It put my husband at ease that other men were very happy there. They had a whole list of things that they offer for activities, a craft club, a men's club, workout room, exercise classes, and people who come in and do entertainment or presentations. They had a woman there who did a lot of the artwork that's displayed in the hall. It really impressed me. We stayed for a meal, and it was very good. It's easy to find your way around there the way they have it laid out.

My mother-in-law is in Sunrise at Fountain Square. It's very clean, it has great food, and there are lot of things for the residents to do. Just the other day, she had mentioned she wanted to go on this bus trip to a veterans home, and she wasn't downstairs when the bus was going to be there, so the lady came up and asked her if she wanted to go on this trip. She has what's considered as a 2-bedroom. She's using just one bedroom and she has a living room. It's very well maintained. The grounds are impeccable. Maintenance is beautiful. They just changed all the carpeting on the third floor, and the guy told me that this was an every couple year project they go through where they redo all the carpeting. The cleanliness is great. Based on what we saw and when we were looking, the value is very good.

Sunrise of Fountain Square was lovely. The girl that took me on the tour was very knowledgeable about the organization and about the facility. She took me to see practically everything. She was warm and friendly. I liked the facility. It was just a little more expensive than the other one I visited. The place was clean. The residents that I saw that were out and about seemed like they enjoyed being there. They served three meals a day. They had transportation to doctor's appointments. They had the opportunity to engage in some social activities.

Sunrise at Fountain Square was OK and seemed like a nice and beautiful place. It wasn’t so inviting, though, and I didn't get a very warm feeling from the staff. It seemed like they have a bunch of activities.

We visited Sunrise at Fountain Square. I did not like the rooms there nor the programs for Mom. They had studio-type apatments. When I visited, the staff was very nice, but I did not see much staff on the floor. They did not have as many rooms available at the time I was looking.

The rooms are fine at Sunrise Fountain Square. They have a washer and dryer, a thermostat for air-conditioning and heating, a microwave, icemaker, and garbage disposal in each apartment. The common area’s temperature is not regularly very warm. It can be either too high or too cool. The dining area is sort of a mess because they don’t pay their staff enough, plus the design of the dining room was too small. They have activities but not enough people to intelligently enjoy them. When we first came here, I was recommending it. At this point, I could not. They have management and operational problems.

Sunrise Fountain Square is a very nice community. When you walk in the front door, it’s very homey, clean and cozy looking. I just like the look of it very much. Another important thing is it’s only seven minutes from where I’m going to live, too, so I don’t have to travel far to visit my husband. I think the food is good.

We visited Fountain Square (Sunrise at Fountain Square) for my father. The atmosphere was very good. The staff was very friendly. The residents were happy. My wife noticed that the women were wearing jewelry, so they felt comfortable in that environment. As we visited, they were playing a game in the lobby. There were people sitting around, and one of the staff was playing a word game with them. This facility was homey too.

My husband lives at Sunrise, and we've been very happy with it. They seem to be very nice people there. He gets his meals, his exercise, and activities, and he is not very far from where I live, so I visit him very often. I can go there anytime. The staff seems kind and considerate, and they treat him well. It could be kept cleaner. It is not bad, but sometimes it is kind of messy, and it is not usually the way it is, so usually it is pretty good. It is homey, much homier than a hospital. He has a nice room there, and he is comfortable there; his room is OK. They could use more staff to take care of the people who live there. They kind of have to wait to be taken care of. I would say they are a little understaffed.

We visited Sunrise at Fountain Square, but the facility didn't work for us. The area was too congested. The rooms were fine though. We didn't eat there but we saw that the dining room was clean and nice. I liked that the people who assisted us during our visit were accommodating.

Sunrise at Fountain Square was our second choice. They were fine and I am sure my aunt-in-law would have been happy there. But price-wise, it was more. Her apartment wasn't as big as what she has now. They had activity rooms and a calendar of events in which residents could partake. It was basically the same thing.

Sunrise at Fountain Square has an intimate setting. It’s very new, and we were only there for 3 months. We like the layout and we are able to bring her things so that she can feel comfortable there. The staff are very attentive. They pay attention to her special needs, because she is diabetic. They also seem to show an extraordinary level of care, doing not only what they have to do, but going beyond. She has a wonderful apartment with a good view. My mother seemed to enjoy the food, it has a lot of variety. She goes to exercise class, they have a fashion show, a sing-a-long and a library. She is home.

My sister's friend is at the independent living community at Sunrise of Fountain. The facility is excellent as well as the rooms. Everything is great. There is not a bad thing about the place. They have nice activities like movie nights, physical therapy; they have everything.

The fees for this facility are outrageous for the services. Care managers turn over constantly because they are overworked. Fees are continually increased, and care is terrible. I do not recommend this place, the facility is beautiful but the residents get horrible care (and meals are horrible unless it is an event where they are hosting outsiders).

This facility is extremely short staffed. Residents falling constantly. Groups of residents sitting unattended plopped in front of the t.v. while the very few care givers run around trying to get residents ready for bed. Resident call lights take sometimes 15-20 minutes to be answered. Nurses giving medications hours behind schedule. I would not recommend this facility for my loved one.

The overall appearance of this facility was beautiful, but when it came down to customer service and quality of care, it was lacking. There were repeated issues with night-time staff forgetting to give my grandmother her medications, despite frequent complaints and reminders of various forms. The staff were clearly overworked and underpaid, with only one to two workers on an entire floor. On the upper floors, the staff had to bring meals up themselves, from the kitchen on the first floor and prepare everything for all residents on the floor. When my grandmother died, Sunrise was not willing to allow us even one extra day to get her stuff out (it was the end of the month) without charging us for another full month, which was ridiculous there was no rush for her room there were many vacancies. There were several great caregivers on staff, however, and my family is grateful for them. I was pleased with the number of activities offered and the encouragement of staff to get residents to participate.

The staff was very attentive, compassionate, and competent. The amenities were beautiful, very nice. The facility was very homey feeling. They made it look homey through house-like architecture. The residents were allowed to bring their own furniture to their rooms. Other furniture was very non-institutional. The food was better than expected in a facility of this nature. My aunt enjoyed all the desserts. If a visitor paid $5 she/he could eat with her relative in the dinning room. The grounds were well kept. The facility was clean. The janitors were friendly. There was a beauty parlor on the premises. My aunt had her hair and nails done weekly. They had organized games, bingo, memory games, and Scrabble tournament. Choral groups would come and perform occasionally. The residents could go on shopping trips or to the movies as a group. The facility had two house dogs. The facility was set up for multiple levels of care, from assissted living to almost total dependancy. It was not my aunt's home; as much as they try to down-play the institutional nature, it was still an institution.

Pros:Comfortable facility, lots of activities, caregivers generally helpful but overworked. Help the family place them in another facility when their money runs out. Cons: Way too expensive! Do not take medicare. Tend to try to keep you there with promises of working with you to keep costs low but then before you know it, they tell you your loved one needs a higher level of care and the costs really go up then. They drag it out until all their money is gone. Have a "neurologic protocol" to put seniors on antidepressants. My mom was always the most positive person. Their facility doctor recommended it saying it helps when they are having trouble 'adjusting". But not enough oversight for side effects!! My mom started dragging her legs more and more and eventually fell and broke a bone. They blame it on her demensia. Unless you have the money, look for somewhere else that will eventually take medicare so you don't have to move them again and they don't have to go through the adjustment.
