Atria Park of Glen Ellyn is an excellent facility. It is located right across some park so it was a pretty quiet setting. The apartments were nice. The grounds seemed to be well-kept. The person who did the tour was excellent. They have outdoor seating in the front.

We went to Atria Park of Glen Ellyn. It was a very nice place. It was a much larger facility than the one we're at, but the way it was set up was very nice as I recall. And so each hallway had a name or picture, like home or garden to make it easier for you to find your room. You knew which way you had to go. The woman who greeted us was very knowledgeable. She was very nice and explained everything, expectations, etc. It was another facility where, "We'll take great care of your mother, she'll be wonderful here. But as soon as you run out of money, she's got to go." It was very nice the way it was set up. People were outside from the assisted living side. And when they took us down to memory care, it was very clean. It was freshly painted with new carpeting. But it was that smell. You could tell it was clean. It was new. It was just newly done. We appreciate that. The staff wasn't friendly or they walked right past you, and didn't even look up at you, like the nurses or the CNAs. As I recall, they had different choices for meals. So you weren't locked into one thing.

There's nothing I didn't like about Atria Park of Glen Ellyn. It was beautiful and very homey. The people that I talked to were very kind and very nice. The residents' area that they showed me was very nice, and having people on the floor was very nice, too. The place was very clean. The person who put me on the tour was very, very informative.

I went to Atria Park of Glen Ellyn. Their food was delicious. The staff member showed me a studio, but she couldn't show me a one-bedroom because they did not have any available. The people were very friendly. There were a lot of wheelchairs and walkers. The apartment looks nice, but all they have is a sink and a refrigerator. No stove at all. They feed you three meals a day and they have a happy hour every day. I had to park way in the back, and the only door in and out is the front door. So it's a long walk in the wind, and it's very windy there. The staff who gave the tour was very nice, but she was late in getting there for me. I finally came out and said, "Is anyone coming?" and that's just when she walked down the hallway. The place was very clean, and there's no odor, so it's very nice that way. They have a porch in front by the front door that wraps around the building, and with chairs out there, people can sit outside. They have an indoor court. It's inside a fence and all that. It's pretty big. And then right across the street, there's a park.

Atria Park of Glen Ellyn's location was great. I liked the room layout. It's unique and the room was very nice. They have a couple of things going on right now. The staircase was out of order. The elevator is being taken out of order, which concerns me. The person who gave my tour was very knowledgeable but did not give me any information on pricing while I was there. They sent everything afterward. It would have been much more helpful if they had handed me information while I was there. They offered a salon and activities for the seniors.

Atria Park has been an exceptional experience for my mom's stay. The facilities are very nice, the staff is attentive, caring and professional, and management has been exceptional to work with. She's eating better and feeling better than she was before moving in here. She is very happy to be here in spite of her health issues and needs. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

I liked that Atria Park of Glen Ellyn was extremely caring and a very solid community. The administration knew all the clients. They were very welcoming to us. They answered questions. They were very knowledgeable about different types of care. It was a very welcoming experience. They invited us to try their meals, but my dad was not up to it. It looked delicious though. It was very clean, and the people were very active. There were lots of activities that we liked. They were in the middle of remodeling, so we didn't get a full picture of it, but what we saw was very, very good. The director was very welcoming. They were very, very caring.

Touring Atria Park of Glen Ellyn was a good experience. The people are friendly. I found it to be homey, comfortable, and well-kept. I believe it's a little bit smaller than the other place I toured, but I kind of like that, because it's not overwhelming for someone coming in. They had a pig roast when we were there and I partook in it and it was good. They're doing some renovations to spruce up the dining area, but it was clean and laid out very nicely. I've been in other assisted living facilities up where I live and I felt it was just as nice as the ones that I have visited up here.

The facilities at Atria Park of Glen Ellyn weren't modern, but the place was clean and affordable. I did not like the activities. They did have outings, but the outings were to the casino, and that was a bad idea to me. The units were very affordable and they were giving some good deals. I almost went with them just because I was in a situation where I needed care for my dad. The staff was friendly, extremely accommodating, and helpful.

If I could, I would give Atria Glen Ellyn10 stars! This is one of the most difficult decisions one will make with moving their parents out of their home. Our first encounter and what sold us on Atria for my mom was Kelley. She was very skillful, dealing with my very fiesty and angry mom who wanted no part of moving anywhere. It took a while, but she invested the time and found a way to connect with her, which was so important, since mom left her home of 45 years and was the one who would be living there. She has such a passion, genuine caring and understanding that I would highly recommend Atria. She followed up with my mom very often and that helped with her transition. Mom is now four months in and calls this home now, where she is comfortable in her own apartment and she feels safe. As family we love that we made the right decision moving to Atria. We love all the staff and I trust my mom's care at Atria. They've just remodeled the common areas and is lovely. It is a very intimate reminds us of a cozy home with a wrap around porch and enough rocking chairs for everyone. Beautifully landscaped seasonally and a walking path that wraps around the building. There are 70 residents so it is not overwhelming and mom receives very personal care. My mom has her independence here, which she wanted, and there is always something to do and someone caring nearby whenever she needs it---that gives us such peace of mind. She had a rough year, losing my dad along with some health issues, but with all of that it's wonderful to see her connecting with the wonderful staff and the other residents her new neighbors. I believe she is going to continue to thrive and be happy here. Mom has a lovely apartment, with laundry, cleaning, utilities, all included. The Chef prepares delicious well planned meals in a restaurant feel dining room. The Activity staff is outstanding, making things fun with all kinds of daily activities and always trying to get mom involved. There is Church every Tuesday evening that mom loves to attend. All of the Receptionists know mom and her family. The nursing staff and caregivers are on site 24/7 are wonderful and very caring to her needs. Maintenance is very responsive to any issues. This review is personal, because I want anyone considering coming here to know that they can trust Atria of Glen Ellyn and everyone here is devoted to take the best care of your precious family member.

I went to Atria Park of Glen Ellyn. I love that place. It's a very nice, beautiful place. The woman that showed me around was fabulous. She was great. She was excellent. She told me everything and understood what I was going through. She was sweet and she was someone that you want to deal with. It was a hard decision not to go there. It was closer to me, but not closer to my sister. Everything was very nice. It was very light, too. When you sit down to eat breakfast, the sun is shining through the windows from the high ceiling. It was just really gorgeous. They had a lot of things going on.

The person that led the tour at Atria Park of Glen Ellyn was informative. She was knowledgeable and friendly. The staff all seemed friendly. The facility was clean. I really have nothing bad to say about it. We saw three different floor plans, and they were all different sizes. Everything was in good condition and clean. Their dining area was set up like a restaurant, and the grounds were very nice. They had a nice porch area they could sit on. They also had a screened porch, and there were trails around the outer perimeter of the building. They were having a party in the first floor activity room. There was also some type of a meeting, and they had paperwork in their hands. There were activities going on. The assisted living is carte blanche, like anything you need above that level is an additional charge. If you require more help, then they have it available. They offered transportation. There were physicians on-staff and 24-hour nursing. They had cable TV. There were meals and multiple activities during the course of the day. They did social events.

My parents have moved into Atria Park of Glen Ellyn. It was affordable. It looks like a bed and breakfast, so it's a very warm atmosphere. It had short hallways, so it was good for my dad and his walker. It's just a very warm, welcoming place. The staff are very welcoming. They're very thorough about what information they needed and helpful in letting us get it together. It's laid out very nicely. They have several activities for memory care people. They have music, art, movies, cooking, and baking. They've got a lot of things for the people in the memory care to do. I was very, very happy with it. My father is in assisted living and my mother is in memory care. They have little refrigerators in every room and a little sink. It's like a mini-kitchen. You can't really cook in it, but you can put a little microwave in there if you bring your own. But they give you a little refrigerator-freezer and they have a sink.

The grounds at Atria Park of Glen Elyn are beautiful and everybody was very friendly. The place was super clean and they looked like they had a lot of activities. I like that it's smaller, so there are not as many rooms as other facilities, so it's more of a homey feel. The rooms are smaller than the other place I saw, but they're a good size. We were there during lunch so the people were eating.

I liked Atria Park in Glen Ellyn, it was beautiful. I loved their rooms and I thought my dad would be very comfortable in it because it was homey. I liked how the food was in the cafeteria too. It would have been easy for him to get around because the rooms were the perfect size. That would be more than my dad would ever imagine. He hasn't lived that well, and the house he lives in isn't that nice. It's definitely a nice place, and I would have no problem moving my dad there. It's just his income was not enough, and how much it was a little too high for us. We would also have to pay a community fee so it was just a little bit more than I could afford on my own. If I had more relatives putting in and helping me, then we could get by, but to burden myself with that would be too much. My dad doesn't have anything. He gets $2,000 a month and that's it. It would have been a perfect area because my dad used to live right down the street. Originally, we were looking at just assisted living where they would help him, but they actually had him evaluated, assessed, and they said he would need more memory care. The staff member was wonderful. She went over everything and was very, very informative. We had a really nice conversation along with my aunt, who came with me and had a lot more questions. She gave me a lot of brochures and the VA stuff too. She told me a lot of the stuff that could help my dad, and all the assistance he could get, which I thought was great. The eating part of it was great too. I think it was 7:00 to 7:00, so anytime that he felt ready to eat, he could go eat. I think they have a bistro there. He would also have a refrigerator in his room, so it was just unbelievable. It was absolutely more than I thought. My mom was in a home too, and she had nothing like that, so this was a step up. They have activities all day because I saw a calendar and it tells them what's going on. The outside was very nice. I love the front because they had the rockers out there and it was so inviting. They could come out and just sit out there and enjoy the day. Right next door was a big park district where they had baseball and stuff like that. I thought my dad could just see that going. They could probably see it from their windows, so it was a beautiful area. Everybody there was super nice. Everybody stopped to say hi and talk to me. She introduced me to all the workers that were coming and going. They were wonderful, and I felt very comfortable there.

We checked both the assisted living and memory care at Atria Park of Glen Ellyn but we decided my parents are not at that point where they need to be in assisted living or memory care. I don't know how the dementia is going to progress and if or when they would need memory care but it does not look like a suitable place for their current state of health. It didn't seem as if it had the wide range of activities the other places had because those places have independent living. I didn't find the apartments as pleasant either. They certainly were adequate, but it only had a kitchenette, there was no full kitchen. I think it is limiting for my folks. At the lobby, I thought the carpeting looked a little worn and not well kept up. Other than that, the facility seemed fine. My mother liked it because it was smaller and felt homier. Memory care had more security. It had a gated kind of backyard and courtyard area. If you had a person who wandered because of their mental state, they would be kind of secure there. The staff was very nice. The person in the activity room, we talked to her for quite a while, was very engaging and very upbeat. The salesperson also gave us a lot of information. I didn't think the facility itself was quite up to par with the other places we've visited. I thought it could be a little nicer.

Atria Park of Glen Ellyn was very nice. They did a great job. The woman was very nice too. She showed me all of the rooms and showed me exactly what they do. There were snacks always available. There was a man who will be there if anything that needed to be fixed for my mother. The facility was just very clean and very warm. There's no foul smell or anything. We felt very warm when we walked in. She even offered water to my brother because it was a hot day. She was very, very nice about that. The room was also very nice and very clean. As you entered into the memory care, I liked that they had pictures for the residents there, so it would help them remember the loved ones in their life. It was just very warm walking toward them and interacting with them. They had a salon too and an activity room. In fact, an activity was going on when I went there.

I was able to visit Atria Park in Glen Ellyn yesterday. It was great, my mom loved it, but they don't accept Medicaid. It's a wonderful assisted living community and the services looked impeccable. If I could do it, I would love for my mom to go there. She said that's a place where she would love to stay. Unfortunately, the price is acceptable to some but not to others. The staff are very friendly, knowledgeable, and caring individuals. It looks like the management team knew the type of people they wanted to work for them: people who are caring, who listen, and who understand the needs of their residents. That's the most important thing for any community or assisted living facility, and they excelled at it. They're wonderful. I saw their lunch menus, and some of the stuff looks good. If I could, I would stay there. The facility is gorgeous.

We visited Atria Park in Glen Ellyn. The tour was very informative, interesting, and they answered all of our questions. We thought it was well cared for and nicely laid out. It was clean, and the staff that we met all seemed very friendly. They have activities (like having a magician) and they have a theater and a band. Everything was subject to change based on the COVID restrictions. At the time we were there, they were in the midst of reviving some of their activities.

My sister moved into Atria Park of Glen Ellyn. We haven't been there, so we don't really know much. They're on lockdown and we can't go there. She likes it very much and the woman we worked with, Vi, she is extremely nice and helpful. I think they communicate with my daughter through emails almost every day. They couldn't have been more helpful. They have housekeeping, three meals a day plus snacks, and a laundry service.

I wouldn't give Atria Park of Glen Ellyn a good review. They actually gave us permission to come in and when we did they changed their minds and decided they couldn't deal with my dad. They had an open staircase there and my dad walked down the staircase, and that's when they stopped him and said he was a fall risk. They had somebody stay with him at night until they decided to put him in the memory care where it was locked so he could not get out. That's what we did, but they really weren't doing a whole lot for memory care down there. There was a lot of women who were lethargic and he was just stuck down there in that little basement area. Finally, they didn't want to deal with his catheter and so they said we had to leave. The food was good. The staff members were nice when you confronted them, but a lot of times you couldn't find the nurses. The people in the memory care were just sitting and watching TV. They weren't really helpful. One day my dad didn't eat and so I asked his caregiver, and he said, "Well, we can take him down to dinner, but we can't force him to eat."

Atria Park of Glen Ellyn's physical space wasn't as appealing because it was more of an older Victorian style. I knew it wasn't going to feel like home to my mom. The living quarters were studio apartment size; they were comfortable. The buildings were very nicely done. They had a living room and a dining room on the first floor. There was a front porch that you can sit in, which was heated so you feel like you're sitting outside. All of those things were very nice. However, it wasn't homey and wasn't right for us. I wasn't comfortable with the staff.

The general impression is Atria Park of Glen Ellyn is very nice, and it’s being considered as one of the 2 homes we’re looking at. The food was very good. The residents seemed very comfortable, and it seemed like a very welcoming community. The amenities including the hair salon, the fitness center, the long hours for food and beverages, the activities for residents, and the choices and options are all things that seem very interesting and are things that we like that we’re considering.

Atria Park of Glen Ellyn is a little less expensive with less classy things, and it is older. The rooms were not as nice, smaller, and a bit crowded. But there was nothing wrong with it. If I had to live in one, I’d pick the other place, but I would live here also. I found the staff to be better -- significantly better. They followed up quite nicely by sending us a big bowl of fruit, and they have called back a couple times.

We only viewed the studio apartment at Atria Park; I think we just got busy talking and forgot looking the rest of it. The woman that helped us was wonderful and gave us a lot of information. We met some of the residents that were going to watch a movie to the theater room. My mom did not like the size of a 1-bedroom apartment. She didn’t like the apartment, but the facility was very nice. It was nicely decorated, and the dining room was beautiful.

Atria Park of Glen Ellyn was previously Sunrise, but there was a change of ownership. I thought the food was very good, initially. What I saw is that 70% of the caregivers are absolutely wonderful, and some are a little lax; maybe there aren’t enough caregivers. Mom is 96 and very slow and always felt rushed. She is also the last one to go down for meals. The nurses are very good, though. We chose it because the rooms had so much natural light and views of the park. She was very happy during her first year there, but sometimes they run out of her food selection. They are more expensive, too.

For our purpose, Atria Park of Glen Ellyn is probably our top choice. It is very nice and very close to family members. However, the staff has turned over a bit since we went, and it is hard to keep up with who is the director now.

I visited Atria Park. The staff was very nice, very accommodating, and very willing to show me everything. I really liked the facility; however, it was a little further from my house.

Atria Park of Glen Ellyn was our second choice for our parents. They provided us a tour in the facility. I saw that it's a well-managed facility. Everything is well laid out. The people are very warm and friendly.

My sister and I visited Atria Park of Glen Ellyn and we were very impressed. They were extremely good at showing us everything. We talked to some of the residents there and everybody seemed happy. It was beautiful. They gave us a tour of all the rooms that were available. They told us the pricing, and they offered what they called respite stay where she could just stay for a month -- there's no contract, just a monthly fee. We liked everything we saw -- the rooms, the grounds are beautiful, a lot of outdoor areas to walk around or just sit outside if you wanted. The location was good to Lombard which is where she and my other sister live. She would have her own apartment there which she would love. The dining area looked very nice. The rooms were very good, and they had everything from studio to two-bedroom. Everything was handicap accessible with big windows, so there was a lot of light. They were pet friendly. She has a cat and that's important for her to bring the cat and they accept that.

Atria Park of Glen Ellyn is a beautiful facility. It's in an area that is very convenient to a lot of geriatric services. I'd have to have my aunt go for some ear and dental services, and it was less than five minutes away in both cases. There are a lot of small local restaurants, theater, and shopping where they take the residents. They are close to a park, and the staff is long-tendered, which is something I've always looked for. They are happy there, they like their jobs, and they are really kind and helpful to the residents. My aunt has had complaints about every other facility that she has stayed in, but here she says that they take really excellent care of her, and she appreciates being there. The sanitation is wonderful, and the dining and the food services really are very good.

Atria Park of Glen Ellyn was extremely well-lit and bright. It wasn't dreary, it wasn't dark, and it wasn't drab. It was like walking into a community center where there was a lot of hustle and bustle. There were a lot of people eating at different tables for lunch or dinner. There was a lot of action, and you wouldn't have thought you were in a retirement home. It was fantastic really. A lot of things were going on: brightly lit rooms, brightly lit colors, and a circular location where the rooms were in the outside of the circle and when you exit your room, you only had one option, which is to go forward so you wouldn't get lost, and you would be walking into an area where there was always someone there, always something to do, always something going on, and activities. I was actually looking forward to putting my mother in a place like this. It was excellent. The people were totally professional, and I felt so comfortable I would have signed her up. It was a great place. It was like being on vacation in an all-inclusive resort, and I have no negatives about it.
