My mom moved into Covenant Living at the Holmstad. We chose it because of the location and quality of care. It seemed like my mom could graduate from independent living through some of the other steps if needed. They have very nice swimming facilities. They have all kinds of activities, a gym, and a pool. Everything seemed to be very well maintained and staffed. The staff members seemed to all be very nice. The food is good.

Covenant Living at the Holmstad was a beautiful facility. Not only the building itself, but the landscaping was very large and beautiful. There were lots of places for residents to be able to walk. They had gardens and trees. It's the most beautiful place I've seen with a price to match. They request a large deposit and then monthly charges, which could increase yearly. There are no meals at all. The salespeople were extremely nice. It's just we can't afford it.

We loved Covenant Living at the Holmstad. It was lovely. I would love to have my mom go there. Everybody knew each other. The residents knew the staff and said hi to them as we walked through the place. The 2-bedroom was phenomenal. It would fit my mother's needs completely. It would have been just perfect. They had so many amenities and so many things that they do like going out shopping and all these things. It's a fun and caring place for people that have limited ways to get around and that needed just a little bit of care.

My tour at Covenant Living at the Holmstad was fantastic. We met with Ray, and he was very good at explaining where everything is, all the inside things and the outside facility, walking areas, and garden areas. He was so good at explaining just how everything works there, so we really appreciated the extra things that we didn't even think about. The rooms were adequate for an individual or two people. They're roomy enough and bright, with a nice window, and the bathroom is appropriate for just a step-in shower. There's no tub, so that a big help to seniors. Everything that they would need is there. There are studio rooms, one-bedrooms, and two-bedrooms. Sometimes there are couples who move in there. They have a pool and a room to do workouts and to do physical therapy. They also have a woodworking shop, and my stepdad was very glad to hear about that part of it. The dining room is very nice, it has tablecloths, and it's adequate. They have kind of a snack area, too, where you can just go up to a counter and ask for a snack or whatever, something light. They have a nice walking area outside with plenty of benches, and they have an outside garden that you can help in or do some gardening if you wish. Everyone we talked to was happy to be there.

We settled on Holmstad for mother. I liked the concept of a continuing care community, it was a large enough size, and financially stable. Additionally, they have catered care which was in between independent living and assisted living, which was appealing to us. We were looking at an apartment. I toured it four times, and for the different levels, they had different people that keep the residents engaged in social activities. The food was great.

The Holmstad was excellent and great. The people were wonderful and informative. It was all good, but it’s not going to work right now for my mother. There’s apartments, memory center, and infirmary living situations. There were two or three dining rooms: one was restaurant-style and one was buffet. If my mother is going to live some place, it would be there.

I liked the comprehensive services available from every stage of care for life at The Holmstad. There are extensive facilities available to keep them as interested and busy as much as they want to participate in a good quality of life. It was one of the best places close to my home. They remodel every room before the resident moves in so it was like moving in to a brand new place for my mom.

Holmstead is very convenient to where my wife and I live. I like the idea that they had options for care at different levels as a person's condition change and start to need more assistance. The facility itself is very, very nice. It's a large campus right across the street from a river, so they have a very nice piece of real estate. The facility is beautiful. Everyone that I've met there is absolutely committed to care. My father's been there now well over a year. I would absolutely recommend them.
