My tour of Brighton Gardens of St. Charles was amazing. I walked in the door and they greeted me. They had a little sign up there with my name on it. It was great. You felt like you were just part of their community. It was so nice. The person that gave me the tour was very knowledgeable, very kind, and answered all my questions. I was getting a little bit nervous about thinking about my mom needing more care and she was able to speak to me kindly and slowly. She just took her time with me and didn't rush me at all and made me feel like she cared. She shared her own experience about when she had to do this with her family member and how hard it was. She was just letting me know that my feelings were valid and that it was normal to feel that way. She was just very personable and she had a lot of empathy. The rooms were very clean. Each hallway has an assistant or caregiver/CNA and they check on the residents every 2 hours, even in the middle of the night to make sure they're OK. So, if they were to fall or if they were to need assistance, they wouldn't be waiting all night until the next day. So, it's called Eyes on You and I thought that was amazing. I talked to some of the residents there and they were friendly. They were dining and the food looked really good. They even told me that my mom was going to love the food there. They were raving about how good it was. They were all talking amongst each other and they said they're like a big family there. The community was kind of small. So, it seems like everybody knew everybody and they had a dog that lived there on the premises and people loved that. They have people who come in and do exercise classes. They said they have weekly activities. I saw that on the activity board and they have people who come and volunteer to come in and spend time with the residents to play games. So, they have a lot of people coming in to stimulate and to give the residents something to look forward to. The residents seemed happy. Every one of them. The ones that were sitting in the lobby with the dog or the people who were just hanging out by the TV and talking with the people that were eating. The assisted living side that I saw was very positive and I told my mom that when she's ready, this facility is amazing. It is. I would want my mom there.

We had a very good tour of Brighton Gardens of St. Charles. It's very well-kept. The apartments were very nice, more than adequate, and very spacious. It's got the standard features for the handicapped, like some grab bars and all that good stuff. The dining area was very open and easy to move around in. They have very friendly people and a very nice environment. They have a list of activities, including exercises, bingo, and different crafts, and a piano in the open area where people can play it. The staff that I met were very informative and were looking after their people.

I toured Brighton Gardens of St. Charles for my husband. I thought it was awesome. They have security at the door. The man at the desk, his name was Joey. He helped me to sign in, got me a new mask, and explained a few things. The director came down, and she spoke to us. She took us through the whole place. I was really amazed at how clean it was. All the staff were clean. I met a lot of the staff. I met the cook. The housekeeper was there, and she was doing her job. They were very busy cleaning. The residents were coming down to the dining room to play bingo. The prizes there was that they get little tickets that they can accumulate; then they can go shopping in the gift shop, which I thought was an awesome thing. They could save a month and buy whatever they want done. We saw the dining room, and it was awesome. I couldn't find any fault with the place. We did not try the food; however, the food is homemade from scratch every day (that's important). I checked out the menu. It's varied, and they can have as much as they want. The residents were still in the dining room, and they were visiting. They had nice places where you can go visit. It was spotless. No cobwebs and no lint on the carpet. I was surprised. It looked like a brand-new building.

Brighton Gardens of St. Charles doesn't look esthetic, it looks homey. It's a very relaxed feeling among the residents, and it looks very welcoming. It doesn't have any smell like you would think. They were decorating and I haven't seen the finished product yet, but they're decorating what is going to be phenomenal. Very homey, very relaxing for residents just to see Christmas trees everywhere. The staff was wonderful. She answered all my questions. She even asked me questions and was very, very knowledgeable and caring. The residents looked like they were enjoying the food. They have on staff, doctors and podiatrists. They use a pharmacy, so it's not like I have to go pick up prescriptions for my mom, it would all be taken care of for her. They also have comfort care animals and you're allowed to have pets there, also.

You won't find a place like this one. I cannot recommend Brighton Gardens enough. They allowed my grandfather to live his last year of life with dignity and unmatched care. He was loved, doted on, and every time I went to visit he was content and clearly well cared-for. His room was neat, clean, and he always had what he needed. The facility is beauitful, bright, and felt like a home- never a hospital. They keep their residents busy with activities daily and they make sure to get to know them and their interests upon moving in. Grandpa was a big Cubs fan and they made sure to put the games on for him during the season. End of life care is an almost impossible decision to make, and I cannot thank you folks enough for what you did for my grandfather and to ease our minds when we couldn't be there. Even during a pandemic, you made it work and never once had us feel like a burden for checking in on him. It is SO hard to find folks in human services that have genuine passion and dedication but yours has been as clear as glass since day one. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU.

My mom was at Brighton Gardens of St. Charles, and we had a very good experience. I liked it a lot. Everybody was great. They called us whenever anything came up that might have been a safety issue, like she falls a lot, so they would call us immediately, so they were very attentive. She loved the food. It was like going to a restaurant every day for her. She really liked it. They had a ton of activities too. Every day they had something going on, at least one or two things. I just found it to be a very friendly community. All the help was really nice, and she felt very well cared for.

I visited Brighton Gardens of St. Charles. I liked the activity and the caring staff. Everybody was working very hard on behalf of the residents. The facilities were very nice. All the Brighton Gardens are converted hotels, and the rooms were very big and very nice. They had a library, space where they had church services, and a community room.
