My mom is at The Colony Club ALF. It's a nice place, and they've taken good care of her so far. She's only been there a couple of weeks. They give her therapy. They get her up, and make sure she eats. They try to keep her a little active. The director is real nice, and she helped me out a lot. I can place her there. They treat her really good. It's really a nice place. She likes the food. She's not eating a lot, but she's been eating the food. The people are nice, and the workers are real nice. They do their job, and they take care of my mom. They feed her, bathe her, and all that. This was about the best, and it's closest to the family too.

My husband is at The Colony Club. We chose it because of the location and because they take Medicaid. The staff is very helpful. We don't get involved too much because of COVID, and he's only been in there a couple of weeks. It doesn't look like an assisted living; it looks like a little apartment complex. I don't get to go inside, but the outside looks clean. I think they have a salon.

My mom was at The Colony Club Sunrise. It was a place she could stay, even if she continued to get a little bit worse, and I think they did a real good job providing her with therapy, and everything that she needed. She said the food wasn't good, but other than that she didn't have too much to complain about. We had the chance to take her out for a few days when her grandson got married, and the physical therapist that came in was really, really good. I was very happy with that aspect of the service. We found that they had a lot of turnover in the staff, which is unfortunate, because there were some people who were very, very nice, but that is typical for that area down there. It wasn't like anybody else could have done anything better. The activities were not as many as I would have liked to see, but my mom really didn't go down there for that. She has to do her own activities, but they had a special pizza lunch every couple of weeks, and they played bingo. They also had a nice outdoor area that was partially covered, and partially right outside.

My friend is in The Colony Club in Sunrise. It's a good facility and her room is really nice and a pretty good size. It's better than the ones I looked at. She's there to make sure she gets her medications. The food smelled really good and looked nice. They have a social area, a theater room, and they play bingo. Everybody I met was really nice. They have a big area for activities. It's a very clean facility. I was impressed.

My mother-in-law has been a current resident at The Colony Club for the past year and a half and overall we have been very happy. It has a high nurse to patient ratio which is why we moved her there from her previous facility. The security is very good, with an alarm on the main entrance door so that residents cannot leave without permission. The small size of the facility has been very good for her as well because she is not isolated on a higher floor away from the staff. However, the best thing about The Colony Club is the staff. The new Administrator Donna is great - she is very hands on & involved with each resident. Ann, the head nurse during the day, is very caring & hard working. They do have activities such as music or bingo, and a bus takes them to Publix and Walmart once a week. They also have a bus to take them to Doctor appointments as long as the appointment is before noon on weekdays. Overall, I would recommend this facility to others looking for an assisted living facility for their family member.

I love The Colony Club in Sunrise. It's very nice, and the staff was great. The place looked clean, and the rooms were nice. I saw both assisted living and memory care. I love the environment. It's small, so it's homier.

The Colony Club in Sunrise is pretty bare bones. This place is small, but not like tiny, it's just very nice and very clean, and everybody there seemed very caring. I brought my mom there so she could be evaluated, and she loved it. It's very secure, they can't get in or out without somebody being aware, which is very important. The rooms are small, but they dont want them in the rooms, they want them out and about. They only have about 25 people there, and that's great. The place is very basic, but it's kind of a warm feeling there, and that's what's different about it. They have like three different levels of care. Everything in there is on one floor, and most of these other places have elevators and stairs, so this place is just perfect. The people that I met, which include the head nurse and the woman who's in charge, were absolutely wonderful. The amenities aren't that great, but it's fine. They also play bingo every day and they do other stuff too.

The Colony Club in Sunrise is an extremely well-run and caring home where were very happy to have our dad. My dad has a private room thats always clean, well-cared for, and the furniture is very nice provided. The amenities, rooms, activities, and overall setting made it a lot easier to transition him. When he went there, he was 123 pounds, and when he went to the doctor days ago he went up to 139, so the good must be good. IT doesnt look like institutional food, and it looks well-prepared.

Place riddled with cockroaches and multiple other insects, filthy and smells like urine throughout. Residents constantly having their belongs stolen and management response, "There is nothing we can do."

From the outstanding staff to the quality of care, we are happy to recommend the Colony Club in Sunrise, Florida to any family who us looking for the ultimate in senior care. Our Mother, Lola Ludwig has been a resident at the Colony Club since 2008, and has certaintly found her ideal home there. We take great comfort in knowing her days are filled with comradery and activities that keep her 84 years young. She especially loves bingo and Sunday afternoons, when live entertainment fills the activity room with laughter and hand clapping sing-a-longs. Movie time and cards also help to round out other fun days. We take great comfort in knowing that all holidays are celebrated, and she is fulfilled with fellowship and many activities when we are not there. The chef and his staff provide excellent meals and fun desserts that we hear about every evening when we speak to her. We are truly blessed to have found The Colony Club.

I don't know what to say except ,"Thank You "to this place,!" I had to find a assisted living facility for a patient who I have been taking care of,( who is like a mom to me) at the time was 88yrs old, She was a mess( from memory loss to falling, etc.). Anyway, I was so fortunate to be referred here, It has saved her life. Lonnie, The Executive Director was & is very Compassionate for the residents & their families, As his staff ,Lynn who is the Admissions Counselor couldn't of helped me thru this process any nicer with her warm caring personality, always going outta her way to help the resident & their family , to explaining all about their programs from daily activities (arts & crafts to daily bingo, to entertainment on the weekends) to what the nursing staff duties are. You have a question , she will know the answer . To there wonderful dining room that serves 3 full delish & tasty cooked meals a day,( If the resident isn't up to coming to the dining rm they will be served in there room.) To Norman who is the handyman, always there with a smile, remembers my name, helps me with everything from hanging pic's, to always fixing the remote on the TV. To Glenva who is one of the very helpful receptionst, always answers the phone with a pleasant voice to greeting you with a smile, And doesn't let anyone by her with out knowing why there there. To the nursing staff that is hands on, always know's whats going on with the resident, from meds to patient care.. To the wonderful housekeeping staff, they say hello, with a smile, keeps the room spotless & ready to assist with what ever they need.I can keep going.. The Colony Club changed owners almost a year ago, but the same staff is here,(Thank you so much) the place is always Happy, clean and ready to help with whatever you may need. I can't say enough, My patient is now 92 yrs. and I wish I could look & feel so good. I can't say enough of Positive things here., If your loved one needs help that is affordable, SAFE, clean, hands on staff, This is the place to bring them..

My dad was in the Colony Club, and we didn’t really like it. The staff didn’t seem to be that friendly. He was sharing a room with another gentleman, and that didn’t work out, and so he was moved to another room, and that didn’t work out. The nurses were not friendly at all. They seemed to be more accommodating to the Caucasians than the African Americans. The facility was generally clean, and the dining area was nice. The food was decent, but my dad didn’t like the place at all.

I had the occasion to visit with a client that had recently been in the facility. She was in a day program for dementia clients. She appeared very engaged in the activities and happy. I was given a tour of the facility while I was there. The facility is a rather large one story facility, with independent and shared rooms for the client. My client had a private room. Staff is very patient and attentive with this population. They seem to genuinely care about the client. The client said the food was good to her and she wanted to eat all the time, if she could. Her family had moved her into the facility, as her cognition had declined so that it was unsafe for her to live alone.

I currently have a family member who lives at The Colony Club. My first impression was that the property was very clean and well cared for. The scenery was nice, and the inside was also impressive. There was a TV room with a large television, which was nice, and never too crowded. There were also many rooms where residents can go and hang out. The outdoor patio was also nice, and was a great place to enjoy the weather with other residents and visitors. There is a cafeteria, housekeeping people who come around every day, and many personal care employees on staff all day. The residents all seemed nice, and the nurses who I spoke with were all very friendly and helpful. There are also numerous activities to be enjoyed, such as game nights, exercise classes, crafts, and scheduled outings to places such as restaurants and grocery stores.

The Colony Club Sunrise is a very clean, well kept assisted living facility located in Sunrise, Florida. I was exceptionally satisfied with the nursing staff. They are very professional and friendly with my grandmother and my family. They have always been prompt in notifying me of any problems or issues that have occurred during my grandmother's tenure. Overall, I would rate The Colony Club Sunrise as an impeccable care facility and would strongly recommend them to others. The only negative that I can think of would be the high prices. However, due to the quality of service and level of care, I believe the prices are justified. I've entrusted the Colony Club with the care of my grandmother and they've done an excellent job of taking care of her and keeping her happy. Every time we visit, we leave happy!

I was able to tour this facility for my in-laws. I like the Colony club apartment set up. They have this two bedroom apartment that is big and overlooks a water way. Their rooms are large and that was beautiful. It's a large area and the most spacious of all the apartments that I have seen. There isn't much foliage but it allows my in-laws to look outside and have a nice view. I love the openness of the view. There are no trees though, I would love them to plant trees. It's a family-owned facility and the staff is very nice. It has that family feel to it which it nice. Their menu looks good. The residents there seemed happy at the dining area when I saw them. There are not as many activities or different rooms or activities to go to, but they do have a very large social activity room and they do have a full time activity Director.

My father was in this facility for five years before he passed away. Right from the beginning, we were treated as part of their family. They have quite a few events like a dog show, which family members are invited to bring their pets. They have holiday parties, like Halloween dances, Valentine's Day, etc. as well as religious holidays. There are always activities such as the usual Bingo, card games at night and every Sunday there is entertainment. The residents are encouraged to take part. The facility was always clean. The food served was always very good. Everyone including the residents are like family, always concerned about each other. They are always free to come and go escorted of course and signed out. The nurses there were very helpful, calling me immediately if there was any kind of issue. Everyone is on a first name basis and the management staff is on premises . There are security cameras outside on the patio as well as in the halls. The residents even if sharing a room, can bring in their own items such as TV, small refrigerator etc. There is a beauty salon on site on Saturdays for men and women. It was a very difficult decision to put my dad there, and there was not a day that I was sorry that I did.
