While in the area, we stopped in on the spur of the moment to see the Arbor Cove assisted living facility while searching for a place for my friend's mother to live. It resembled a nice country home, nestled in a beautiful wooded area. We liked its proximity to all of the things their family likes to do, including very good medical care. The staff was happy to show us around, despite the fact that we didn't have an appointment. The grounds around the main door were nicely kept, with flower beds and nicely manicured grass. The interior was inviting and we could smell fresh flowers. The décor was very homey and comfortable. This facility is considerably smaller than others we've seen "“ so the staff to patient ratio is high, which is nice. The place is well tended and very nice for seniors who need varying levels of assistance. There was plenty to do to keep everyone interested and occupied. There were good books, games and many other social activities. The food we saw looked appetizing and there were many menu options. They also have a nice snack variety which is offered continually. All of the seniors looked very well cared for and seemed quite content living within this environment - where they had plenty of freedom, in a safe and tranquil space.
