My mom moved into Montclair Royale. The staff are always on top of making sure that they get their medication. They track them down to make sure that they go have three meals a day. They also walk around providing them with snacks. We feel that they are well taken care of. We had to take her coffee pot and so forth. Her room has a bathroom. From what I understand, they have rooms that are furnished and some that are not. The staff are very friendly and easy to talk to. My mom hasn't really participated in anything because she's not very social, but I know that they offer things for the residents there.

My friend is in Montclair Royale. She is sharing a room. The people who welcomed her were fine. When we were there to visit her, the guy who gave the food to her was kind. That's it so far. We don't have the opportunity to see many people right now. The facility is very old. I think they need a little care. For example, the carpet in the room is not too clean even though they said that they cleaned it before. The screen door, because she's next to the window, wasn't good. I saw some scratches on the walls and the doors. I saw the breakfast and the lunch and they were good.

I toured Montclair Royale. The staff was nice. The people that lived there were very nice and they were welcoming. But what I didn't like was that it was too hospital-like. I don't want someone walking around in scrubs all the time near my door. I don't want them to knock at my door. And that's what people were telling me what they do to check on you. The facility was clean, but it had a hospital smell. I don't care if the other buildings are memory care and assisted living. That's okay.

Mom is at Montclair Royale. They have a good and caring staff. They're very personable. The facility has a nice courtyard with a fountain, sitting areas, and grass areas. They have a beauty salon and a dining room where they can sit while they play nice music so it's entertaining. They also have an auditorium/game room that has a stage on it and anyone can come there. I like that room, too.

My dad has moved into Montclair Royale. They're very, very good. They're very helpful to my dad. They call me for everything that my dad needs, and they're very caring. The staff is very good. The food is very good, too. They have everything there. The activities are good. They have bingo, and they take the clients outside. I've been there when I took my dad out, and they were looking for him to take him outside, but I had him. So, when we came home, they were all outside and they took him outside. It was very nice. It was very nice. They all welcome him. Value for money is good. It's a very nice, pleasant place. You go in, everybody greets you, hello. Even upstairs in memory care, they're very nice.

The rooms are outdated and in need of paint, carpet, towels and cleanliness. The food is barely fit for consumption, seriously. Not only does it not taste good, there is no nutritional content. Absolutely nothing is fresh. Minimal staff. Common area floors are dirty. Not a nice place. Not a place you would want to live in or have a family member in.

The people at Montclair Royale were very friendly, and they communicate very well. Overall, it's a really great place. For now, we're not allowed to see my grandma yet. We just take her stuff to the front desk and drop it off. It's pretty structured. There's an entrance where they have somebody that's always sitting there to get people in, and that's as far as you can go, we can't go past that. So, it's nice, it's really clean and nice. My grandma moved to their memory care. They have a cafeteria, a TV room, a garden and a lot of space to walk around. Pre-Covid they did live music and all that kind of good stuff too. The staff is very friendly and they're easy to call and get a hold of. They're also very affordable.

I did an in-person tour of Montclair Royale. It looked very dirty to me and very disorganized. The room needed a lot of renovation. You could see stains on the ceilings. The room was very small. There were a lot of residents out in the lobby just sitting there. It didn't seem like there was really anything for them to do. The staff appeared overworked. They were friendly, but they were kind of rushing around a lot. We weren't even supposed to be there in person and no one told us that, but they scrambled to give us a tour anyway. They were disorganized, but friendly. They didn't mention anything about activities.

Montclair Royale is a limited-service facility. They have minimal staff with high turnover and no training for caregivers. Wait time for assistance is easily a half-hour on a weekday. Nighttime waits are longer and there is a skeleton crew on the weekend, both day and night. The food is barely edible with almost no nutritional value, or taste. The rooms are decent size, but dated and not maintained in proper fashion. The courtyard area is nice.

Pros: Residents have a roof over their head and access to food. Cons: Care assistance is minimal no matter what you pay. Wait time is long and when the call light in a room breaks it can take days to fix. Yes, residents are forced to go without the ability to call for help until the staff gets around to fixing the bell/light. No 24-hour assistance. Food is almost inedible. Very high in carbs and fat, nothing fresh., minimal variety. Water leaks. Ripped, threadbare carpet in rooms,, dirty and often out of service washers, lack of proper housekeeping. Minimal activities. No transportation or outings. Montclair Royale should be ashamed of itself.

Montclair Royale was an old facility, but it's very nice. The rooms were large. They had all the basic activities, exercises, a music room, and a library. The staff that I met with was very nice and accommodating. The dining area was very nice. It would've met our needs, it's just a little higher priced than the location that we picked.

We visited the independent living, assisted living, and memory care of Montclair Royale. It is really nice. I really like it. The accommodation was very nice, the kitchen was very nice, and the cafeteria was nice, too. The staff members were really nice as well.

Montclair Royale was nice and clean, and everybody looked happy. They had transportation to doctors and shopping. The staff was very friendly, informative and took into account our ages. The dining room was nice. My mother was one of the first tenants, so I was familiar with it. Everything seemed good for a handicap person if they were using walkers. It was homey.

I would not recommend Montclair Royale for my husband. I felt like he was going to be cooped up upstairs with no access to anything outdoors. I didn't like the atmosphere up on the second floor. The staff was nice enough. They showed me the hallway and the dining room, and I was not impressed. The downstairs area was fancy enough, but the upstairs was unpleasant. There was no parking. The people on the first floor were enjoying themselves.

This facility is mediocre at best. The food is barely edible and not in any way nutritious. The rooms are clean, but dated. There are not enough caregivers. Wait time for assistance is almost always 20 minutes or more. Skeleton staff nights and weekends. Activities are limited to bingo and the eoccassional singer. Montclair Royale fills a need for folks with limited financial resources, but in this case you get less than what you pay for. If you have other options think twice about MR.

Montclair Royale hasn't aged well. It was quite warm in there that day. They could've had the air-conditioning a little cooler. It needed touch-ups here and there. It was a little older, but the room I saw was clean. We toured the gardens and those were beautiful. The lobby and the dining area were clean, nice, and shiny. The staff was enthusiastic about the place. We met with some of the administrators and we sat in the library until we could catch up with our tour guide.

The tour I had of Montclair Royale was very organized. They gave me information, but they were not able to provide me with reference materials. It was a nice place, and the staff was really friendly. I liked their dining area because it looked like a restaurant. It was very spacious with high ceilings and it looked really clean. Just outside of it, there was a snack bar that the residents could access at any time. The whole ambience of the place was really nice and it was very clean. The lady showed me the activity room and the theater room.

I would give ZERO stars, but it made me pick one! There caregivers in memory care are over worked, there is not enough caregivers for the amount of patients. I have witnessed the way the caregivers talk to the patients and there is NO COMPASSION, they act like the patients get on there nerves and are bothering them! Ive witnessed several patients walk around in wet pants that stink really bad for over an hour and a half. The caregivers have time to be on there cell phones but not change a diaper? When my friends mom was first in this facility there was several caregivers that actually attended to the patients with compassion, now there is maybe 2 that are actually worth something. Ive witnessed caregivers yell at patients when they didn't think we were there, Ive witnessed a caregiver video taping one elderly person when she was having a fit. They shove all the patients in a tiny room they call the "TV" room and half of them are on the opposite side of the tv and cant even watch it. This place needs to be turned over to the state for investigation. WORST MEMORY CARE UNIT IN SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY!!!!! I CAN GO ON & ON ABOUT THIS PLACE, AND NOT IN A GOOD WAY! MISSING PATIENT ITEMS, CAREGIVER GIVING MEDICINE IS NOT PATIENT, FRONT DESK ALWAYS TO BUSY TO SAY HI! I FEEL BAD FOR ANYONE WHO HAS TO EXPERIENCE THIS PLACE!

Montclair Royale had larger, nice rooms, but there weren't many outdoor activities. The memory care unit was horrible. It was upstairs and they didn't go outside. It was very depressing. They had a TV room and a cafeteria. It didn't look very well-staffed, and it was very quiet. I wasn't really interested nor pleased.

The tour at Montclair Royale was good, and we liked it. It was a nice facility, and the only drawback was that it's on a busy street, but the actual facility itself seemed to be adequate. It appeared that they had the full range of typical senior activities. The grounds were average and the staff appeared to be adequate. It seemed to be a very nice, average facility that was reasonable in price.

Montclair Royale gives you a price for independent living, then they start adding additional costs for care, so to me it's still an independent living place. It's definitely an older building, the dining room was nice, and the staff seemed to be nice. The rooms that they showed me weren't very nice, and it looked old. There's a cord that you pull if you need help, but they don't have a medical alert button that you have on you.

Montclair Royale looked OK and like they are doing some renovation. It's not a place where I would put my parents because their rooms need touch ups. They are in a transition phase with new management. The staff was friendly.

Montclair Royale was a little more expensive as far as what they did. They provided meals and things like that, but the rent was just too expensive. For assisted living, it seemed to be more expensive. Everybody was very nice, and they served us lunch. It was a very nice place. They had a dining center where there were a lot of tables, and usually anybody can go down there and socialize or eat or watch TV. They have a big screen TV where you can watch and sit down there; that looked like it would be nice. There were a lot of people who had friends that they socialize with, play cards with, or anything like that. The apartments were very nice, and they had everything that you would need. We saw a 2-bedroom, and the bedrooms were a good size and were kept very nicely.

Montclair seemed efficiently run. They had a nice eating area, and the menu seemed varied and nutritional. They had nice, large-sized rooms. The personnel I met seemed very friendly, caring, and involved with the patients. I wouldn't foresee any problems.

The tour at Montclair Royale went well, and I really like the place, but we are still following up with them. I think Montclair Royale would fit the needs of my mother-in-law. The people were very friendly and efficient. I was impressed with what I saw. I think my mother-in-law would fit in fine there. What attracted me most were the activities that they offer and the friendliness of the people.

We placed my father-in-law in Montclair Royale. We are very happy with them. It seems like the staff is more involved with the patients. They are very caring towards their residents. It is not too big and not too small. The environment is very friendly. They have different activities for them also. They have bingo, a room where they can watch TV and movies, one lady leads exercise, and they a lady teaches them dancing.

Montclair Royale has amazing staff. They are so caring and so good with the residents, especially for memory care. Most of them in the unit are not very coherent, and the staff just takes them along, guides them, and keeps them busy. I can't say enough about the staff because they're wonderful. I was surprised by the size of the rooms because they're huge. It's great, and it just seems clean.

The assisted living part of Montclair Royale looked OK; you have to walk through there to get to the memory care unit. It was considerably less expensive, but there's no way I could ever put my mother in that place. People were lined up in the activity room in wheelchairs looking at a little TV screen. The memory care unit was like a warehouse facility to me. The assisted living part was a little better, but I only saw a part of it as I was walking through. I'm sure their care was fine, but it was just depressing.

My dad is pretty happy at Montclair Royale. He is satisfied with the facility and the help that he is getting. They have an activity area, a TV room, and a nice-sized courtyard. They have a really nice dining area too. He said the food is good, but the portions are kind of small. The rates are reasonable, and so far, we have been pretty happy with it. It is all inclusive.

Montclair Royale was a nice place. I like it, but it was out of my price range. I didn’t pursue it very far, but I was on a waiting list of two years. It was something I can do. I just talked to somebody at the leasing office that said they had a waiting list.

We only visited Montclair Royale for my mother. That one was very nice. They’re very reasonable. They gave us the information. Everything was nice. The staff was fine. They’re very friendly, they’re nice, and they answered some of the questions we had. They gave us more information that I was looking for at the time. They’re very helpful. Everybody was great.

I move my mom in Montclair Royale. I love the facility. I love how they keep it clean and how they tend to my mom. She is really happy there. She knows the staff by their name and has no complaint. She is always dressed and ready to go. Their room is always clean and she really likes her roommate. It working pretty good to her. They take their residents out on field trips. They have internal activities like bingo, arts & craft, bible studies and movie nights. They often take her down to the courtyard where she can get some fresh air and she can walk around. She likes to jog and she goes around in the courtyard. I like it a lot for my mom.

The person at Montclair Royale did not give us enough time. She was in a big hurry because she had another appointment. The facility is being remodeled. It looks like it is well maintained inside. I believe they were moving the residents around, because they had to do each room at a time. It did not stand out to me. The surrounding area is right next to a hospital, and it is in a lower-middle class area. The driveway needed to be redone. The parking lot was small; we had to park next door.

I looked at Montclair Royale for my grandfather. They’re a little bit more expensive; my grandfather can only afford a shared room there. I dealt with one staff member who was helpful. The community was OK but wasn’t as nice as the one that my grandfather moved into. However, it was on a busy street, and the area was not safe.

I visited Montclair Royale. I liked that there was a lot of staff. They were very friendly and very helpful. They were in the process of remodeling everything. It seemed to be well-appointed and very nice. Their rooms were quite large. They had a calendar of activities that was pretty standard amongst everything that I looked at. They had several trips.

The people were very friendly and very accommodating at Montclair Royale. It was very nice. It was renovated recently. We saw the dining room, and it was beautiful. Montclair Royale is good in how easy it is to sign up and how easy it is to work with them in getting all the specifics put together. Overall, it seems good although my uncle has been in there for only a few months. The environment is nice, but the place is kind of small. It looks like it is big from the outside, but it is not a big facility. Inside, it is fairly clean. They have people that work on that floor, but it is not structured as other places would be in terms of getting a hold of somebody. They are kind of slow in some ways when it comes to getting of a hold of people like the staff or the administration. They are good with responding when you do get a hold of them like when they know they need to talk to you.

We are going to be placing our aunt at Montclair on Tuesday. Basically, I liked the way they had everything set. When I walked through the doors, I liked the entrance area. I like the counselor a lot better; she has worked with me a lot more, filled me in with what is going on, and how to do it. All around, it was just a better feel. The rooms were very nice; there was a good selection of rooms with different sizes and different layouts. They had just recently upgraded a lot of rooms, and they have more rooms to upgrade. I just met a few of the staff members -- I was basically dealing more with the counselors and the management -- and they were very good, very knowledgeable, and they gave me a few different avenues to look at. They had all the activities that all these other ones had. They had the basic ones -- they had Bingo and the TV lounge, they work with the individuals whether it be memory care, and they have general games. They did have a little physical fitness program in the morning. They get them all out there, stretch them, and kind of work with them to keep their bottoms moving.

Montclair Royale is very nice, and the people were very good. The staff was very friendly. It is a very nice place. It is upgraded, and I think they just renewed the whole inside of it right before we got there. It is all updated, and it has a very friendly atmosphere. It is very nice, and the person who did the walkthrough was very sweet and very nice. They have big rooms, there's two little rooms, and they all seem to have a nice view. They have laundry and a salon. They have transportation and family members can take them.

My brother-in-law is currently in a facility called Montclair Royale. He has been there since the end of May. I have some doubts about the qualifications of some of the employees. Not the management but some of the employees. They have activities, and the facility seems adequate. It is an older facility, but they have been doing upgrades. He has Alzheimer's, so what he says and what really goes on is sometimes hard to sift through. I have eaten there, and I wasn't impressed. They need to have better communication though. They need to have better communication between management and staff and between management and the clients.

I liked the staff at Montclair Royale. They were really helpful, and they treat you like they really care about you. They had Bingo, walks and exercises in the morning, and once a week a singing group comes. It was a very nice experience, and I was with all my friends. In the beginning the food was really good, but they keep changing the cook, and finally it wasn’t good at all.
